I am late starting my card file today. I need to simply and stay within blocks of time.

I am back on zone work for the house as I was feeling a bit out of control. I work in the garden in the summer and the house tends to fall apart.
getting back on zone work seems to help my ADHD which is rampantly looking for rabbit holes - lots of fairies and butterflies taking me in all kinds of directions. :D

zone 2 kitchen/laundry room

Christmas zone:
front door entrance
start Christmas planner again.
So far: I made the tab: Christmas
Ordered the window cleaner to come before it's cold. - waiting for call

Garden zone: work on zone 3 until it's completely cleaned up.
to buy in October or late September bags of compost - I need to put bags of soil around the pots in the back so that the pots/boxwood in containers etc. do not freeze through and die.

dailies for:
1. house
2. laundry focus - my cloths
3. weeklies paper work, phone calls, letters, think of birthday present for d gr. niece, my studies
4. garden: zone 2: weed/deadhead veg and flower garden - refill dogs pool
5. Me: pt on ankles
6. dogs: working on kennel/place

heading out to get dh cash - he gave me the tip for the drip system people and he doesn't want a check. heading to the bank.

bw2, I tested negative for COVID on Sunday but I may still be "coming back" from it. I didn't work out at the gym last week and I was exhausted yesterday, and I'm a little sore today. I did walk 56K steps last week - 8K average daily, but it doesn't compare to the workout I get. My triceps and hamstrings are sore too. Probably some residual tiredness from workout and 10K steps yesterday.

I've gone back and forth with dd this a.m. She's in a friends' wedding here on Sept 30 and she felt bridesmaid's dress was too tight - so advised her to find tailor. Which she did, and then called to talk on her way back to work from there. I don't think she's staying with us. We will go to the wedding - it's actually a renewal of vows - they got married last year in a tiny wedding so they could move in together but wanted a bigger one to include family that was excluded and friends. (This was the couple who has dog sat for us a couple of times.)

I'm heading out for five errands, one is getting a pedicure. I like to get there early at the walk in places so I don't have to wait. I'm not very early today. (Rats, just identified another errand - I sent a return back on 23 Aug and it shows as not in the system! I need to go by post office. And....earlier I checked on a shipment from Stampin up - the email that showed it shipped had a USPS tracking no but it's coming by FedEx. That's weird.)

The milk/sugar mixture continues to simmer but everything else is finished and ready to eat. The simmering mixture will need another hour with occasional stirring.

After standing in the kitchen for 1.5 hours I realized my feet hurt. I rotate between 4 pairs of shoes wearing a different pair every day. Recently I recognized my feet were sometimes sore but wasn't sure which pair of shoes was the culprit. Now that I've discovered which shoe is the problem, I will get rid of them.

Dh decided we had to go get groceries, so we went. They had almost no frozen treats other than some ice cream. Popsicles and other things we enjoy were totally sold out. Maybe that's a good thing. Right now dh is munching on a popsicle that was in the bottom of the freezer in the kitchen.

I managed to get the white "door skin" and the wooden one both unconnected to the walls in the 2 closets. Discovered that part of the problem is that there is a sheet of drywall in there as well. I took a large hammer to some of it, but I need to go back out to the garage to try to find a saw. I know there must be at least 1 that isn't a power tool. Dh loves power tools and uses them when he has a choice. I prefer non power tools. Plus I don't want to ask him to bring in the small compressor.

Hoping for some rain this afternoon to bring the temperature down. Just walking from the truck to the house makes us too darn hot.

I bought some spaghetti when we were out.

