Hi!

I have very little on my schedule today. I do need to make a couple of phone calls. We need some water delivered.

Dh has asked for spaghetti and meatballs. I need to go buy some spaghetti. Either that or use some other pasta.

We are in for another scorcher of a day. I have 1 fan on right now. I will add more as needed.

The SHE village recent activity has inspired memories & feelings that come with being on the water. Fishing and splashing water are activities that I want to do in the near future. We only have 5 more days of triple digit heat (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) before the temperatures drop into a more pleasant range. Next week's forecast shows our temperatures being in the 80's. I am ready to say goodbye to summer and welcome the fall season.

Sleep chatter ......I am in a really good sleep pattern and want to hang on to it. Regularly getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep and waking up feeling refreshed have become my normal. Sleep scores are high showing that I am not only sleeping long enough but spending the right time in the different sleep stages. Analyzing the data tends to increase when I am doing poorly or very well. I seek to find clues about what is going wrong or right and how to improve and maintain.

Today is typical Wednesday schedule
** Public school
** Homeschool
** Gym
** Meal with church family
** small group study.

I'm making tuna salad and deviled eggs today. Also because I'm curious, I want to try making Dulce De Leche

Beastly day here. It will be difficult to “get it done” while staying in the living room oasis.

We do have some things that can be done over the phone/online. Getting the kids to take the written test to renew their temporary licenses should be easy. Harder is going to be getting the kids set up with a new psychiatrist. Their current psychiatrist has left the practice they’ve been going to and joined a practice that doesn’t take insurance. But looking online, it doesn’t look like anyone outside a hospital setting takes our insurance. Which doesn’t make sense, since the practice we were at did? But we need to find someone soon — their meds aren’t going to last forever, and ADHD meds are hard enough to come by right now. :|

Well, time to make some DPCs, I guess.

Starting here with an enthusiasm I'm not feeling. I woke up tired today. Along with being tired, I'm just plain not motivated today.

I've walked 4K steps, only because dfriend M was out walking too and we caught up together.

Well, if we're going to talk about sleep I don't have anything to say. My smart wrist thing started to tell me about last night's sleep as usual, faltered and now denies that last night existed, which sounds about right. I will require a nap and will again start the process of finding something resembling routine. This is getting ... either serious or ridiculous or just seriously ridiculous.

Sorry I haven't been here much. I am off on a creative baking tangent. ┌iii┐ Considering practice on some home baked Halloween treats for an excuse to play now, telling myself I'll be able to give the children fun surprises when they come. (my grands aren't getting any younger, and even if dd25 adds to them, it won't be any time soon) If not this year, when? I even ordered a cover/dome for (slightly) taller cakes so that I can frost my 3-layer cakes without worrying about "hitting" the top of a cover, and maybe cupcakes could find protection.

I think what happened was that one of the grandboys asked me to plan to make him a bday cake next year the same as one I recently did. The request triggered some deep creativity brain cell that has probably been pouting lately because I won't play with it.

Yesterday Tuesday TaDa plan came together well again. So glad I have that Weekly firmly in place now.

phone call and company is coming at 2. I'd better nap with alarm, possibly with cat. bbl

Morning…

Had to get up and get ready for Sweeties video chat about his sleep study. Only thing we really got out of his results is he needs to discuss them with his dr and that the tests showed he needed a more intensive study done again. Not sure what all of this means, but know he’s having disturbances during his REM sleep
Which isn’t normal. The gal that shared Sweeties results really was only interested in giving data about his study, but wouldn’t give us much information about what they meant. I asked, but she kept referring us to discuss the information with his dr.

The sleep study people have already called to set up another test for Sweetie. They wanted him to come in this coming Monday, but I told them we wouldn’t see Sweetie's dr until after the Ed f this month.

I still have a few more errands in need to do. Will head out to do them in a while. I also want to get in some more steps in so will work on that when I get back

Kathryn… your ds’s wedding sounds delightful. Love the idea of keeping it small and less stressful.

Called in a prescription for dh and I ordered 2000 gallons of water. Message on the water company's machine is "Wait time for delivery is just over 24 hours from now." So they aren't as busy as they were the last time I called. Of course pools are getting emptied at this time of year, not filled. They are always busy in May and June when it's time to fill pools.

Dh has gone in the bedroom to "read". He was nodding off on the couch when I last checked.

Looks like I need to pop out for groceries at some point this afternoon.

I was able to be up to see the last of the sunrise this morning. Did not get up when I heard the neighbor leave at 4 ish. That was good news for me. I am working on adjusting my sleep for the time change to get off my summer sleep schedule. I got some really neat side tables for the deck but am not using them so I put out a stool see how that works out for me. I need to put away the other shelving I took off last month. Changing it a up a bit for fall now.

A.M. qt stuff is done now. Harriet's baking has me thinking ~ I have brownie mixes ahead dgd son said he would be back in 2 weeks. Around his bday. So I can make those ahead one box of them anyway. But I need one more day in the get my creativity room back in order first.

I would like to take donations in but they do not take them in on Wed. so not today. I am pleased I did some anti P. stuff yesterday.
More desk stuff needs to happen today so I will focus on that task after breakfast.

I am SO happy that the kitchen is looking better and counters are more usable now yea for that progress! Wa-hoo! Doing rounds on surfaces in various rooms is a big benefit for me this week. Happy to see my progress on the new stepping stones and I got the table cloth done last evening I fringed it.
