Tonight for supper we are having pork butt/shoulder chops that are in a mushroom gravy. First the meat is seared on both sides in a very hot frying pan, then removed. The a bit of water gets swished around to clean the bits in the bottom of the pan and then a can of cream of mushroom soup gets whisked in with the bit of water. Then the chops go in and the heat gets turned all the way down and a lid goes on. After about 30 minutes, the meat gets turned over. Lid goes back on and chops get to cook for another 30 minutes. Tonight we will have mashed potatoes and a green veg to go with it. Dh will eat 1 1/2 of the chops and I will have the other 1/2. No left overs. Dinner will be served at 5. (6) Cats have already been fed because they spent 30 minutes reminding me that their supper was late. Tomorrow night they will wait an additional 30 minutes and then we will be on track again. They know exactly when 5 p.m. is.

dishes emptied from this morning and the few dishes that I had in the sink are now in the dw. dinner was made and now sits in the microwave for dh as he won't eat until the time he sets in his head. I tried to wait but I was hungry. 8-) dd went to get chipotle as she couldn't have the left over quiche I pulled from the freezer (it has cheese). She didn't want the fried potatoes but that's okay /or the veggie sausage.

counters cleaned again
I brought dogs back inside as our neighbor is having a fire.
I finished washing part of the kitchen by hand and the other small bit by mop.
dogs blankets are finished, the whites are in the dryer , my dark cloths are now in the washer
my grocery list is finished for tomorrow

I am almost to the end of the book.

ta ta for now. it's dark already and it's 5 pm. wow

Hi, here I am a bit late. Went to the last service at church. I showed a lady I know there my finger. I was worried about it as I'd kept the bandages off overnight to give it some air, but this morning it had a lot of red under the skin around the boo-boo. I was beginning to worry about an infection or blood poisoning. I've been putting an antibiotic salve on it. This lady is in our class, and she told us she used to be an EMS and now she runs her own home health company. She said no, it looked like it was healing but she told me a better salve to use. I stopped at the drug store on the way home and picked up some.

Mopped that bedroom floor, moved furniture around. Even after I'd vacuumed, there was still a lot of black fur to get up. With all the fur I've collected, I'm surprised those critters had any left.

Got Garbage gathered up. Asked DH to help get dinner together, there was a lot of prep work, and hard to do with this finger. I don't know if he's much help, sure takes more time when I ask him to help...and of course, guess who did all the cleanup, me! Makes me want to give up.

Things progress so slowly around here. Can't wait till this finger heals.

Sure hope that finger heals soon, Harmony.

I finally fell asleep for a little while and then got up as I couldn't back to sleep. Have been researching flights between Tampa or Orlando to Rochester for dh. Want to have something in place if we decide soon what we should do. No matter it's complicated for sure on both ends.

It's too warm in our room but I'm afraid to turn on the fan as I know dh gets so easily cold at this point. So, I'm sitting in the office and trying to cool off for the present.