Later... Shhh!! Don't tell dh. I used a large kitchen knife that I have never seen him use. He has his favourites, and I know he bought this set for the carving fork. Most of the drywall is out other than the stuff above my head. I'm making one heck of a mess and there is white dust everywhere. That's okay, because I have wanted to solve this shelf problem for so many years. It's so close to being a finished project now.

yay on the 56k ww wonderful
I am sure your dd will be happy when the wedding is done. I hope she has a wonderful time!
have a great day of doing errands. enjoy your pedicure!

d lady - hope your feet feel better as the day moves forward and you do too!

hello d everyone.
I had the drip water people back again.
I knew the system was leaking in the box but they didn't believe that it was possible.
They ended up digging the whole box up and tightened the leak and replacing it into the ground.
I still don't know why they put the box where they did but it's done.
The workman, too, said they hope that all the problems are finally fixed. I like the guys - I just am not sure if the guy that is owner is listening to his employees or to his clients. A lot of the problems could have easily been taken care of if he stopped assuming things instead of truly listening - he does a lot of jumping the gun and not giving drawings. it's all in his head.
It is in and I am happy for that. Next year they will do another zone in the back and do the job that I had asked for originally. I will have to pay for the extra zone and the extra work.

d dogs I know want me to be outside.

I heard from the vet about one of our cats. I could do a biopsy but that would be 2000+ and as she is 13 and has lost so much weight I have decided not to go through that for her. I had an x ray and a thorough ultrasound of her abdomen etc. so far over $750. The ultrasound doesn't show any cancer in areas but it shows that her intestines are thick in many areas. It could be irritable bowel or cancer of the bowel that they can't see. I have decided to have them treat her for irritable bowel. I can only hope that the new food and the steroids help her. She is a sweet little thing. I think it's cancer but I will know in a month if the protocol is working.

next:
dailies.
I might do the jobs backwards just for fun!

I'm home again and still tired, or more tired! I took glass to recycle, then to Lowes, then to Staples (didn't have what I needed, but I did need printer paper then I got a couple of spontaneous purchases :? ) Then quick lunch and pedicure, back to post office (where everything was okay with the package I sent) and a stop at the bank for the HOA. I was going to add in a car wash but decided against it. Also have half a tank of gas, should fill it proactively soon too. So I've done everything on my list for today except for bringing down recycle from upstairs and cleaning the garage refrigerator, and I'm declaring those not time sensitive and I'll do tomorrow, or Friday.

I think I'll actually lie down for a few minutes, and set myself an alarm. I am tired.

Twins… I’m the same way. Get something’s done and then I have no more energy to do anything else. At least I’m doing a bit better each day, but I still get tired by the end of the day. Trying to push myself to get more steps in, but I don’t think it will happen today

I walked the dog and crossed over to 10K steps for today. I am feeling sore from workout - glutes, hamstrings, quads, triceps. I laid down with an alarm on and slept 45 minutes hard.

I have steak marinating and a sweet potato baking. I think I'll make spinach also, mostly for dh but I'll eat also. He's on a Zoom upstairs for a while.

Tomorrow I have my workout at two, and we'll try again to celebrate the anniversary with dinner out with A and V.

It took me a full two months to regain my energy and stamina after covid. There were other factors besides covid, but it definitely slowed me down even when I was testing negative. Wondering if those who are a few days or weeks after covid might have too high of expectations?

A series of weirdly unconnected activities all came together this afternoon resulting in us agreeing to sell some land. Earlier today the thought popped into my head, and I asked DH "Do you think we will ever sell that land?" DH replied affirmative that he was ready to sell. We discussed calling various family members to see if they wanted the land but then we dropped the subject. We pulled up in the parking lot to pick DD12 up from school and saw a lifelong DFriend waving big at us. So, I parked next to him to chat while we were waiting. He has been asking to buy our land for years because his home and land share a fence line. I told him it was the strangest thing to run into him because we just decided that we were ready to sell, and he about dropped his jaw. He said I have been saving for several years to buy that land and just met with a money person this afternoon to invest that money. He said he would stop the investment and would have the cash money available to buy the land. And just like that.....the land is sold. We still must find the abstract and bring it up to date so it will be a few weeks before all the I are dotted and t crossed to get the sale finalized.
