I'm off to the store and then to pick up pizza. I took a walk in the bright sunlight since it wasn't at all cold today, just under freezing. Sunny days are lovely. Sunny days without bitter cold are extra special!

So perhaps not another scan here? Docs probably taking out gall bladder tonight or tomorrow?

Tomorrow at 8 a.m. is the appointed time. I am home and getting myself into pajamas. Might even order door dash comfort food of some kind.

Praying here for you and dh, Twins. Hoping they indeed find the source and he can get back on track real soon.

Pretty much same scenario here. Dh hasn't been doing too well the past few days. The Home Health nurse came to see him today and said, "I know you're not going to like what I'm going to say, BUT, I think you need to go to Urgent Care and have them do bloodwork." So off we went in search of same -not open so tried the UC at the hospital and couldn't find that and finally figured out that no matter what once they drew blood it would go to the hospital anyway so into ER we went. After about 4 hours when his labs came back his hemoglobin has dropped quite a bit since it was last done in the hospital. Dr said they were keeping him so they can observe and try to figure out just what's going on in his body. But then he came back to say the Dr's in the hospital said they wanted him to have blood if his # was 8 or below. It was at 8.1 so he's thinking they'll probably do transfusions again. They started giving him IV fluids and were getting him ready to transfer. So dd and I came home for the night. Also said his creatinine level is up and they know something is causing that -possibly increased bleeding. Dr did ask why he's still on Eliquis (blood thinner) since EKG shows he's no longer in Afib (he had that heart ablation December 14th). So being really hopeful here that they'll get him off it. It has the side effect of giving him intense itching all the time and a very metallic taste so has no appetite at all. Dh was perfectly content to stay so that's good.

Dh is due to have the Capsule Endoscopy on Tuesday the other side of Orlando at 8:30am. We'd pretty well decided today that we're going to get a hotel room Monday afternoon and ask for a late check out on Tuesday if we can get it. Once he has the procedure done we have to be back at the hospital for a 3:30 appointment to remove the camera apparatus. Then we can come back home. He has a follow up appointment with that Dr March 7th I think.

Needless to say because of all the broken hospital stays at multiple hospitals (in Rochester and down here), we're spending a small fortune. That being said it just doesn't matter -it's only money and I'd much rather have dh with me.

Haven't been too regular here of late. The days just seem to run right into each other. There's so much else going on in our small village and I'm trying to keep up with all of you.

Dee, I'm glad that your and your dh are together too! That said, I hope you can have a good sleep tonight, knowing he's being well cared for and you are not on duty.

Not another village husband in the hospital! I'm sorry Twins, hope everything will be ok and swift recovery.

I did practically nothing all day. For some reason I was just sleepy and tired. Napped a lot. I answered a letter, sorted mail, and I cleaned up the kitchen a couple times. Brought in some laundry and folded the dish towels.

The coming week is awfully busy, I'll be out every day but one. I'm a little apprehensive thinking about it all. 2 mornings at church, 2 medical appointments with DH, 1 stop at the audio clinic with DH, and 1 trip up to the eye doctor. Phew.
