Afternoon Y’all…

Went to class this morning, came home and then got ready for my coffee gathering. Home again and getting ready to do Amazon returns and then to my produce store.

Laundered the sheets I repaired yesterday. They are now in the dryer. Off to finish my day… waving to y’all. Gotta beat the thunderstorms.

Congrates LadyM! Did you meet your dear hubby in high school?

Congratulations, LadyM and dh

The man took forever. Oh well.

I went on errands by myself, which was fine. Saved so many lives. (This is what we say around here when we have to be hyper-vigilant in the parking lots and tight traffic leading to parking lots.) One driver, frustrated by a line to get to a drive-through, pulled right out onto the road in front of me instead and tested my brakes. Sigh.

Went by the P.O., then to the grocery.

As I parked at grocery, I was thinking, wow someone has their radio turned up loud. As I got out of the car I recognized the dramatic tune from Shrek soundtrack, Hallelujah. Walking along I realized it was a busker musician with a little bucket in front of him on the ground. Never saw a busker playing a flute before. Stayed and listened a while, very impressed with the tone he was getting out of a handmade-looking flute. I've seen some like it at Ren Faires, but they don't sound like that. Gave him a little money and a PayDay candy bar (I keep these because they are mostly peanuts, in case I get hungry, and this one was newish). Who knows whether he went on to his Mercedes later or really had as little as he appeared to have. He gave me a surprising moment.

Strawberries were all chancy. The organic and the regular had the same slight dark spots starting that have bothered me this year. Sigh. And this was a nice grocery, not discount or anything. Sigh. But the raspberries were gorgeous. So, I bought some of those, too, to add to decoration, and will hope that these strawberries hold out until the cake is appreciated/eaten. The grands are well aware I might come up with extra fruits at any time.

Congrats to Lady and Lord M! Many happy years!

Yes, much dodging cars and careful driving Harriet. I did some of that myself yesterday. Payday bars are a good idea. Wish one could by mini bars.

Cathy, I need to also water plants today. This morning saw several peaches on the ground that had been stolen and partly consumed.

Healthy errands, Nancy, to be going to veggie stand.

CI Trash got dumped.
I only eat cooked veggies.
I feels good to be putting stuff back in the freezer again now.
I have grated and sliced & froze up half of the squashes.
Most of the dishes are washed up drying and counters have been spiffed.
Had lunch.

I carded up one of the 1 oz. packets of green three, added off - white with it card & blended it.
Spinning this wool fiber on a drop spindle is next. X
Knitting my 6 rows up-coming activity.

Trying to watch the movie based on JD Vance book it is hard to watch. Cannot watch but about 20 min at a time I am over half way done with it.
Not for the faint of heart for sure. Okay I got though it.

I was still in high school when we met, but he graduated from a different school. We met in a grocery store. He left a note on the car windshield asking me to come talk to him (he worked there).

I've been back and forth with editor of article this afternoon. Close to passing the first bar, which is her comments/edits. Phone call, an hour and 15 minutes, and emails.

I took a much needed nap too. Thanks for hugs.
