What projects do you have this Sat.
I had a weird dream and am up in the night again sigh but the good news is that I was able to prep. a hem for a
table cloth project on my list so that is great. I'm up to my 4 limit CEO suggest so I can seam up a simple bag and hem 2 pr. of pj's and this table cloth. Hopefully rather quickly. I am considering hand hemming one pair of pj pants. The other pr. I need threat for I think. So I'll be looking for thread on my next trip to town.
I had bfast of sorts this morning.
Hoping you all have a successful Sat. and some fun along the way in your day.

Re: Sat. Projects
Good morning. My first project is going out with HRH to fetch the truck back from the shop. It's worked out pretty well to start this on a Thursday and just let them do both vehicles. Will have to remember.
We haven't heard of anyone wanting to visit today but sometimes the kids just show up, and we haven't seen some of them in a week or more.
If I do have some time alone, I'd like to get to some sewing projects too.
Have fun with yours, Nancy.

Re: Sat. Projects
Thanks Harriet!
I have hemmed a table cloth successfully and SO glad the machine has gotten the glitches out hopefully.
Got a yt of it for tomorrow.
Worked some on my Sewing planner at least hunted one similar up to it Miss Maker is what it's called.
I will keep looking but was happy to have pages for next year to put inside.
Yarn projects Knitting & crocheting are on going.
Did a section on crochet hot pad.
Deciding if I"ll hand hem pj's or not.
I still need to cut off and remark and press them.
One other pants to redo waist band.
Upcycle projects have been rounded up and relocated in to the sewing zone.
Got dressed.
WAlked.
Fetched & processed mail.
Wishing all who follow great success with your day!

Re: Sat. Projects
Good morning, Nancyand Harriet!
It's rather chilly here this morning - just a bit under freezing. It's sunny, though, and I'm hoping to get a bit of weeding done later this afternoon when it should warm up to about 12C (55F). That's about average temperature here for this time of year. Tomorrow, it's supposed to get up to about 20C (68F).
It should be a fairly busy day here today - it's the second day of my vacation! Yesterday, I slept in, did some shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, and binge watched some Midsomer Murders.
I need to run into the next town over today to get some more yarn for dMum's Christmas present - she asked for a lap blanket, and to the dollar store to pick up some plastic drinking glasses for dMum. She prefers them to the glasses the facility uses
That's all the errands I can think of at the moment.
In the meantime, I need to get some things done:
- feed ddoggos
- wash another load of dishes
- swish and swipe bathroom
- change Scentsy warmers
- put/throw away 10 things on the dining room table

Re: Sat. Projects
My Saturday project is Yom Kippur. Was at temple earlier for 10-12 service and came home to make kugel for break the fast. I'm fasting, so far. I usually have to taste a noodle to be sure it's done so that's my exception, unless I'm feeling rough. Dh was going out for lunch with friends from temple - he is diabetic so isn't fasting and at least one of that group is also.
He went to the grocery to get egg noodles earlier but bought a pasta that isn't EGG noodles, which I think are essential to the recipe. So I picked them up on the way home and they're cooking now. The mixer is mixing eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla (+ a little salt). So things are underway here.
Millie is outside sunning herself. It's a perfect day, but was cool inside sanctuary this a.m. I wore a skirt and top and was cold!

Re: Sat. Projects
My day took a 'good' turn in that dgs3 is sick so his parents cancelled their trip to Toronto and kept him home. Which means I came back from the cottage for 'nothing'.
I dropped off stuff in the other building and have done precious little the rest of the day.
My project is to find homes for all the stuff that was in the desk I gave to DC. One drawer's contents have now been rehomed. I cleaned out one of the two cupboards in the office built-in and rearranged things so all the power bars, light timers, and extension cords are in one place and organized.
I have identified some stuff to get rid of in there and am not sure if I should just take it away to electronic recycling or consult with dh first. There's the non-functioning Bose radio (it was battery operated and stopped recharging) and a dead shower radio (that's a no-brainer to get rid of.)
There were only 4 empty boxes in this side; I've repurposed one for the power bars and kept the other 3 to keep dh happy. Partly because 2 are for his travel monitors and I'm waiting to see if he stores the monitors in them when not traveling.
I started in on the second cupboard, hoping to make room for all his wood working projects, but stopped to eat and then got distracted. Off to work on that for 50 minutes and then heading to the store.
To my surprise there are three working radios in there, including our emergency solar/crank/battery one. I thought it didn't work and bought a new one for the emergency kit.

