Making it work here. . . I really need to go to the groc. store. I haven't been since a week ago Saturday, something about which I'm actually pretty proud. Once a week is my ideal goal, though nearly impossible on small group weeks. I'm going to go straight after work and then go straight from the groc. store to Hebrew class. that's how I'm going to make that errand work into my schedule today. So, I'll be out from 12:50-ish to 6:20-ish this afternoon.

I'll be going again Thursday or Friday to prep for our family ski trip this coming weekend. S and baby J may be coming with us, it's not clear yet. . .

I still have .75 page of Hebrew to translate. I have finished tutoring student R. I'm in the middle of lunch. . . Before I leave in about 1:10, I'd like to:
- finish lunch
- finish Hebrew
- have a bit of a QT
- lesson plans for today; writing final exam + choosing one of their paragraphs written this session for me to "publish" in a little packet will take about half the class.
- finalize menu plan and groc. list for the week

Slow start to the morning.

Was up late last night and thus up late this morning. Then I got reading for class tonight (a good thing.)

Had an 11:00 phone call, that is handled and leads to a 10:30 meeting on Friday.

Next up is my Monday chores (which is basically cleaning the whole apartment.) The drain has stopped running in my bathtub so that means the tub can't be cleaned. Must send an email to the manager about that.

Hello everybody. I have done necessary chores around here. I've been out a couple times to the garbage cans and the mailbox in the rain. It is drizzly here today.

I have a couple computer chores to do next. There is nothing pressing today. I should tackle some of the things I've been neglecting around here...if I feel like it later. Dinner is in the crock pot.

I hope everyone feels better (Twins) (blessed dd) (Lilac).

Good morning everyone! I did go back and get those Monster High dolls, both of them, AND the Pokemon cards for DD12's 13th birthday. Sunday, I stayed on task: got to church, bought curio cabinet for DD (she selected it), watched movie with her, and got her to youth group. Since my Bible study during youth group is on hiatus until next week, I came back and did lots of cleanup: sewing room and LR.LR still needs more work, but is not too bad now. Sewing room is rather cluttered, but clean and mostly organized. My yarn is overflowing its bins. I may get a wall mounted wine rack and use that, but not anytime soon, I want my savings account back. When she left, I finished the animal org minutes for the last regular meeting. Unfortunately, I found some tasks assigned to me that I had totally forgotten. Will have to confess at the meeting on Wednesday. There is another set of minutes that I need to transcribe from a special meeting. I also took care of a plumbing issue and got meds into five cats.

Tonight is Paint Night. Artists teach classes at restaurants and bars, and a group of us are taking one. It is at a restaurant I like, but I won't have time to eat there, I will barely get there in time because of my commute. I will either have to pick up cat meds before or after the class. The X is coming over tomorrow to help move the new cabinet from my car to DD's room. I need to get the house into a non-embarassing state. In particular, I need to make sure no cats have thrown up in there (again). I DO clean up after them, but they keep messing up again! At least it is a floor issue rather than a bed or chair issue. It is also the last night of cat meds.

FlyLady's zone is the kitchen, which is in need of attention. My kitchen includes my files, so this will help me get things organized and help me to see if I have all my tax stuff.

Harriet: I did notice the flimsy arm joints straight away! Ghost pirate's peg leg comes off, but that is an advertised feature. They are strangely proportioned, but that's ok, they are, after all, monsters. Does your DD sew for them?

I've fielded several phone calls this morning and was busy setting up dates for get-togethers. The best one will be on Friday when our (many years ago) pastor and dwife will be passing through from Indiana to Kissimmee. They've remained our very good friends for all the years since they left our church up home. That's when I first became church secretary and became quite close to dpastor's wife -we still are. Can't wait to see them. They weren't sure they'd be able to make it to church on Sunday so it may be our only chance to see them. They're headed back to IN on next Wednesday.

Made a brunch date with another couple and a lunch date with another gal visiting here -have to go to Bradenton for that one. She'll get back to me. Talked for a while with a friend up home and dh just finished a long conversation with dcamp manager up home.

DDil#2 sent us a 'letter' from dgs2 last Tuesday -his drawings and word for word explanations written by ddil. Still don't have it. Praying it reaches us by tomorrow. They've started another. Love his 'letters'.

