I just had a long nap this morning made up for the not sleeping much last night.
My leg muscle was hurting night before last.
Had a good talk with my dsis, then bfast and crashed on the couch.
Doing much better now yea!
Too hot to do anything outside much anyway.

I figured out the crochet pattern again this morning but used a special stitch to start it with
the magic loop. We all need more magic in our lives.

CI:
Got the shawl ripped out that was not going the way I wanted.
The other one is great!
T-storms in the distance I hear clouds are bumping together a warning is up so far so good but 45 min. Should be in the clear.

We are having a cold rotisserie chicken tonight with some rice and watermelon for dessert.

Tomorrow night we will have the leftover chicken heated in gravy with mashed potatoes.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.

Cathy, that's good eatin'!

I went down that rabbit hole..... trying to figure out the voting ballot. I was so confused so finally I called the county elections office and got the scoop on the ballot. Why so much stuff isn't on there is because there are quite a few running unopposed and we are a closed election state. We only get to vote on our party's people in the primary election. The General is when we vote for/against people from all the parties running. Okaaayy, now to do my searches. We've gone through all the mail stuff we get...but that's never the whole story.

Why do I feel like I get nothing done?

I find myself wondering how I used to clean a whole house in a day, Harmony. Of course that was over 20 years ago probably. I still wonder how it is that I don't accomplish more in a day. My routines seem to take at least all morning.

Dh and I got back about 1/2 hour ago from car inspection, groceries, favorite burger 'joint' for dinner and the post office. Groceries are put away. I'll put away the clean dishes before bedtime I think and that will leave a sparkling kitchen for morning.

I need to look to make sure dh has Xarelto tabs left for this weekend. It might be that I need to get them filled tomorrow. If so it'll mean a 20+-mile round trip. In that case I think I'll go to A ldi's for some things I need there. It'll only be about 8 miles out of my way to do that (instead of a 25 mile round trip if I do it by itself.) Try hard to combine our trips.

I was doing a l&&t of things that repeat throughout the year and discovered that somehow we've subscribed twice to " Sing ing N ews" for dh. I will look the 2 up and straighten that out tomorrow. Still see no refund on our S irrius account on our cc so need to contact them and straighten that out. Forever doing somebody else's job.

I don't think I mentioned this a.m. that we're supposed to be going to the local AA baseball game this evening. Dh is having his client night in a "skybox" tonight and the game is now a double header because they were rained out last night. And now it's raining and I'm listening to it online on a rain delay. I'm trying to delay my departure a few minutes because apparently they can may call a rainout. Off, now playing a recorded Tommy Lasorda interview from a few years back.

I'm trying to find something to wear that won't turn transparent if I get wet.

First coat of paint on north wall in DS14 bedroom. Since I am the slowest painter on the face of the earth, I only paint one wall at a time.

I worked on sorting more stuff from DS14 bedroom cleanout. I think about 95% of his clothes, shoes/boots, and coats are decluttered, washed, dried, and organized in his closet. I am going to be super strict on him being a slob with his clothes. My biggest regret with raising DS49 was letting him be a slob in his bedroom. After much effort I just gave up and shut his bedroom door. I don't want to make that same mistake with DS14. I have set new rules for him = all his clean clothes will be in his closet. All his dirty clothes will be in his bathroom. Absolutely no clothes are allowed in his bedroom.

DH and I are methodical with our clothing care. We do the exact same steps each day to take care of our clothes. We wash, dry & put away our clothes daily. So why do the kids we raise do the exact opposite? I need to find a way to stay up with this without becoming a daily bedroom inspection police person. I just sent DD11 a text and asked her to set a timer and spend 5 minutes cleaning her bedroom. Texting instead of talking might work.
