RRose, thinking about your DSister. Been thinking about how hard it must have been to hear about her. Adding her to my prayer list.

No news yet?

I've been looking online and have come up with nothing so far; found a dr. I used to go to 40 years ago...an amazing amount of bad stuff about him. I liked him a lot way back then! I think I'll just give up.

I guess I should get something done. This problem stopped me dead in my tracks.

You've got a lot on your mind, bw2 with the loss of your sweet kitty and your dmom's confusion.

I'm back from the grocery and things are put away. I need to leave in an hour for workout, I just confirmed that the intersection that stymied dh this a.m. is open now.(She said "You can't get rid of us that easily! See you at 2!!" I tried.)

My hip is pretty sore after I thought it had been getting better. Suspect the car ride over the weekend wasn't good for me. We probably should have stopped to stretch but once we get going we keep going. I think I'll probably make a dr appt this week.

I think Harriet said surgery is in the afternoon. Said a prayer for RR's dsis too.

My friend is a sister from another mother.. but still a sister to me! She has shaved her head yesterday and I am sending her some beautiful scarves that were my mom’s. She knew my mom as well. Is seeing a surgeon today which is puzzling to me as we were told no surgery would be done till later in her treatment

She will be getting her pet scan results today as well. Thankfully her friend is going with her. She is a survivor of breast cancer for ten years and will be able to ask questions my friend might not think to ask. Thanks for all the prayers cause I know she’s gonna need them

(((RR & DFriend))) Keeping her in my prayers.

(((Blessed and kitten)))) We do love our furkids and it hurts to lose them.

Home from a very enjoyable 3 hours spent eating and chatting with DFriends.

On our way home we voted so that is crossed off my priority to-do list for today.

next up -
** add vehicle purchased yesterday to insurance policy so DH & DS15 can purchase the tag for it. >>>I am choosing to not have an opinion about this INSANE UNNECCESSARY vehicle transaction<<<< Ooops....I think my opinion might be seeping out

(((Rose)))
and
(((Blessed)))

And I see Harriet is peeking in... hoping they are getting good news... (((HUGS))) and prayers, Harriet!!!
I wish we could all just meet in a real waiting room till this is over...

LadyM, I can't imagine what the insurance is for all those vehicles with a teenage driver! (((HUGS))) for you, too! :)

Waving to Twins as she rushes off for workout... cheering from the sidelines over here...

(((Harmony))) This is just ridiculous that it is so hard to find a dermatologist. Surely someone will come along SOON that will be just the right fit.

Nancy, I am trying to eat healthier myself. Also trying to get more fiber in my diet. I had my normal oatmeal cookie/bar, pb crackers and banana for breakfast, then turkey/cheese/Tiscuits and an apple for lunch. Of course, diet drinks (Dr. Pepper) and a little bit of a diet Coke that was left over last night. I can't leave off the caffeine.

Cathy and Mystery -- IKWYM about the PHONE!!! My goodness!
Woke up, returned call to plumber/electrician,

Dh asked me to call drug store to check on refills on file before he sees cardiologist tomorrow,
while I was talking to them...
plumber called back...
had to call dmom with his message,
while I was talking to her...
ds called...
I left dh talking to him and FINALLY got s2s.
Tomorrow is another day.

I am back from the errands and realized that I forgot bread. So I mixed up a loaf and it is rising. Weather has cooled off enough to use the oven.
I got a teal blue colored strainer that goes with my new pans at the store so have set out the other one to give to some one I think the neighbor's have people setting up a kitchen that can use it. I am pleased. I washed up the dishes after mixing up the bread.

I have tropical music on for the vibe to be bright and sunny. I stopped on my way home and got pics of the fall color and the river. That was a treat.
I saw a friend at the rock drop place and stopped and we visited that was good for both of us to catch up. She is a pretty recien widow.

Brownie mixes are cheaper than cake mixed so got two more of them.I got spaghetti squash, acorn squash will stuff it with meat loaf to bake at some point and a butternut squash. For now they are decorating the front steps and I got a vid. short of them! So happy with that.

Doggie play date is set up later in the week & next week. Starting to think I have a life again! LOL!
Had my cranberry beverage.
2nd loaf of bread is baking now, I miked up sandwich fixins tuna salad.
We are getting a good rains here this afternoon today.

I'm home from workout. With hip hurting we did a lot of stretches but also strength work. Whatever aches, I feel better after I workout.

Glad Harriet checked in and that the surgery is happening today after postponement yesterday.

Glad to see some progress from Harriet.

It has been a day. Constant interruptions. Little accomplished. Actually the only thing I've accomplished today is getting my walk in. That was a mistake, I shouldn't have tried to squeeze it in. There is good news, dh's next cardiologist's appointment is in 2 years.

In the last hour the only thing I successfully managed to do was preheat the oven. But that doesn't count because my hand must have slipped when turning off a timer so I turned off the oven as well. Then put dinner into the oven. It was still warm so it didn't click until 20 minutes later when I to remove the lid for the last 10 minutes of cooking. So dinner will come out of the oven at 6:45. Thankfully it is an hybrid meeting so I will attend from home.

I got back from the walk 15 minutes late because someone wanted to talk and the dinner I'm making is relatively quick to pull together.

I started the oven preheat.

I started to defrost the chicken for the casserole.

I went to get the tin of soup out of the cupboard and discovered there is no creamed soup.

I searched for a substitution online and found one but ended up substituting another ingredient so it was made with bouillon not chicken broth and yes, I know there's a difference.

The chicken wasn't defrosting fast enough and I couldn't tend to it because I was whisking the roux. I've never made a roux and time was ticking so I didn't have time to recover if I blew it. Then I spilled the milk over the pot and burner so I have no idea how much ended up in the soup.

Ken heard the shout when that happened and came and decided he could leave the meeting so he finished up defrosting the chicken. Dinner went into the oven and then didn't get cooked.

In theory it will be done in 7 minutes now but through it all, since there are so many substitutions, there's no assurance it will be worth the wait.

In the meantime, I was starving when I came in (didn't have time for an afternoon snack) and am starving now even though I've had a carrot and some crackers while waiting for the dinner to cook again.

Now I have to rush and set up my computer so I'm ready for the call at 7.

I just got the alarm to remind me I have a meeting in 40 minutes. I'm going to be late.

Here's just the dinnter