Re: Sat. Projects
well hello
A little bit of a struggle bus this morning. dd older picked up d mom and bought her breakfast and gave her meds
Mom has been a little more old mom
. dd younger wasn't happy with her and how she talks to me at times - it was a nice try. dd decided to to a dog group during the day.
dd older wanted to tell dd younger what to do
that never works well.
at least my mom has fun with local relative last night. Relative moved back to our area. They really enjoyed each other.
(and I didn't have to give meds last night)
oh my - she is feisty right now
hello again.
time to set up mom's pills. - I will say hello individually soon

Re: Sat. Projects
bittersweet and Nancy getting to be all creative and my day is automotive. Pout.
bittersweet, do tell about the pattern you choose and the colors in A, C and N thread.

The silly dealership got a new computer system a couple months ago and all the contact information for their customers reverted to an old default, losing current info.
So even though HRH had made sure they had the correct info yesterday, and in fact we had a flawless valet drop-off and pick-up then, we had a flurry of miscommunication about getting the truck back this a.m. First, I didn't even WANT anyone bringing the truck back by valet today - how would they get back to work? Second, they didn't call the house but called a default of cell phone, which I did not have ringing early in the a.m. and they texted, then, at 10:20 saying the valet would arrive here at 10:20. What? But he didn't. In fact, it was much later when he arrived at a completely different address, with numerals transposing two of the digits in ours. And on and on into miscommunication, finally getting the valet into our drive by having to go outside and look up and down for the truck and visually directing.
We ended up actually driving the valet (
) back to work. From there, because of an oddity of traffic today, we had to turn differently and head away from our usual stomping grounds, so we stopped into a restaurant we haven't been to in a while. I just stayed in the car while HRH went in and got takeout for us.
(one encouraging note - I was able to identify our truck a quarter mile away. Frankly, I wouldn't have been sure my eyes could do that if someone had asked me.)
Dd44's family came later with the added surprise she had been keeping from us - DangerBoy is home for the weekend. They were on their way to a fall event nearby, but stayed to visit a while. They'd spent the morning getting soccer umpiring and library volunteering out of the way for the middle boys.
I gave her my Halloween season gift - a cozy-mystery paperback book, first in a series that just came out last week, ghost-themed. She likes to read one of these every once in a while, to take a break from long novels. I'd been looking for one to give her, but was disappointed to find so many are in series of 20 or 30 and the new releases just don't seem special when they already have a far-into-the-series number. This way, if the series turns out to be a dud, there's no way I could have known it, it's the first one, so not my fault.

Re: Sat. Projects
So happy to hear of all your adventures.
Finished watering the front yd.
I watered in back the beds after I had some taco soup.
turns out 3/4 of the peanut butter jar is just enough for me to have two servings of it.
That's about enough of any one thing two days in a row so helpful to know that.
I did some writing.
The planner for making stuff like sewing / yarn was a great thing to get going before Nov.
I did a section of knitting.
LM thinking of you.

Re: Sat. Projects
more laundry flip flopped I feel like I should be doing cart wheels - lol that would be fun to watch
mom is watching tv for the last 20 minutes - I will turn it off after this murder she wrote is over with. she is not drinking her water so I marked the bottle so that she knows she has to drink so much water.
it's been an interesting day -
dh is somewhere - he is happy doing what ever it is
I finished bills/cards
found my new medicare card!
emptied the dw
mom rinsed some dishes and put it in the dw -
she loves tag free everything - she took my new towels and cut off all the tags - she is very happy with that.
worked on 2 weeks of mom's meds.
dd's texted me that they are meeting their cousins tonight
spoke to dh's d cousin - they are safe - one house needs a new roof but otherwise they are okay!
next:
prayer of calmness and to be light hearted. Accept that I am trying!
what I should do - check the fish that I bought. hoping it is still fresh. fingers crossed
put water on in a different area in garden and leave on for an hour.

go the k oh les for a toddler present.
go to post office and drop off mail
