Hi everyone! At payroll I am set to fixing a report done by someone else. I am having to do it completely over, but with theirs as a guideline it should go faster. I am having to fix underlying database queries, and maybe parts of the underlying database, so it is not a trivial endeavor. Yesterday, I ran errands, including a limited ingredient cat food for the cat with red ears (definitely an allergy and most likely to a food). Despite 6 days of steroid treatment, his ears are still red. However, the rest of him is not, so that is an improvement. I didn't do anything else of use, because I finished a book. At least I didn't get distracted over computer Scrabble.

I need to talk to the pastor about the webwork. To switch providers, the church needs a real webmaster. I am a website maintainer. While I do not mind doing that and will continue until someone better is found, there are limits to my knowledge, and I have run into them.

Today, on the train, I finished a crocheted Barbie dress, except for sewing on snaps. I am doing the hat now. I will probably add flowers to it, because I have lots of them. Will post to AC&N when done.

My taxes are long done and the refund long spent (primarily on my black hole of a car). I need to figure out my car budget. That won't be pretty. I don't want to buy something as old and cr*ppy as I already have, but that may be what I can afford.

At least I'm s2s now. Never even took a shower yesterday.
I was planning to finish vacuuming while dh was gone with ds, but then ds called and said ddil was sick and he did not want to leave her alone w/dgs... so the nursing home visit is off, I guess... and then I came to the computer and now it's so late dh will probably be back soon.
If I had gotten busy when I hung up the phone, I would have been finished now.

At any rate, I am joining in trust for medical care... for all the team concerned w/Harriet's family today... and for all of Harriet's dfamily as they wait.

BookSaver, yes we had a busy week with dfam#3, but it was mostly fun. Aside from what I posted yesterday (to have a written record I could access quickly) we managed to squeeze in some time for family game nights, time at the computer for A ncestry dot com, and time to just sit and visit. Ds-T35 has a basic paid acct. for A ncestry, so we have access to many records except the overseas records from Ireland and Germany. I have fallen down that rabbit hole several time this past week!

I have finished cuops....LadyM, congratulations to your ds on his new job. Wish they could be closer to you so it's easier to visit with them. Good luck for their house hunting! Blessed, I hope things are looking up for you now. You've been through a lot this past year! Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear you lost your daunt.

Dee, we never did get any of the rain you had yesterday! We could use it here.

I still have a couple of lol, but have run out of laundry detergent. Have started a grocery list and will go tomorrow to stock up the pantry again. I did get Desk Day finished this morning for the week. I do have some notes want to record, some papers to file and a letter to finish. Easy things to do -- I'm still trying to get caught up on energy!

I truly need to stock up on some groceries too, Sunny. Was going to go today, but my tummy wasn't quite up to snuff. I've been putterin' here and there off and on today. Actually got a lot done. Used the carpet sweeper in the living room/entryway, the office & our bedroom. Would have used the vacuum but it's in dd's room and I don't normally go in there.

Noticed the fluorescent lights in our bathroom have been blinking as they come in for the past few weeks. Well, today they decided to dim partly -sure part of them has burned out. I am sure dsonil won't get around to fixing them -he's just not a 'fixer upper' kind of guy. Dh would be right on and go buy new ones. So, I may have to wait until fall and hope, in the meantime, that they don't burn out completely. If so, I do have a lamp in our room that I can place on the vanity.

Dsonil got another call from C oca C ola yesterday (the nearby plant) to come in for another interview on Monday. Sooner or later something will pan out for him, I'm sure.

DD tells me that DS-A, ddil#2 and dgs2 may be coming down for a couple of days in a couple of weeks. He has to pick up an enclosed trailer somewhere in GA. His business mgr told dd yesterday that DS really needs to get away for a bit. In his words, the winter was "brutal". Sure it was for a lot of other people as well.

Back home from hair cuts and the IRL hospital where I visited my retirement home member who is in for pneumonia (not broken hip - the other residents always tell me it was a broken hip but invariably I discover hips are fine and it was something else that caused the fall.)

Dh had the brilliant idea of looking up where she was before we left and discovered we could divert on our bus ride home and visit her for 'free' since one is allowed 90 minutes of time between boarding the first bus and boarding the last bus. We didn't have time to figure out the route because the bus that pulled up at the first stop was the right one (we asked the driver.) Then I asked the driver how to get home after and she asked where home is and turns out she lives in the neighbourhood so gave us an excellent plan. In this case there was a transfer time of 15 minutes so dh picked up the onions he needed for his dinner tonight and I walked ahead several stops to get more steps in. I should have just walked all the way home, it would have been faster. Duly noted.

The weather is glorious today.

I have to head out in a moment. I've started a load of laundry which I'll finish when I get home. I'm going to let it soak in vinegar and soap for several hours in order to hopefully soak out some smell in the towels.

Just checking the virtual waiting room here before I start back on desk work. Nice to see so many friends all keeping positive thoughts for baby Caroline.

I am thinking of her as "Sweet Caroline" and humming a little.

Got through a round of work on temple biz - I'm calling it enough for today. I need to prep the statement for the meeting on Sunday but I'd rather do it later in the week to include more of April financial activity. Sunday is the "Annual meeting" where I step down as treasurer, altho it's kind of a no mans land until May 1, when our year actually starts.

I'm going to try to get rid of 10 pieces of paper, then I may go upstairs and stamp.

Very windy here today.

I have done some of my exercise ex bike done, posting from the gazelle.
So far so good with the new modem funny how it is what I thought of first and the tech people on the phone h the service guy all tried to see what else it could be but wevhad new wire (coax I think it is called) installed last year. So I was right! Moeem had been here a while lime 18 mo or so.

It is a real blessing for your dfamily, Harriet, to have the good news that all is well with Sweet Caroline. I pray that she continues the same and that her dparents can relax and gain strength from that good news.
