In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
As we work today, say a little prayer for Harriet's ds and all the family as he undergoes surgery today. And drop into our virtual waiting room where we're serving fresh coffee and tea, yummy little non caloric pastries, and good company. And hopefully, good news and healing.

Re: In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
I'm so confused. This is another week that starts with a day that isn't Monday. We were away yesterday of course, and now today should be Monday.
We mostly took it easy yesterday after getting home. I napped a little - took Dramamine for ride home so I was sleepy. Dh had his car washed and got a couple of things he needed at Walmart. I'll go to Publix this morning.
I have a workout this afternoon at two. I hope I can get there - there's a chemical spill near there and dh couldn't get there early this morning for his workout. By two, perhaps they will be done? And I have body work this afternoon at 4:30. Hip has been mostly better, although hurting again the last couple of days.
I'm sipping my excellent coffee in our little waiting room and makin' a list:
-order deli meat online so I can pick up at Publix
-walk the dog
-a.m. routine
-grocery store
-check on workout place later to see if I can get there (secretly hoping the answer is no?)
A small success on this oh so confusing morning: I got the garbage out on time! I hear it running already!

Taking a seat in the SHE virtual waiting room. Twins - Thank you for setting it up and stocking it with virtual goodies.
Today is off to a smooth start...
** Trash is by the road to be picked up.
** DD12 has been delivered to public school
** DS15 is working on homeschool assignments.
There are 3 things on my priority for today
** 11:30 lunch at DFriends home with elderberry group
** Vote. I'm glad to see the end to the dirty campaigning leading up to this election. It will be interesting to observe if the person who spent the most money & effort telling lies about others will win.
** Gym - I have slid off the gym routine. It was easy to exercise when it was routinely part of my day. Now a massive decisive effort is needed to get me back on track.
Cooking -
** hard boiling 14 eggs. Peel and make deviled eggs.
** Roast trays of green beans, russet & sweet potatoes, peppers, and onions.

Re: In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
Good morning! I have to keep this short. Praying Harriet’s DS’s surgeon has skilled hands (and it sounds like he does).
Got 1-1/2 of the DPCs done (left a message for one); working on another now, which is turning into fighting with the internet rather than making a call. So today will be more of the same.
DH will be home late; tomorrow is the SAT, so he has to get rooms prepped tonight. He is not thrilled with the new furniture in some of the classrooms: they have replaced the desks with tables that can seat two ordinarily but can only seat one for testing. So capacity for each of those rooms is cut in half.
I need to help DD with the medical system’s website/app and drag DC out of bed, so here I go. Have a great day, everyone!

Re: In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
Morning …
I’ll be joining y’all in the waiting room as well. My sister to me has been diagnosed with negative 3 metastatic breast cancer… the most aggressive cancer there is… and today she’s going in for a pet scan to see if it’s spread. So I was going to be in a waiting room for her. I am totally scarred for her.
In the meantime I’ve finished getting the areas I was working on yesterday done. Still have three rooms that need a bit of attention but they can wait till this afternoon when I have finished my errands.
I was just about to take my shower when Sweetie asked if he could bring our neighbor in. Wanted to show him his stereo equipment. I scooted in to my bathroom but heard our neighbor say… I love coming into your home. It’s so uncluttered and neat and always feels peaceful.
All I could think of was it was a good thing he wasn’t over here yesterday
See y’all in the waiting room. Thankfully the chairs are rather comfy and the company is great. Thanks for all the goodies

Hi!
Thank you for the start today Twins' Mom!
It feels like I've been on the phone all morning. Boiler still needs a chimney, I left a message. Called dh's cardiologist, His appointment got moved from October to January! That's okay. I re-arranged the appointment for bloodwork. Also arranged bloodwork appointment for his regular doctor.
No idea what's for supper. Maybe salmon casserole.
It was raining earlier this morning. It's cold and windy here.

Re: In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
Looking in to see if there has been any news.
News here is that the dermatologist is busy, no emergency appointments, and the appointment I thought I had wasn't mine, it was DH's. So MY next appointment with her is first week of January. My GP didn't want to handle anything dermatological and sent me to this lady, same one DH has been going to. I'm upset that I'll have to find another and start all over with all the rigmarole a new doctor/patient is.

Re: In the Waiting Room with Harriet PWYC
lost one of the d kitties (almost 13 - young for us) yesterday. The sweet girl had a beautiful soul!
She will be missed but she is not in pain any more.
She had three days that were amazing - I should have known better as I have seen it before with animals and people.
mom- is always confused in the morning of what is going on. as soon as she is here then she is great - or I pick her up. At least she knows she is in Chicago now. Before she thought she was in Florida. She needs people around and needs purpose (like all of us) - in Florida she knows her home - it's been 4 years since she has been here - and she has dd Youngers dog there first thing when she wakes up. I Will pick her up at noon - I have to set my alarm for 6 so that I can get her early in the day! Actually I would love if my brother would set up a bed here and close off the rooms so that mom can sleep here when she is in town.
the difference is she knows she is confused when she calls me in the morning. Night time is not a problem - it's always when she wakes up. She is at her retirement village apartment which is stunning and big (but still smaller than her home in Florida which has 2 stories).
Today I will have to work from home as my home is falling apart. hopefully she and I will make split pea soup and apple and plum pie. I will make another soup for the freezer.
Today is also clean the bathrooms day.
I need to water today as well.
I will ask dd younger to help dig holes for me to put plants in the ground before the next freeze
