Goooooood morning, village of sidetrackably interesting people!

The HVAC guy is finally here this morning. The company is text-crazy, with even dd44 getting a long-automated text early-early this morning telling HER that WE were going to get a tune up visit today, full name of person, his life history, his pets, sports he plays, things he likes to talk about, and on and on. I don't think it woke her, but nearly. We will try... again ... to explain to their office what those who actually come here can see. They are two different houses at a distance from each other. Their household doesn't care and doesn't want to be informed what the company does at this one, and vice versa.

I've made a grocery list and hope HRH will head out with me on errands after the guy is finished tuning us up. Trying to dodge thunderstorm predictions.

Hi Harriet, glad A/c guy will be there, even if they're overly chatty. Supposed to be cooler here with scattered t-storms. Maybe a more normal pattern, I read we're 6 or so inches of rain below normal for the year.

I'm feeling achy today but not as bad as yesterday, thankfully. I walked ddog two laps and dog gone it, she had to chase a cat this morning. Kitty was looking out of drain on other side of street and I let leash go to let Millie go over and sniff and the cat came out and up a nearby tree. There was much much excitement from Millie and pulling at me and my poor back and arms. But we walked by a second time calmly and she sniffed around, satisfied.

I am tired today. The house was ready for the cleaning lady when she got here, dog is walked, and I'm having a disgusting Keto bar for "first breakfast."

Looooooong day yesterday. I was there at one p.m. - and dcousin was close to thirty min late. I thought that really all we had to do was finalize and pay but I was wrong. The guy had to do the "show and tell" with all the options that we were choosing and arrangements for cremation, death certificate and contract and payment, which I took care of. I was famished by the time we were finishing but they offered a bagel and cream cheese for a snack. Dcousin and I went to the adjoining cemetery to say hi to daunt and duncle then headed on to the church. I stopped on the way for chicken fingers at a Sonic, needed protein. (BTW, they are terrible!) Hung out a bit then dressed for receiving beginning at five. Dcousin wanted me to "receive" with him - we were the only family - so I was on my feet for the hour. Service was very nice, I hung out a little after, then gathered my things and headed home. Had to stop and gas the car and eat a real meal, in the car, and was home at 9:30. Dcousin is to reimburse me when he has death certificate and access to A's accounts.

Exhausting.

(((Twins))) What an exhausting and emotional day you had yesterday. ((((Gentle Hug))))

We are celebrating our 51st Anniversary today. We have had our ups and downs over the years, but our marriage has remained strong through it all. We are fierce defenders of each other and always have each other's backs. Getting married as teenagers isn't recommended by most, but it worked for us. I am thankful.

I cooked a hearty breakfast this morning. Fried potatoes, onions, peppers, hot links also made scrambled eggs. Mmmmhhh....good.

DS15 was out the door to work around 6:30am. I didn't have his lunch packed and ready. oops.

I did an errands no yd. sales.
Went to the veg. stand drove the other rig enough to charge up the battery.
Got yellow crook neck squash & zucchini some smaller ones to slice and fry, others bigger
to grate for zucchini browns, in other things I want need for recipes.
Did not do other errands will do it later no hurry on it.
Hydrating now.

Hi!

I've watered the inside plants. I've also unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher and washed a couple of pots.

The guy who rents the field behind us was out there at 10 p.m. cutting it all down again. Lots of sunshine and rain equals great growing conditions. Ontario peaches are already out and corn is starting to be available.

Pork chops for supper tonight and dh gets a zucchini.

This sat here for awhile. Dh needed some help doing something outside.

Teen trip #2 of the day has been accomplished. I assembled, gathered, and took lunch to DS15 and a coworker. They are doing physically demanding tasks in the middle of a pasture miles from town.

I am doing an experiment that I have no idea how I want to finish. Starting without an end plan is not the best idea. I bought a 3lb container of ground chicken yesterday. However, I don't know what to do with it. When I saw it in the store my thought was that chicken is a great protein source. Ground chicken would be easy to add to a variety of meals to boost protein. But that is all the thought I gave the purchase. Now that I have it home, I am sorta clueless. I decided to brown the ground chicken so at least it isn't raw. I'm waiting for inspiration to decide what to do with this ground chicken next.

Bathtub/shower replacement project.....We have contacted two contractors without success. They say they will call but our phone isn't ringing.

Had bfast. Ddoggo came in for a taste & then went back outside.
Got some zucchini chopped and ready for meals later today.

Next Finish spinning up the blue fiber I carded up yesterday. x

Happy anniversary, Lord and LadyM!
We halfway married as teenagers. I was 18, but dh was 28. I have often told people, the Lord looks out for fools and children, and we had one of each at our wedding. DH knew I was always joking.
Of course, y’all know, my parents married when she was two months shy of 16 and my dad was 21. They definitely had some rough times but they were married 54 years.


Well, I’ve had my breakfast and done my morning stretches… smoothed out the bed …
I HAVE TO get in the shower. I am going to a funeral and visitation, a man who has been a lifelong friend, worked with youth group when I was growing up. I’m friends with all his family— children, nieces and nephews, in-laws. It’s a sad time, and I don’t know exactly what happened, but I believe he was 86 years old.
But I have “lollygagged”for an hour. I’ve got to get moving.