Guess we'll have angus burgers and a couple of sides that dd picked up the other day, for dinner. Teased dfriend up home that we would probably 'grill' tonight. With that she was through talking to me.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Dee , That's too funny about your dfriend and your grilling!

Am having computer problems today, for some reason. I hope it was just a "glitch". :?:

It's a rainy day here, it's dark, and dismal. One pen pal calls these days her "3-D Days": Dark, Dismal, and Damp. It's a cute term, I thought. ;)

Need to organize my writing, in the great room, which I'll do in my recliner. Might get out a cute tote bag, to hold my file and things. BFF gave me a sweet Valentines tote bag, as a gift, with my b-day gifts inside the tote. I thought, since some stories are romance, or are about family members' love, the Valentines tote bag would be a perfect match, for my "contained clutter".

Don't need to do LOL today, not enough for a load today, unless I wash the sheets. :?: Don't know if I will today.

Have a wonderful Monday, Everyone! And MAKE IT WORK! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've been relaxing since I walked the dogs, hours ago. Or I might just be lazy. I've eaten two small lunches and tummy is doing good so far.

-clear kitchen counters, wipe
-fold and put away two loads of laundry
-make the bed
-regroup

Making it work, making it work...

DGS has gone home! :) LOL... y'all know what I mean... oh my goodness I love him so much I can't believe it, but ooohhh... I have been sooo tired -- and some of it is just nervous anticipation of what the rest of the week w/dmom involves -- so when ds & ddil came in, and she was hugging dgs, I ran to her, too, saying, "Mommy's home! Mommy's home!" She said, "(DGS) have you been being a brat?" I said, "NOOO, he's just been being 2 years old."

Dmom feels VERY optimistic about recovery from this procedure. She just thinks since it was originally planned as an out-patient procedure, how bad can it be? I sure hope * and PRAY * she is right. She does not think she will need me to spend the night tomorrow. I said we would just see how she was doing.

I have made several phone calls...
* metal recycler -- no, they don't take computers/etc
* allergy doctor -- refills on their way
* family doctor -- yes, they DID incorrectly file my insurance under dh's name... will refile under my name...
* dmom, twice -- still doesn't know check-in time at hospital tomorrow, but she will call them. Surgery (rescheduled) @ 9:30, but it will still not be a crazy-early wake-up time for me.

Waiting on dh to get ready to go to Wmart.
Lots of grumbling from dh...
He gets upset if ds/ddil do things re: dmil's house w/out consulting/informing him. For example, we had all agreed that dbil MUST have his stuff OUT before we took ANYTHING else IN. Then ddil comes home last night w/a bunch of stuff and they insist on taking it on over to dmil's house, so as not to unload/load again. DH just makes a huge deal about wanting to sell/dispose of EVERYTHING ds does not want to keep, before ds brings anything else in -- so as not to confuse ds's * stuff* w/stuff to discard. I told dh he and I (and ds) were both too tired to even talk about any of this, and that dh was being ridiculous. :P
DH is also aggravated w/MY decluttering efforts from Saturday... complaining about extra trash, additional pile-up of stuff in our (unattached) garage, yada yada yada. I'm so glad to have those closets emptied of that junk, I'm just ignoring him on that point. ;)

Glad you're doing a little better, Twins!

Hope you get your computer problems straightened out, FF! Nothing frustrates me so much as a computer that is not doing what it should. Kinda 3-D weather around here, too.

Sounds like a lot of social gatherings in you future, Dee, but so nice to see old friends!

LadyM, I am very impressed w/dgd's puzzle abilities. I don't know if dgs could do 25 pieces or not. He is very good with the board puzzles, where the pieces fit into the indention, you know, probably about 12-15 pieces? But I've never done a jigsaw-type puzzle with him.

Waving to Nancy... Elizabeth... Harriet... Harmony... blessed... Lilac... Kathryn... helia... and anyone I may have missed!!!

Oy. Must report back for jury duty tomorrow and I wasted today when I should have been more productive.

OTOH, I'm still on the puny side, a bit. Not eating much for several days will do that I guess.

DH bowls tonight so I still have some time tonight.
-get f/s ready for temple exec comm meeting tomorrow night (and I am so sick of this....)
-clear kitchen table
-start soup that I was going to make on Friday, will do a regular recipe, not double it
