Ds is doing the responsible adult stuff and finally arranged tenant insurance and moved his car insurance to a cheaper plan offered through work. Spent less on both than just the car insurance at his old place. The only responsible adult stuff he needs to be doing now is organizing/tidying his apartment (it is a disaster zone.)

I got the humidifier working. Turns out it hadn't been seated properly. I've moved it to the living room to keep an eye on it. Moving it from room to room unseated it again so we'll have to keep an eye on that.

Double checked and my meeting has been cancelled for today so I don't have to go out. Therefore I won't.

I just talked to dh's oldest dsis. She got sick the same day I did. I had talked to her the day before. I was wondering why I hadn't heard from her, but my db's dw had told her we were sick. She had went to the ER and they had tested her phlegm and the results took a week. She has/had MRSA, the super virus. This dsisil has had cancer twice and this flu bug has really taken a toll on her. She told me that youngest dsisil had her pet scan yesterday and will hear the results on Friday. This dsisil in on her second cancer, this time ovarian. Oldest dsisil said that youngest dsisil wants her dd to take her to see oldest dsisil next weekend. Dniece is a nurse and has agreed to. I kept my mouth shut but with the MRSA issue, I don't think a chemo patient needs to be visiting for the weekend. Especially when dsisil told them that the bathroom will be clean and that's all she can promise. Like I said I kept my mouth shut, because with their health issues, who knows how long they will be with us and I know they miss seeing each other. It is not my call to make.

I had intended to clean today, but I sure haven't gotten started.

I want to do my hair today and see if I can make it look decent. I have an 8 am dentist appointment in the morning and won't have time to experiment then.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear Lynlee! Enjoy your special day :)

((Hugs)) for Harmony & Kathryn, along with wishes for today to be a much better day. Also get well wishes for those who are still not feeling well.

We got about an inch of snow, Feline Friend. I'm with you -- snow covered trees are so beautiful :)

I'm feeling scattered & unfocused today. Dh just asked me to help him with something before he leaves the house. Be back later.

Waving ~~~ to everyone.

Hi everyone! DD12 and I had Girls' Night Out at my house, with take out Chinese. We did crafts with Hogan. I have solved my scheduling problem with Elizabeth's Own Auto Repair - DD wants to be there when I do it, so Sunday afternoon. When she left, I tried more fridge/freezer cleanout. Is it possible for ice to go bad? I have no idea what/where the smell is, but I cannot stand it! I finished reading my Christmas cards and now know who needs a reply. I have already been to two meetings at payroll. I am not happy today, because i am really itchy in lots of places, including one that I cannot scratch in public. Also, a very weird problem with my right ankle. It feels like there is a cold breeze on it all the time. It is clad exactly the same as my left ankle, which is not cold. I wrapped it in my jacket on the train (about an hour) and even under the jacket I felt the 'breeze'. Cannot understand this.

Payroll's tasks:
fix reports
backup reports
retrieve some info from database and send to appropriate person
create training videos (due end of week)
report some problems to a database manager
look up some training for me

Home tasks (in order of precedence):
deposit check
mortgage paperwork
LOL
fridge/freezer cleanout
Xmas card replies
thank you notes to 4 people
email check and send

Here's hoping Harmony is having a better day.

DeeClutter: I strongly recommend the mattress protectors for anyone who has pets. Any place that sells mattresses will have the protectors as well.

I slept the night through after getting back to sleep. Never got up this morning until 9:00. I guess I have a touch of what DH has, though for sure I'm not as bad.

NOT having a wonderful day. I hope you all are doing ok. Kathryn, can you ask some other people in your building what they do about the humidity? Maybe someone else has a solution you haven't thought about.

First thing I noticed is DH went out in his other truck to that dreaded place but he forgot his project book and his lunch. There is nowhere out there to eat. So I had to go out with his stuff. I sat down and drew a map with his directions and the correct street names. Twice on the way I pulled off and redrew the map. I just do not understand why I cannot do this.

Out at the ferry, I intended to sit his little tiny cooler on and he was at the other side waiting for it. Before I could get off the ferry started pulling out and I had to run off. The last time I did this there was a guy at the back where we get on but this time they were both up in the pilot's tower at the other end, so I wasn't able to tell him. grrrrrrrrr

Ok, so once home I look this whole area up online and try to print out directions, which won't print out entirely... so I wrote stuff in myself... then I tried to print the map and it won't print...plus it goes a different way. sigh.....

I'd asked DH if he had a bad morning, and why, and he said yes because he is still really sick. Next job is waiting for us to come, and she is mad at him for getting sick and losing a couple days and mad at him for doing the other job because his truck is out there inaccessible.... so much for people being kind.

Lord, help us get through this very difficult time.

3 W2's came back to me yesterday, said there was no postage on them. I fed them into the slot myself at post office and looked to make sure they were stamped...do NOT know what happened, but now I'm worried about 3 others that did NOT come back...

Elizabeth, good luck with the car repair.

Have s2s. Also changed the towels in the bathrooms. Blocked off the vents in the bedroom wing so the humidity can remain there. I blocked off my bathroom's vent before all the things had dried from my shower in the hopes that it will raise the humidity a bit.

The wind is strong today so the apartment windows are rattling like mad. Ds hasn't been here in such high wind. I found him on the couch under two blankets and pointed out he could turn on the heat! Unlike his place, I don't pay for heat but choose to keep the apartment cool since it makes it easier to go outside or to visit others who live in cool houses. Plus I have tons of warm clothes that I like. I'd rather wear them in the winter and the t-shirts in the summer, not t-shirts year round and not be comfortable any place but home.

(((Harmony))) We really are a pair with our black moods. Hope your day improves.

Hello Dear Ladies,

The arctic air has arrived along with wind and it COLD.

Harriet, I told Dson in NC to expect the temps to drop there too.

Stayed in bed later today, didn't want to face the cold. And wanted to rest a bit more as I go to work today too. Will have to dress warm.

My back is complaining today too. Hurts to do just about anything.

Will do my pulley for my shoulder and see how it goes from there.

got a load of laundry to put in the dryer and then I'm off to exercise and shower.

Keep warm ladies!

Back here doing a bit of paperwork DH called me about. I've been sitting in front of the TV with a sweater on and under the afghan. It is 78° in here and I'm cold, so I know I've got this bug. I told DH not to give me any other work if he could help it as I'm not doing even well enough to get me down the road successfully.

Nothing appealed to me to eat except bacon and I ate a whole plate of that. Of course now that isn't settling very good. I knew I shouldn't be eating that.

Did manage to get all the dishes done. When DH was sick in bed I kept everything going, the cooking / cleaning etc. When I get sick things get very bad around here. But at least I'm not out in cool damp air working like DH today. No wonder he isn't getting better.

(((Harmony))) -do help this 'bug' is short lived. You push yourself unmercifully. Wish I were close enough to help -though I don't know that I'd be all that much help. Have managed to get quite a few things done around here. Just finished doing the dishes. Now thinking about going to the grocery store to get just a few things. Today's the last day of this week's sales and there's just a few things I want to get on the list before they go off sale -maybe after dd gets home. Also want to get supplies for a soup recipe I found today -maybe make that Friday. Tomorrow is the guys' 'chicken wing' day from P ublix. DD and I normally go to Trivia Thursday nights and have dinner there. Sure we've got $50-$75 that we probably need to spend this week. (Winnings from prior weeks -no Trivia Christmas or New Year's). Sure they would have been packed New Year's for the Florida/Oregon game.

Been meaning to wish LynLee a Happy Birthday, even before I came here this morning! So Happy Birthday -hope you have a beautiful day!
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!
