reluctantly fell asleep
(((Blessed)))) Hopefully you can discover why the reluctance to fall asleep. I am always looking for clues why something is happening with my body.
I made a pot of Jambalaya Rice with ground meat. This is one of DS14 favorite dishes.
It feels like I am playing Tetris with the calendar events trying to create a 48 hour hole in our schedule so we can visit DGS15 to celebrate his birthday. It looks like the 19th and 20th are our only options. Now I need to find out if DGS15 is traveling or available on those dates.

hi - it took me one hour to put away the canned animal food - we had ordered 10 packages at a time during covid as we couldn't get it, cancel the auto ship through customer service as my password wasn't working, cut up boxes for recycling. dh cleaned the cat litter
replaced blade in box cutter
toss the inside garbage from boxes and take off plastic tape before recycling boxes.
flip flopped laundry

I am not having any success matching our schedule to DGS15 (and his parents). They are travelling on the 19th and 20th so those dates are a bust.
I created & printed monthly and weekly calendars to use in planning the Wednesday night meals with church family. It feels like a daunting undertaking to prepare food to feed 120-150 people each week. Planning is vital to reduce stress. The lady who used to oversee it for years has retired and is traveling. She left some notes, but they are vague. At least they give a clue and a place to start. Her notes look like this -
Spaghetti = 20lb hamburger meat, 5 large ragu, 15lbs noodles, 2 large green beans, 8 French bread. Leftovers = none.
Tacos = 34lb hamburger meat, 160 soft tacos, Ten 18pack corn taco shells, 2 cheese sauce
Next up = Painting walls and shelves in DS14 closet.

I am having one of those victim - poor me moments - today is "how do other women do it!" - I know that thinking won't take me very far so I have to turn it around.
I thought I had finished making dinner but I found out that the oven didn't go on. I must not have pressed it right.
I also forgot to turn on the dryer after flip flopping it.
dh fed dogs
next right thing:
clean the counters done
clean the top of the stove
vacuum the kitchen and surface rinse
cleaned cpap
cleaned the few dishes left over
dw washer is on
vacuumed laundry room

"how do other women do it!"
I have no clue. I see other women do what seems impossible for me to accomplish. I try not to compare myself to them.
easier said than done on some days.
I finished painting DS14 closet. It did need a second coat of paint. I'm letting it dry overnight and then tomorrow we will start the process of moving things into it.
DD11 time at school went well. She has 2 new teachers and they have added 2 subjects. I am not sure how her schedule will work because she will have more classes than hours in school. hum...
1 -Math
2 -Science
3- Social studies
4- Reading
5- ELA and Writing
6 -Arts and Music
7 -Computer
8 -PE
9 - lunch & recess
Plus time to move between classes. If they only allowed 5 minutes for students to switch classrooms that would still take up 45 minutes per day. I wonder if they are cutting class time down to 30 minutes per subject. I guess she will find out on the first day of school.
