I have raked the front yard leaves are tucked in under the tip out on the front of the house hoping they dry.
I have left them there till spring some years. Might be my next bed to plant.Glad is was not raining when I did that.
It was not too cold I enjoyed the fresh air and it was a destressor for me.
Also glad there was no Christmas music on at the store this morning.

Music time now I usually do it early in the day.
Walk later on at dusk to see if any in the neighborhood have Cmas lites on yet.
Saw a neighbor at the store she was excited to not be doing health care this year and getting to cook for her family!
Saw three vets standing in the main isle chatting away today.
Did my planning / journal page.

Waving to all thinking of your prayer req. in J&C in my day.

I just got home 3:15 - mom was confused this morning - but happy - she had her house phone off the hook for a long time and the cameras went down. I knew I was going there at 11 am - she figured out her phone was off the hook and it took awhile for her to figure out what to do but she did it!!! The fact she found the connection on how to fix it (even though a couple hours) that she did it!!! She won't remember the next time but at least we could celebrate today. she also figured out her meds an hour later while I was there - both great things.

her house was spotless again

cousin, mom and I had a very nice time for lunch. I had to stop mom from wanting to yodel for a group of women and had to pull her gently away from a family behind us - it was cute - she wanted to tell the nice family that she was 87 and that she needs to put her coat on bc as you get older you get colder; even in restaurants. she did a quieter yodel for us! We shared stories.

took mom on a grocery errand for dd younger and bought mom some things as well, stopped by Michael's but didn't find what I was looking for. Bought ribbon that I think I will bring back but it is beautiful to me. I had planned on going to the garden shop to get mom a poinsettia but I needed to work at the house.

I found mom's cell phone!!!

time to do a put away - can someone send a crew to help me. 8-) :D

That sounds like a good crew for you, blessed (music help for put-away).

The friend was someone to have to put up with, really. Contentious. Today I was in less of a mood for it in my own home, so I just took every bait and sent more his way, agreeably speaking right over him if he insisted, lol. He is used to having women in his life who are from countries where women are quiet and have no opinions, no confidence in speaking ... .. bless his heart.

It's been a day of making priorities. Dd44 has been on the phone with me, calendaring, reminding me why some things I didn't think were priorities need to become that. Someone in some office has gotten appts mixed up as they created them, so I must make phone calls in the morning to straighten that out. Dd44 will not be in town when my calendar suddenly swells, so I will be talking to dd26 this evening to see if she can step in to some roles.

Nancy, good for you on steps. I noted that yesterday HRH and I had 3,000 steps in one concrete-floored building alone. Not good for his hip. He does better on almost any other surface.

ah yes "Bless his heart"!!!
oh my gosh d harriet that made me laugh!
enjoy speaking to your dd 26! hope the calendar all works out!

hi d Nancy! I will avoid my kitchen if you avoid yours! working outside sounds perfect! how cool about where the White House tree came from - I didn't know it would come all the way from Alaska!

I heard a crunch crunch crunch - dd's dog was able to open the un - openable dog food container! I thought it was dh in the laundry room.
mom is fed - nothing fancy - fresh French bread, light ham/swiss dijon sandwiches, cut carrots, left over potato salad I made yesterday.

time to feed the other dogs and lightly feed dd 's dog. she has been in pain all day and is in bed.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Update : I was wrong finished watching that vid. and the tree was from the S. Calorinia where ever the storm hit so bad.

Yep still avoiding kit.
I did get the bed made before dinner.
I washed the new to me card file.

-----
Walked to both corners of saw two places with lites, one was not lite up.
Flash lite gave up on the 2nd part so I replaced batteries in there of those and one other
was new and good so I'm good to go on walks again now. Yea!
Flash lites are great stocking stuffers for any age over the age of say three I think.

-----
I did ten min on the kitchen and it really helped and made a difference yea!
Read LucyL's posts so glad she found her lost item!

I FOUND MY CALENDAR!!! (The purse calendar, I think I told y'all it was lost and I was so upset.
Y'all will never guess where I found it -- the closet of my laundry room. :? :?: I have no idea whatsoever how it got in there.
I was in there today, looking for a half inch dowel, which I did not find -- and suddenly I realized I was looking down at my calendar. I am so relieved.
(I need the dowel to adjust the solar light that helps when I come in the carport after dark. It sits in the ground near my patio and back steps. Replacing this will definitely be easier than reconstructing 11 months of a calendar!)

I immediately wrote my name and phone number in the front, as DS had advised. LOL... DGS said, "But it won't help, because it was IN YOUR HOUSE!!!"
I do feel sorta silly, having called two places in Next Town looking for it when it was less than 10 feet away as I was talking...

I am hosting Thanksgiving, and I have not done anything useful in preparation for it. I plan for tomorrow to be an extremely productive day.
I am enjoying dgrands... they want to spend every night with me, and they are alternating nights. DGS is here tonight. I wouldn't mind a little more alone time, but I know the days are rapidly approaching when they will be too busy for their Nana.

JOY -- Dcousin has found Duncle a place in memory care that will provide physical therapy and much encouragement of interaction with others, about 30-45 minutes away from me (and her) but more like 20 minutes from her brothers and her mom, duncle's sister. She was able to move his bed and recliner and tv over there with him, and sent me a video tonight showing him and her mom sitting there in the room. He looked fine, content, and (apparently) he thinks he made the decision to try this! I told Dcousin, she is an ANGEL. I don't know how she managed this, but it certainly sounds like a miracle. She said the nurse she talked with told her not to act like this was a "nursing home" and he would never leave -- the nurse said "We never know, he could improve and be able to go home again." We all know that is very unlikely, but it is such a relief to have him satisfied to be in a place where he can get additional physical therapy and be around people. For the last 8 months, in the words of dcousin's husband, "He has just been sitting in his chair, waiting to die." I asked if he had the money to afford this place, and she said, yes, he did, and if it took everything he had, well, that was just fine. She and I agree, he has no children so all his assets would be divided either between his sister, his brother-in-law, and I guess my family, his brother's family. After those three siblings, he and daunt had 8 nieces and nephews, so realistically thinking, none of us were expecting a windfall from a rich uncle, you know? We would all prefer he be cared for than for us to get our 1/8 share of whatever he has left when he dies. I just hope he will remain content and maybe, dreaming big here, maybe make some friends here.

Dmom is on her 2nd day with new transdermal pain patch. She said she thinks it IS helping with pain, but it is making her nauseous. I am hoping that her body will adjust and she won't be nauseated forever with this. She has about passed her limit of options for pain relief.
Dbro & his wife should be here by now for Thanksgiving, and they are planning to leave on Friday. He is truly not much help at all. He talks a good game, and I always feel better after talking to him, but when it comes right down to it, I'm pretty much on my own here. I just hope he realizes that dmom IS getting older and could use a little more time with him.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I saying special prayers for those of you who have mentioned particular needs and are dealing with health concerns and family concerns. We could probably all use a (((Group Hug))).

:?: ~~~ Weird question ~~~
Do any of you ever see these HORRIBLE pictures on FB of skin issues that say they are "sign of Chron's disease"? I mean, these pictures almost make me gag before I can scroll past -- they will look like huge whelps of something, or even resemble WORMS covering a person's back, or hairy bulging cysts... I mean they are HORRIBLE and disgusting -- and my mother has had Chron's and I have never, ever heard of her having any skin issues like this.
WHY do they put these things on and say they are symptoms of a disease that I am pretty sure they are NOT, and it is just revolting to even look at?
Tomorrow is another day.
