I am not as tired as I was
mom and I just got home.
post office done - bills and b day cards mailed (all but 1- needs a bit of cash)
dd's met their cousins at the Japanese grocery store.

bought a cute outfit for gr nephew (his mom wanted cloths for him - she is such a great mom... so loving)
stopped at Wall green (s) for mom's meds - but dr. has to approve them. We have to find another dr. for her.

I will set up an appointment for later in the day for her (for when she gets back to Florida) - they will only give her a 8 am appointment - geesh - there is no way to get her up and out by 8 am. They will give me a hard time.

mom said no to church which is ok.

what's the next right thing:

I picked up a pizza for mom - Pizza from Lou malnati's was free bc of points

what still needs doing: I am tired and my cold is yelling at me.
feed dogs done
lol now I am sooooo tired. so much for having energy

2. clean utensils done

sunday: make soup for dinner for during the week.

Monday: call pond guy
pick up manure for raised bed/garlic

start shutting down garden
plant garlic for next year
clean garage
go through the freezer - figure out what else is needed for winter.

I have napped,
Deboned cooked chicken legs & thighs.
Boiling eggs now. They are done and I got them peeled,
Spiffed counters.
Made dog treats.
Dishes are done.

I am SO excited I went back in my butterfly room and looked again for my Sewing Planner...
So glad I did I found it wa-hoot! I am going to be using it to track my projects this fall.
Sewing and yarn projects. I'm glad I did not give up looking for it.

Dragged myself out to the store and got my meds (the ones insurance refuses to cover despite the fact this is the second half a prescription for which they covered the first half.) Also picked up some groceries and remembered to take the soda stream cannister back for my deposit.

Got home, had frozen pizza leftovers for dinner and fixed wind-chimes of dh's (no idea where he got it but it has always been precious to him and lately it has started falling apart.) The chimes have always hung in his office so I'll hang them back up now.

Before heading out, I cleaned out the second cupboard. In the "woo-hoo" category, some 14" square bins I got at the stuff swap and we used up at the cottage fit perfectly underneath so I was able to move one of dh's woodworking projects off the counter over the cupboard and into the cupboard. The second project is now in a box on the counter but with one of the finished games on top. The area looks so much neater now, both in the cupboards and on top of the counter. Unfortunately, I haven't collapsed all the empty boxes I took out of the second cupboard so the floor is a mess.

I'll give that a solid hour to clean up along with the kitchen and then head to bed.

hi d Nancy - yay on having a nap, deboning chicken, boiling eggs, spiffing counters and making dog treats.

I'm so glad you got to visit with WonderBoy, Harriet! And shaking my head at the troubles with the truck/valet troubles... what a day!

Also shaking my head with insurance problems and medicine/doctor frustrations, blessed's dmom and Kathryn. Insurance is a constant problem it seems -- if it's not one company causing trouble, it's another. Just this week, the largest hospital organization in the Northern part of our state (they own half the smaller hospitals) announced that they were discontinuing their acceptance of United Healthcare. Well, that just happens to be the provider for state employees and teachers who are on Medicare! Then they announced that it would NOT affect those two groups. Well, that's weird, isn't it -- "I'll take your United Healthcare card, but not that person behind you." I don't know what's going on. This would have been very upsetting if dh were still alive, but now I can just sit back and watch the "show." For two more years, anyway. Teachers who are not on Medicare still have BCBS, which I much prefer, and I hope by the time I turn 65, maybe they will just get us all on BCBS.

On that same subject, our local hospital, which is MANAGED by the Big City hospital, but NOT OWNED by them, announced that they would not stop taking United.
OTOH, the rumors have reached social media, and are all too true, that our local hospital may be closed. We are county owned, and apparently there is a big lack of funding. People are very upset. If our hospital closes, there will be no hospital/no 24 hour service anywhere in our county. The nearest hospital will be approx 20-25 miles away.
DDIL says she knows she can find another job, but she sure would hate to have to leave our little hospital. She is really happy there, and her stress level is so much less, compared to the bigger hospital she used to work at.

Nancy, I had to have a nap too. It was very late when I went to sleep, and dgd had me up in less than 8 hours, so I was glad to take a long nap this afternoon.
I took dgd to the other grandmother after we ate breakfast, so it's just been DGS and me since around noon. We've watched football all day, happy that our team had an off day. We were almost happy with South Carolina, which almost beat the Other Team in our state... but nah... they managed to win.
Both dgrands are under the weather -- dgd is on an antibiotic, cough medicine, and eye drops, and dgs, who had no medicine except OTC cough med, has had a spell of diarrhea and throwing up since we ate supper. He seems to be feeling better now, but I don't know if any of us will make it church tomorrow.

I know I am missing some personal hello's that I should be making -- bsweet!
Twins! I hope your day is blessed and your fast is easy.

I have not s2s or anything today. DGS certainly seems to be feeling better, and I do plan to take a shower before bed and wash my hair. Whether I go to church or not, it's a day past "wash hair" day.
Next week starts out busy, too --
Both dgrands will be here tomorrow/tomorrow night, but I will have to take them home early --
Monday -- b/c I will need to go to a funeral visitation for a lady in my SS class whose father passed away... and
Monday night is dgs' last ballgame of the season.
Tuesday -- teacher group, and if dgrands have improved with the coughing, I will take them with me -- we are going to a sheep farm to see baby sheep, and dgrands are out of school for fall break
Tuesday night I better get some sleep because
Wednesday is GriefShare and Wed. night church/class...
and Thursday... maybe I have NOTHING to do.
