I have done a tiny bit today of cleaning after some journal prompts I got down.
Got dressed to shoes.
I stirred the soup & tweaked it a bit.
Cleaned the first pot and put it in the small crock pot.

Had some breakfast.
Did up the dishes and cleaned the sinks & swept the dining room.
The frost has finally melted.
Fed the ddoggo her lunch.
Thankful for sunshine...

I have seen her depressed and this seems different. I do think the dementia and sleep mess with her. Yesterday she fell asleep while watching a show and woke up asking where the big basket of fruit went. There wasn't any. My grandmother (dad's mom) had Alzheimers; she used to have dreams and thought they were real. I believe mom has blood sugar issues if she doesn't eat bc she forgets if I dont' feed her. She easily has dehydration when she doesn't drink water - she forgets all the time when she is alone- I think her not drinking water in the night time adds to the problems with sugars and dehydration.

It's getting toward the end of the month, and I finally just decided to go ahead and post a disappointment post in Nov. Decluttered Home. Plans I needed to push through are fallen by the wayside and now it's literally the holidays, which is the season I have been aiming for. I usually like to at least post progress, and of course I would love to post happy, happy success, but nope. We are in a bottleneck that won't give.

Nancy, I think I need a time-out, too. I need to pout in a corner for a while, lol. Your soup smells delicious.

blessed, thank goodness your dmother didn't have a problem that needed attention while you are with dd. Gentle hugs to your family, especially your ddyounger. I can't imagine that you are still trying to make sure the supper menu is right even when you are in ER - you don't have to be perfect, okay? please be willing to let some things go.

Taking a much needed break.

Blessed… I’m so sorry your dd is in pain. I hope the X-ray will shed some light on what’s causing it.

After i did my mornin routines I took Sweetie to Kohls for an Amazon return. While there I found a hat for me. I must have gotten rid of all my winter hats when I moved here. Figured I would at least save one.. nope. How’s er I do have gloves for both Sweetie and me.

I also found a pair of half boots for the trip. My old faithfuls have bit the dust after 25 years. Bought them K-mart years ago while I was teaching. I sure miss that store. Their jeans were a perfect fit for me and the same with their shoes… not sneakers. I have weird feet with wide tow beds and toes that turn up and I always counted on finding shoes there. That’s where my 25+ year old boots came from.

I can’t believe it but I have Sweeties suitcase packed with room to spare… even have an umbrella in it. And by some miracle so is mine! I have a smaller bag that fits under the seat in front of me and even that is only half filled. Don’t know how that happened but I’m not complaining.

My house is a mess with packing bags and things scattered around. I ended up not using my packing cubs because I had more round when I rolled things.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather hold up till after we fly on Tue. We have an early 7:00 am flight so I hope that helps.

I’m not even thinking about Cmas yet. I try to make this time of the year as I stressful as possible. Never been a big seasonal decorator so that helps.

DH and I went to the early church service this morning. It is a traditional service that tends to attract a higher percentage of older attendees. I like both services (traditional and contemporary). The biggest difference is the music.

DS16 made the 39 mile drive to attend church with a girl and her family. That church eats lunch together every Sunday after service so there was plenty of casual interviewing of DS16 happening by the parents & church members. DS16 must have passed as acceptable because her parents approved the two teenagers going by themself to the city this afternoon.

DD13 is staying with DD48 this weekend. Life360 shows DD13 phone went directly to DD48 home and hasn't left.

I made baked potatoes with multiple toppings for lunch. I ate half of a small potatoe with some beef and cheese toppings. It tasted so good and I am completely full.

I have made several trips to the garden this afternoon. The sunshine feels w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. I am working on a difficult corner of raised bed design. That raised bed is a half moon shape and I am not pleased with the looks where the bricks go from curved to straight. I suspect no one else will notice it but I am fixating on making it look better. Hopefully I will soon consider it as good as it will get and then move on to the next spot.

I did not get to the show I was going to watch on Net - flkx.
I got the front raked under the tree leaves every where,
Worked on a dish cloth after my knitting show I did learn something and multiple reminders
helped I almost forgot. dd called & texted. Finished the dish cloth.

She needs the hand mixer for the dish she is working on for Turkey day.
Dgd will get it I told her she could keep the hand mixer bc I never use it anyway.
She was delighted.

NIce walk with ddoggo after the rest & show went out and did even more leaves in the
back yard. Had to charge up my phone.

Bw2 our home looks so much like the one you used to have in the country only no garage just a carport, and a composition roof, and a basement.

Dinner is in the oven.
Glad I spiffed up the bathroom after cleaning it yesterday.
So it does feel like I did do some thing this weekend.

I turned on my holiday lites to brighten it up looked great when I came back in from the last leaf duty.
Got the tree up and lites on it today as well. It is small one.

Feeling more accomplished than 24 hours ago. I got NOTHING done yesterday. Today I got all the stuff listed for yesterday finished AND I have very few things left in the sink to wash. A lid of a large pot and a couple of sets of tongs. All dirty dishes are in the dishwasher already and the bed sheet is in the dryer. I didn't want to disturb the cats. LOL!

Oh Cathy, I know about disturbing animals sleeping on our beds!

The recital was lovely - I was expecting it to be piano and she is a vocal education major so she was singing. A little reception afterward. We came on home and dh headed on to bowling.

I got a couple of cards made while talking to dd tonight. Her anxiety is full speed ahead right now.

I loved that house d Nancy! I loved the land more! I loved the quiet!!! I miss that. The stars used to be amazing and we could always see the northern lights at different times of the year.

I love being near family and was extremely grateful to be with d mom in law and d father in law and all the brother and sisters families and their kiddos again. - dh loves it here - I like the house and being near the marsh but the noise is too much for me still. dh doesn't notice the noise but again he grew up near a train track. I love the back garden but would love to have more land around me - my neighbors in the Wisconsin house were a mile plus away. I used to go down town in Chicago a lot but it doesn't draw me there anymore since crime has gone up.

I figure we will have to move as dh can't work on things any more and I know that some time in the nearer future- it will be too much for me. I can feel it coming. I do worry about a time when I can't drive any more. Lots to think about. what ever the next bend will be I will find happiness and new adventures fingers crossed!
