No apologies needed, Mystery! But thank you.
He was running a fever yesterday but seems to be normal today, but he says he still doesn’t feel good. He is so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

And since he’s been in bed all morning, I guess I have played sick too. Now, here it is 1:35 and I still haven’t s2s!

BBL when I am more presentable!

blessed you took a video. i think that's brilliant.
with dh at home the travel will be gone from scheduling. So, take your time to consider each caregiving item and be content with yourself - no one could be the ideal nurse that you can be.

Ramblin' yes, what a wise decision - you should teach.

LadyM write that recipe on a card for him!

Rare comment :
So pleased with a Doctor today!
Went with HRH to follow up dermatology and afterward the two men were just chatting (dr has a new baby) and so I bravely asked, "to whom should I be referred for this?" pointing to a spot on my forehead. He stared, shone flashlight, froze it (slight gasp) and said, "Nobody". He called back to me, "Aftercare is leave it alone and let it be angry."

HRH already thinks so highly of him and of course now I think he's a saint. I actually thought he would say to go to someone who does specific cosmetic things, and just wanted to be directed correctly. I had first asked for a dermatology referral this past fall and the request was forgotten. That was for this little thing and a mole on my upper chest/neckline. While I was napping in November, my surgeon had decided to just take the mole away and surprise me. So now both my concerns are off my mind (well, except that this anger on my forehead will take a few days to forgive me).

Harmony's expertise ... .. Gutter people are here giving HRH an estimate. They wanted to know, "white or black". ( ? ) There is no black trim anywhere on this house, only white. They seemed to think I would still want black ... .. is there something particularly good about black?

d Lucy I think you're presentable and beautiful all the time!!!

d harriet -thank you for the encouragement!
so nice that you have a dr. you both love!!!!
how wonderful he took the mole off! extra special care.

My dh's cousin in law is a plastic surgeon. He saw a mole on the bottom of one of my d sister in laws foot while we were sitting by his pool with family. The next day he took it off her foot! He did the same with dh's other sister's cheek.

black gutters are big, now, in our area with young couples and their homes.
Not for me as it wouldn't fit my house.
It's just a new trend.

hello all. I have been working and my counters look better.
Next finish sweeping and vacuuming the kitchen.
put things on the kitchen table away
put the two bags of bedding in the car so that I can

well darn it the drs. told me that dh would be having a scope go down his trac and change it. They were going to test his chest mass. Now they want to send him home tomorrow. I don't have any equipment. I don't know why they are not going to work on him now.

January snow theme decorations are in the process of being taken down. I have almost everything gathered and packed in the blue plastic tub, but I usually find random things a day or so later. Even items that are only displayed & used for a month become invisible. I have the hot pink tub containing February love theme decoration out and it brings joy seeing the treasure collected over the years. I am a day or two early switching the decorations, but it is a good distraction from the yucky weather. I prefer to not get in a hurry & enjoy the process.

We are having left over pork roast heated up in gravy with mashed potatoes and green peas. I asked dh if he wanted it served over a slice of white bread, like in a diner.

Dh is out this p.m. so I'm not cooking. I have soup from last night and will make a sandwich to go with. I've been working on some deeds and enjoying myself thoroughly.

Well, I don’t know about beautiful but I at least feel a little more confident if I should run into someone I know, LOL. Thanks, blessed!

Other than s2s, I have done my Bible study, been to the post office, and talked to ds & dgrands on the phone. DH is taking a shower now and I’ll have to dry his shower after he gets through. I do wish he would get strong enough in his legs to do that little chore. And it IS a little chore – takes about 5 minutes… and I’m glad he wants to do it to help keep his shower from getting soap buildup… but for some reason it just aggravates me when I have to do it. I guess it is an opportunity to work on the virtue of patience.

Twins, my dmom with her accounting background, similar to you, keeps everything filed by year and in various files – electric bills, phone bills, etc. She has these in bankers boxes (I think that’s what you call them) stacked in her old laundry room, which is in the garage – (ha! Not with her Corvette – it’s in a separate garage. LOL.) I doubt she has looked at ANY of these since the box went to the garage. She knows she doesn’t need them all anymore, she just doesn’t have the energy to rotate out the old ones and is a little paranoid about just putting them in the trash, which I guess is wise. But oh my goodness… what a chore my brother and I will have when it comes our time to clean out her house.

NOW… Sheldon here is a totally different story. I think I’ve told y’all this before. He files them by type also, but they are in stacks in drawers and otherwise unused cabinets in the kitchen. There is no rhyme or reason to which stack goes where, so far as I can tell, and it is just insane. And we very rarely need to look at a previous bill. IF he precedes me in death, there will be a change to this system, I can promise you that. But while he is living, I choose my battles and if this makes him happy, it’s fine with me.

WTG, Cathy on cleaning off the ironing board “hot spot”!

And brrrr… LadyM… did dd stay all day at school? IKWYM – the officials are d***** if they do and d***** if they don’t when it comes to cancelling school for weather. I love the way you’re doing your seasonal/monthly decorations, btw.

So glad your bs is doing well, Nancy!

And yes, Rose, you will be the perfect person to lead a new class! Good for you!

Blessed, I think it will be easier to get into a better routine once you have dh home and can cut out the travel time. I know things will come up that are unexpected, and you may have the home health people in and out, but still, all that “wasted” time driving will be eliminated. AND the expense of gas, which today is no small thing at all.

That is wonderful that you were able to take care of your face while at HRH’s appointment, Harriet! Kudos to that doctor!

We don’t even have gutters. (This has nothing to do with the roof leak, however – it is well above the roofline and around the flashing of an attic dormer.)

Mystery -- were y'all playing board games/card games? That is so nice, to have family time like that with friends!

Well, I hear dh rattling around in the bathroom again – he’ll be ready for my assistance soon.

OMM for tonight:
[ ] supper (we’ll do take out, I’m sure)
[ ] laundry
[ ] type church notes (I’ve put it off a full week)
[ ] some catch up stuff from yesterday, just little things like watering plants

RANT -- does anyone here have Directv? We get very aggravated because often times, FOX NEWS channel will go out and nothing else IS out. Just that channel. We've called them and they have no answers for it. It may last 5 minutes, 15 minutes, an hour. It has been 30 minutes now. I know not everyone watches FOX, so please, no judgement here... just wondering if anyone noticed it in other parts of the country.

well we are in limbo right now. I haven't cried until now. The social worker called and said she needs at least three days to get what he needs. she doesn't "think" he will be sent home but doesn't know.

I also spoke to the old ent as we asked the hospital to use them as his ent. They said that because he had an emergency trac done by the Hospital far away that they will not take him as a patient
