The news yesterday left me feeling depressed. It would be so hard to send kids to school if mine were younger.

Dh is out tonight so I'm not cooking dinner. Last night I had the Zoom meeting so he and a friend ordered from our favorite restaurant and had dinner on our screened porch. Harumph. He didn't ask me if I wanted anything so I ate the leftovers for my breakfast this morning.

DD10 is home from school excited to share how much fun they had today. It was a party all day with games, snacks, music, fun lights, streamers, and some interesting awards. DD10 said the snacks were plentiful and all favorites with "none of that healthy stuff". They also had lunch catered and served at the party instead of going to the lunchroom. I don't know if this was planned before yesterday's event, but it was just what the kids seemed to need. Lots of serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin hormones were increased.
Serotonin: mood stabilizer, wellbeing, happiness
Dopamine: pleasure, motivational
Oxytocin: Bonding, love, trust

hello again!
it's been a struggle to keep my ADHD under control without letting it get me down. Baby stepping through my day so I did accomplish the little things that made progress
I wrote one job at a time on a piece of paper and did that job.

tornado warnings are about 20 minutes from here - so I am watching the skies. I can hear the tornado alarm from farther away. dh is listening to the radio and I have the local channel weather on.
I had to close the garage doors bc of pouring rain.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Walking in the parade is such a nice image, Nancy. Sorry the study was cancelled, and even sorrier because it was due to sickness. Too bad. But the rest of your day sounds great.

Had a really nice smoothie for brunch and was out the door soon after the window-repair guy left.

This day has been very much a wash. And then still didn't get desk day finished yet - only the phone calls are out of the way. Lots of stuff happened while dd42 was away, of course. I was competent to handle all, but social-ed out now.

Tried to pick up for HRH at drive-through. Taco B, which has a good selection of items we can enjoy (although too salty) was closed, with signs saying it was temporary (?). So rather than give up, tried another place where the person at the window was evidently not even trained enough to put lids on, and one spilled about a half-cup over me at the next intersection.

In such discomfort coming home, but thankfully I do have leather-like seats rather than cloth and was wearing jeans. What if that happened to someone only on a lunch break wearing their office clothes? We choose drive-throughs so seldom, but every time it seems we have bad experiences.

Hello. We've just had a thunderstorm roll through. I guess our dry season has ended. Stay safe, Blessed!

Dee, happy birthday to you. I'm sorry I missed getting here yesterday for your wishes!

Well, I finally got on the computer and made my plane reservation home. I will leave here about the middle of June, so DSis and I still have a few more weeks together.

Monday evening we watched the high school graduation ceremony for my dgrNephew. It was a large class and a really nice program.

DSis and I went to see the new Downton Abbey movie yesterday afternoon. We both enjoyed it very much. Today we shopped for groceries.

I've been watching the T B Lightning games and now they have a few days off until the next series with another team starts.

Waving to everyone.
