We have setbacks, changes in our plans, illnesses and other things that affect our energy, to do list, and time available.
How do you work through all of that "stuff" on the fly and make it all work?
Today I'm eating lightly, feeling weak but not too bad at the moment, but need to get things done and not over do it. I'll do my best to make it work today.

Re: Make it work Monday
Obviously you were definitely sick the other day, Twins. Feel better.
I'm up and s2s, meds done, bed made -now I'm eating breakfast and sipping my coffee. Dh is out in the recliner. Just put some ointment on his knee for him. Noticed last night that the knee is quite visibly swollen. Going to keep an eye on it for a few days and then start pushing for him to head north early. Perhaps at least a couple of weeks -if the camper's truck is ready to head out.

Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Twins'Mom. I like Make It Work!
It's especially appropriate for me today because I'm making an unplanned trip north to help DMom and DSis(oldest) with a project. I called DMom last night to chat, and one of the things she told me is that she had received a letter from DSis's nursing home that said they no longer have room for all of the boxes she put in their storage area. They told DMom that DSis needs to sort through and downsize the stuff by Feb. 16th or they will dispose of it all.
I had a full day scheduled, but everything on my list for today can be postponed and spread through the rest of the week. I think DSis was hoping that her DS would help her with this project, but he's had since November and hasn't gotten around to it, and now she's under deadline. I don't think DMom at 86 should have to do this alone and haul a bunch of boxes to Goodwill by herself. The weather is going to be ok today so the roads will be decent, therefore I'm going to go help.

Re: Make it work Monday
Morning y'all...
Today is catch up day for me. Once I know Sweetie is up I will start my morning routines.
I am not nearly as sore as I thought I would be and doing my house blessing will help loosen up those tight muscles. Thank y'all for your wonderful comments yesterday. I appreciate them.
Twins... Hope you're feeling better.
Off to start my morning. Hate to tell what a beautiful day we will be having . Hope to spend some time outside this afternoon. We will be having record breaking heat today.
Enjoy your day and I will cy'all later ...

Re: Make it work Monday
I need to get together a li&t for today and prioritize what I can reasonably do. I need a trip out to pick up meds for dMacs (forgot to do Sat) but otherwise (for obvious reasons) would like to stay close to home. Tummy is crampy after breakfast of dry toast and a boiled egg but so far so good.
-pick up meds for dMacs
-routines
-answer cousin and other emails
-continue with crafty area organization
-stamp a little, or genealogy?

Thanks for get well wishes. I think I will s2s and then go p/u dog meds. I'd like Macs to have meds in him before walking today. Also some updating of to-do lists needed. I don't think I've looked at anything since Thursday.
Not surprised that weight is down another pound this morning.

Twins, that is a smart plan to stick close to home except for picking up meds and a walk with the dogs. Take it easy so you can get back on your feet. The older we get, the longer recovery seems to take. That is a rude awakening.
I plan to stay home today and clean. We have leftovers for supper so I don't have to worry about that.
It is suppose to be 70 today.
Even though I don't plan to leave home today, I will shower of course, plus do hair and makeup because you just never know when something unexpected will come up.

Re: Make it work Monday
Survived the night with grands here. They are at the bus stop now. Phew glad we got that going well. Laundry is going now. Chickens have been fed. I am taking a bit of a breather as I got up at five and have been up nearly 3 hrs. So first round done.
I need to pick up and clean & sweep the deck and patio before the next round of rains come.

Re: Make it work Monday
Nancy, are you keeping the grands while your dd and dsil are on a trip? Sounds like you are establishing a routine to get them off to the bus stop.
I am having a tummy issue like Twins had but mine is not an illness, it is just stress due to an extended family issue. I am glad that I had planned to stay home today.
Dh had washed his big road bike on Saturday. Yesterday he took it out for a ride and when he came back he told me that his days of road trips are over. He said handling that big bike causes him to have back issues. He is planning to sell it, if at all possible. He will keep the other bike because it is more fun to ride anyway.
On Friday dh replaced the window in his garage. It looks really nice but he still needs to get new trim for it, to finish it.
I better get off of here and get busy.....

Re: Make it work Monday
This morning went right on schedule with the right things done at the right time. Two kids up/dressed without any drama and out the door before 8am to take LO to school.
Shortly after I arrived back home, the handy-dandy repair fellas came. They have successfully installed Reverse Osmosis faucet in the kitchen (running lines underneath the house). while they were doing that another fella showed up to spray the yard (pre-emergent and fertilize). I normally take care of my own yard spraying needs but the stickers are so bad where I want to build my raised beds for vegetable garden that I just became overwhelmed and opted to use the professionals to do a big kill of stickers this year.
The 1st handy-dandy repair fellas are making a run to lumber yard to buy some Sheetrock repair supplies. They will be doing 3 small Sheetrock repairs here - behind the washer, behind the TV and in the guest room bedroom closet. Then we will start discussing adding on a bathroom in the bonus room. I'm not sure they are up to the challenge, but we will see what they think. After we have that conversation we will go to our old home and they will check out the tile repair that needs to be done before we close on that house.
DGD3 is fascinated with putting puzzles together this morning. She has put 6 puzzles together (25 pieces each). She wanted to tackle an 100 piece puzzle but I distracted her away from that puzzle with crazy eight cards. I prefer DGD3 not to tackle the 100 piece puzzle without me to help her the first time just because I don't want her to get discouraged. She is confident in her puzzle solving skills and I want to keep that high confidence in place. We will work on the 100 piece puzzle when I can give her/it my complete attention for 30 minutes or so.
