Re: Throw It Out Thursday
Wow! I read for a little bit and napped in the chair. When I came to I figured it was maybe 10/10:30. Oh no, it was 12:10! Guess I needed it. Now I'd best get busy and do something. Have 3 items to be 'fluffed' in the dryer before I hang them and need to get those dishes done. Was contemplating making that Wmart run, but I guess I'm not quite ready to venture out.
And I need to figure out some little thing for lunch.
Editing: Just wondering to myself -how does dsonil use so many drinking vessels in 1 day? (I know, you don't know the answer to that). Out of 11 cups/glasses SEVEN were his. And I did dishes yesterday morning.

Neighbor's car alarm also went off when other neighbor left for work 3ish I am thinking it must be on too sensitive of a setting.

I am back in for a break after doing some ladder work pruned some low hangers from the maple tree. I was disappointed that I am not tall enough to get tbe ones to close to the cable wire.

Re: Throw It Out Thursday
Dee ~ I did the same thing as you except longer -- went up with the cat for what I thought was going to be an hour nap, and slept for 3 hours!
Before the nap I did 3 loads of laundry, cleaned a bit in the kitchen, and flattened several cardboard boxes to take out to the garage.
Harriet ~ To answer a previous question, yes I'm about 3 long blocks from the library so well within walking distance. Kathryn would probably have been walking there every day even in winter, but I'm more of a wimp than she is.
The problems are that there are no sidewalks, and I also have to cross a busy street that is actually a highway/truck route through Tiny Town. This is the first week this year that it is light enough when I get off work after 8PM to risk that walk.
We have clear skies today, though, and supposedly no chance of rain this evening, so there should still be plenty of light for drivers to see me walking on the side of the road. I'll need to keep watching the clock this afternoon to leave early. I want to be able to walk slowly enough to avoid arriving at work in too much of a mess. Will be sure to take a comb with me.
It's time for lunch before doing any more decluttering.

Re: Throw It Out Thursday
My auditor was here, she arrived a bit late. I haven't had enough sleep last night and I was struggling to stay awake. When I nap sometimes I'm groggy for a while when I wake up and didn't want to be like that when she was here.
She did our audit differently than she usually does and it caused major problems. That 3rd quarter when I was having so much difficulty last year wasn't right... and we were trying to find the difference and she ended up taking my paper stacks all apart and I totally lost it amidst a sea of papers, couldn't make head or tales of anything.
I've been doing so well recently, feeling good and feeling mentally pretty sharp... but I sure had old-brain syndrome today. It was very embarrassing. Now I have a huge job getting everything together again.
Trying to decide if I should tackle that mess or go back to bed or eat something...though there's not anything appealing to eat right now... I need some chocolate.

Quick, Kathryn, share some of your chocolate with Harmony. Sorry that this audit turned out to be such a mess maker, Harmony. I always dreaded those audits for DS-A's lawn company -made me so nervous albeit everything was always ok and aboveboard. I simply hated being asked to do them and felt somewhat unprepared. Thankfully I haven't done them in years and am sure his business manager now does them -more than likely as ds doesn't like doing them either.

Re: Throw It Out Thursday
Hello to everyone!
The bug lady has been and sprayed the house. We always enjoy seeing her b/c she is so friendly and acts so interested in everything going on with us. She just became a grandmother for the first time, so we had to see pictures and talk about all that, too.
I've got the 3rd (and last) load of laundry in the washer, everything else hanging to dry...
all packed for trip to college town tomorrow...
s2s, Bible reading done... and
called insurance co. re: that online form that still is not showing up online. She told me to give it up to 4 weeks, and to get a copy of the completed form from my doctor's office, just in case.
Mr. Cranky-pants is visiting here again.
He just gets things blown entirely out of proportion sometimes, IMHO.
Waving to ALL, and wanted to say to Dee, I think that is such a wonderful way of celebrating little Zoe's short life, by visiting Disney and leaving a remembrance every year. Just so sweet and special. (((Hugs)))

Re: Throw It Out Thursday
We've reached a point that we can't NOT do it, LucyLee. We take pictures of the item and a picture of where we place it to send to DS-A, ddil#2 and in this case to dh as well. They love it too. In fact ddil just sent a request for their "Team Zoe" in the local hospital's Stroll for Kids in May. Neither dh nor I will be able to walk (at least I'm pretty sure dh won't be able to -but he can go and enjoy all the fun of the day). She texted back that we could sponsor either dgs15, dsgd15 of dgs2 -all of whom will be walking and trying to raise funds for their part in it. If things go as planned I won't even be home for another week past that.
DD and I have Trivia tonight. Think I'm alright now and can go. I just seem to get more tired these days -can't have anything to do with getting older, right?

Re: Throw It Out Thursday
Back from running errands while dh had a massage. I hate massages but dh loves them.
I mailed the parcel (something waiting to get of the house after TWO years so thanks for the theme today!) I shopped for placemats (nothing I like), Costco for the deck tiles (not in stock), other shops for the previous items (no luck) and then blind store to get a quote. Will show that to dh tonight. Was 3 minutes late picking up dh but it is a nice day to stand around.
Ds was here when we got back (he knew his dad was out but thought I'd be home.) I cut his hair for him (with the hair clippers, not by hand) and gave him his mail (so that's more things out of the house!)
He's off now to help dfs' wife load the summer tires into her car and then get his summer tires onto his car. I like how he's helping dfs while he's at basic training by helping out around his house to do things she can't do on her own.
I have given no thought to dinner (except that I'm getting hungry now.) Maybe we'll go out for chicken or something from the ready to eat counter at the grocery store.
