I'm ready to walk out the door now. Washed, scrubbed, flossed, dressed & hair done.

LOL in progress. Spent some extra time trying to get red clay dirt stains out of LO white karate uniform. I give up. It is going through the washer now, but I'm fairly sure it is impossible. One of the Mom's told me last night that she used straight bleach on her child's uniform and the stains didn't come out. LO needs a bigger size anyway. Wonder if Amazon has white karate uniforms? hum.....

Just checking in but will be back later

LadyM.... Soak and then wash LO's uniform in your electric dish washing detergent, like cascade. Works like a charm and gets the grass stains out too.

Later taters...

Hello Dear Ladies,

Dark and rainy day here.

Did a load of laundry, helped Dbrother, dishes and cooked lunch.

Going to follow what the beginning of the week was, basics only and just stick with that until Monday. Then back to routines.

Called Dson in NC. He is looking for his boxes from UPS to arrive today.

He and his Dad just text for now. DH keeps saying he hopes he moves back, don't think that will happen.

Added more music to my I-phone, have BJ Thomas and The Hollies now. Also Dson-18 introduced me to The Black Keys so have some of their music too. Try to have some current music along with tons of the old stuff.

Trying to make a grocery list too. Will pick up a few things tonight and the rest on Sunday night.

Need to do some arm and shoulder exercises.

Great day to all!

LadyM, I don't know what to tell you about appliance delivery time - completely different from my experience in February. Anything and everything could be delivered "in a few days".

Our title today "gets" to me, because I seem to be slipping in my thinking a little. I've got the dailies honed, of course. But moving past that I am recognizing some indecision, paralysation. There's a lot in my life with claim to "priority" and so I tend to... stop...

Dd called the bass song leader last night and he is agreeing with her that she can miss Sunday and he and the other soprano will be fine. In fact, he is a little irritated, she thinks, that "someone from your family or mine always has to be there". Well... ... sorta, yeah. We knew it was going to be tough when our former leader left for Nebraska. The bass probably has the next most helpful and familiar voice/presence in the church, and we are a small congregation. Can't really afford to hire.

(Oh, realizing the blessing of having a modest budget that fits one page, and too little in the bank to suggest temptation.)

Dd's forever friend has a birthday party sleepover Sat night in another town. To get her back in time for rehearsal is possible, but not really practical. And she has never missed this annual sleepover.

Sadie, remember if there is anything about this region that dson doesn't want to ask new cool friends, he can ask the old fuddy-duddy up the road. :D I'm sure he is enjoying the delightful weather - this weekend will be mid-70s for his town, I think.

Hi ya'll. I'm finally over the side effects of my flu shot. Man! it was almost as bad as having the flu for a couple days and then being stupid tired for a few more.

Working on the den some more. Trying to get things grouped together. Just too much stuff in there - but I'll eventually get it cleaned, I hope.

Going to make some pumpkin muffins with raisins and pecans. Made them plain for church last week and they really went over well. Only problem is they only use a partial can of condensed milk for each batch and I have to make another batch us use up the rest of the milk. Don't like recopies that do that.

I'm also reading a non-fiction book for a book study at church. It is really hard going when I mostly read fluff. Called The Lemon Tree and is about the Arab/Israel conflict. I've got 2 weeks to get it read.

Harriet mid 70's weather sons delightful to me. It's going to be a weather breaking high of 96* here tomorrow... Ugh. I am cleaning my windows inside and out today and I believe I see some swimming in my near afternoon future if I get too hot :o

However I am wondering how much this afternoons eclipse will effect the temps. I love that I will be able to see this one.

Lucylee.. While cleaning my windows and vacuuming ... I do my best thinking then. I was wondering about your drapes and blinds. If they haven't been washed or cleaned in a while perhaps they are contributing to your allergy problems. I know dust and dust mites contribute to mine. If your dh is against cleaning them then maybe you could say for your health reasons they need to be removed and cleaned. When I had mini- blinds I would fill my bathtub with water and cleaner, stick my blinds in one at a time and let them soak. After 15 minutes or so I would use a toilet owl brush which I only used for this task, scrubbed the blinds and then put them in my grass to dry.

It was a funny looking sight for sure. I usually did this chore a few day after summer break started. And it sure did make a difference with my allergies...

Break time over... Back to my window washing. I'm with you Sadie with your music choices. Got mine going in my ear. Makes working so much more enjoyable. :D

LadyM, I would build a higher platform on top of the platform in the new house and put my washer & dryer on that. DH's neice is raising some cattle, she is getting a ton of money for them. However, I do not eat as much beef any more, it is way expensive!

Just puttering around today. Have LOL hanging. Made a dpc. Straightened out a file. Got a free calendar in the mail and I prepped that for the coming year. It's a little smaller but I'm hoping to redo the bulletin board and put it on there instead of hanging it above. I don't know if I can remove enough stuff to make it work, but I'm going to try. Now if someone would send me one more calendar I wouldn't have to buy one for 2015.

Been keeping the news off. It's calmer around here.

Lucylee, I agree with RRose about dust on things. Maybe that would help your allergies.

Our blinds were fixed and I picked them up 2 days ago. DH is disappointed they were unable to redo any of the brackets up inside, so we still have the problem of the sharp metal; they also used a lighter cord even though we gave them the nice heavier cord we'd bought. It would have fit where we needed, and I'm not sure why they used the lighter. The blinds are covering our dining room table; DH is considering how to change the brackets himself. I still have my yellow sheet up at the window!

Certainly a point well taken, re: drapes/blinds (really curtains/blinds) -- I don't have any formal drapes, just "country curtains."

Other thoughts... hmmm... glad I finally got started w/laundry.

Hello, villagers ~
I'm having an off day. I got up at usual time, but after I was up a few hours I went back to bed and slept 3 more hours. It just occurred to me that it's been a week already since the first day of sewing camp. That's about the same timing as when I get sick after a family gathering, so I may have picked up a virus from one of the camp attendees. Time for some extra vitamin C!

The walks yesterday from and back to the mechanic's garage for my car were nice except for a couple parts where I was forced to walk on the highway. No sidewalks, but there were some parking lots that I could walk through. Perfect weather.

I walked under some extremely tall pine trees and saw pinecones all over the ground. I had planned to go back there today with some bags to pick up pinecones, but it's been raining on and off all day. I'll try to go back on a dry day.

News from family says that DH's siblings have already moved some of DMIL's belongings to her new apartment. I need DH to call DMIL tonight to see if she wants help packing anything this weekend. The big move will be Nov. 1st. I didn't know she would have access to the apartment before then or I would have offered to help before. Obviously it is a lot less stressful for her to not have to do it all on the same day.
