The worst of the storm is to the east of us, Harriet, just rain, a little wind still. Just looked online and there are about 3000 households without power, but the number is rising.
Dh took the ddog out for a walk in the rain, she needed to do her "business" and she did just that.
The brisket is in the oven, I'm finding I need to adjust to dh helping but it's okay. Perhaps we can keep doing this if he's going to be around helping next year.
I'm making a grocery list for him, found that I either didn't put sweet potatoes on the Instacart list or the gal didn't get them. I also forgot about a couple of other things. Like I said, trying to keep him busy. I need to backtrack and finish a.m. routine, lol. I also got the roomba running and I'm monitoring it.

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
Well I’m in clean up mode… we had no damage and the sun is shining at the moment. However there are more thunder showers in the future.
My friend in Aiken, SC is without power and many pine trees in her area are down. She doesn’t have cell phone service, but can receive messages.
Twins.. wish I could hand Sweetie a to-do list but right now we are on Sweetie Time. There is plenty to do around here and I am anxious to work on my lanai. However of all the rings that need to be done around here to get us back to normal, he decided to sweep the driveway, pick up small twigs and straighten up the flower beds.
I just decided this is my life now. Finally he is closing our shutters so it’s not like a cave in here. In the meantime I have cut the rug pad in my master bedroom to fit my rug, cleaned and put out as much things as I could in the lania. Picked up all my footprint and am finishing up my laundry.
Now it’s lunch time and I’m hungry. Need to figure out something to eat. Waving to y’all

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
I accidentally (me closing off my screen) lost a post.
d harriet and d all I am thinking of all of you - praying the electricity stays on and that everyone (including farm animals and other animals) are safe from the flooding.
d harriet - my own dh still gives me the heebie-jeebies.(I say bejeebies) when he takes chances.
hi d twins! If you are making a list for your dh - I will do the same for my dh - expect my dh will totally ignore my list

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
not having my "guy" that I hire once in awhile has been a challenge for me regarding getting big heavy projects done.
I found him choosing jobs he wanted to do that were very easy and I was getting frustrated.
I will get a price from the lawn company for further big heavy projects.
I finally have a break in the weather and I plan on working outside.
I have a feeling there are multiple mosquitos with my name on them. I feel like they are getting Jumanji size
alrighty I am exaggerating just a bit
dh has. been so happy since he apologized - I am taking it and running with it. What a difference it has been in our home.
----------
dishes are washing themselves in the dw.
folded a load of laundry and put it away
waiting for the jeans to dry done
made tomato soup for lunch
grilled cheese
time to empty and refill dw

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
Got dressed
Walked ddoggo & got two books on my way back from yard sale on the corner.
Was going to think about the desk they had but it was gone so that is sort of a relief!
One book was one of quotes and the other was on writing and 2017 so glad it's newer.
Watered In front and filled bird bath.
Broke down the branch in the back yard.
Looked at comments and a book I was going to get had a miss print and the words did not
all get on the page so decided not to get it!
Mixed up the chicken salad sandwich filling for my lunch in a few minutes.
Blessed Not having a guy I have learned what I CAN DO!
I started painting on the side table and have 2 coats on it it needs more.
3rd coat is on it's drying now. Now I can physical evidence that I actually did some thing today!
Watered beds in back.
New pj's are dry and out of the dryer. I got my steps in today.
I raked up some small branches slightly bigger than twigs out front.
Did a section on the hot pad I'm working on.
Had dinner.
I have a couple of pans in the sink for next up task.

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
We had a bit of a break in the rain but it's starting up again. Even saw the sun peeking through a tiny bit.
Zoom meeting was good, I'll enjoy working with this woman. We'll meet every other week.
I need to go downstairs and check on the brisket, it sure does smell good!

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
I have one pan soaking
dishes emptied and then filled from soup pots etc.
dh - I had just finished except for one cup that was mine, one knife that was his and he brought over his dirty plate to the sink. I asked if he could wash it - oh he did - he took out the dishes wash bin (he doesn't like the bin) with the knife and cup - put it on the side - and washed his one plate and only the one plate. He than very proudly walked away.
I am going to put my toesies up to rest - for a bit.
I spoke to mom and got her lunch so that I could feed her at a normal time.
I don't think she will like our dinner but I need to use up some things.
I have a cricket in the basement. poor thing - I will try to find it later and put it outside again. I have no idea how it got there.
it stops cricketing every time I open the basement door.
waving to you all.

Re: Facilitate Friday PWYC
Dstepson got home for the weekend, although I don't know if he should have tried the trip. He was worried. He's been over here and tugged some limbs in more convenient directions, brought us some peaches. He took photos at dd44's, where the one "tree" turns out to be two and will be taking a lot of work to handle.
Hopefully, ds is sound asleep.
HRH asked him if he thought deliveries could/would be made here and he said as long as it was done during the afternoon break between warnings, so HRH ordered some different supper. My appetite does not justify it, but he is antsy for almost anything different to happen. Men get so nervous or something whenever they are told they "can't" get out, even if they didn't even want to go before.
Phone keep making big announcements from weather service, directing to shelters, warning about other dams far away having to finally let go of their waters and what it will mean for communities that hadn't even thought of those dams. So grateful our power came back as others were not so lucky. Must stay at home until morning. I suppose many are grateful that tomorrow is Saturday.
Friend Steve is alone because his son had gone on a trip. He's called HRH several times today. I'm glad HRH can be on alert for those calls because it is purposeful.
