I guess blessed was answering here when I was posting/answering in Lynlee's "the backyard - productive or not" thread in Outdoor.

Since she's managed to show some pages, here is the same company's page on Margarita color in sweet potato vine so she can see if we're talking about the same thing. I did not buy that company's (so it may not be quite so ideal) but the same variety from a nursery, and it's happy. It's lime green, almost translucent, and your eyes go to it. I don't know how such ordinary foliage gets attention, but it does. Then again, I love English Ivy, and that's just leaves, when you get right down to it.

Ramblin', I've seen and admired those Red Hot Poker flowers. I am not much of a perennial flower-grower but must admit those are really attention-getting.

My dstepson asked me why I concentrate on annuals, and I think it may be that I'm changeable and interested in variety, so I feel as though I'm free and have not committed permanently if I grow annuals. Growing perennials means the feeling of having to stay true to a past or nostalgic decision, guarding something when I might like to have a clean slate. Anyway, that's my diagnosis of myself. I know that if I thought I'd lose my dmother's wonderful perennial liriope by the back door, for instance, I'd feel guilt. So I love them, and see their beauty, but it's a responsibility love, you know?

I pulled up one barely-living coral bells this past spring (others dead from when dstepdil planted) and the guilt is still with me. Ugh.

I've been with LadyM studying my eating today, although for me it's been mostly giving myself a practical talking-to.

Decided I'd reach the end of the day without sugar, which has been relatively successful. I realized too late once that there was sugar in something I didn't make myself. Planning tomorrow's meals, I hope I can keep this up a bit longer. I have no desire to be perfect, just intentional.
