((RR)) I'm so very sorry that Sweetie is progressing visibly. I hope the medication change will help.
More ta das but I'm floundering....
-dog walked two laps in "feels like" 25 degrees
-talked (mostly listened to her vent) to dd for over 30 min about work issues
-pulled out pine cones and natural materials to replace dreidels and hanukkah decor (some of that done while listening to dd
I still need my breakfast/brunch, lots to do on a.m. routine and dailies and more on my list. I'm frustrated now from listening to dd too.

junk Roi came and the old couch is gone!
mom had kugelhopf French toast, eggs, ham slice and oranges fresh from Florida -she loves a good breakfast considering what a tiny woman she is.

I think she will be disappointed that tomorrow is oatmeal
we need to get mom's meds at Walgreens

(((RR & Sweetie)))
nice for the young man to validate what he thought
Being kind to others is underrated IMHO.
I lightly sprinkled cayenne pepper on the hash brown potatoes as they were cooking in a cast iron skillet this morning. What was I thinking?! And even weirder....we discovered that we like the depth of flavor it gives.
Our home is humming along....
** Our trash to the road before 7am to beat the trash truck.
** DD13 is at public school with no problems....other than making her wash hair twice in a row. I will certainly be glad when she is past this phase of not taking best care of her body. Hummm...she has appt with counselor tomorrow, so I need to bring this up.
** Homeschool assignments are ready for DS16. He is putting a few hours in at work before doing school.
** DFriend text asked for help with her trash pickup. She doesn't like the cold weather and she also has a baby in the house. We have repeatedly told her to let us know if we can provide assistance.
** Potatoes are scrubbed & cooking in the Instant Pot. We go through 1-3 potatoes a day and having them ready-to-eat is a huge help.
** I let our 2 dogs outside this morning and Tomas instant left the yard. He has discovered a way to sqeeze through gate that leads to neighbors back yard. Then he can exit the neighbor's back yard through another gate that opens to the neighborhood. Their 2 dogs don't go through either of the gates because they have wireless fence buried with collars on dogs. At least the mystery is solved of how Tomas is getting out.

Trying not to multi-task and keep my focus on doing one thing at a time....
** Revised and updated spreadsheets that I use to help me stay on top of a wide variety of must do's. I combined the way I was using spreadsheets the last 2 years. Any topic that isn't proven to be vitally useful was eliminated. I only want to track data that helps me
** Found, washed and installed waterers and feeders in the dog kennels. We are keeping the way we normally feed/water these 2 dogs but need a temporary method while going through this extreme cold weather.
** Ordered an extender for TV headphones. DH is now using headphones to listen to the big TV. I don't watch TV (or want to listen) so appreciate the SILENCE that this change brings me.
** Potatoes out of instant pot and cooling before I package them for refrigerator.
** Country fried steaks cooking in air fryer for family.

Ramblin', I had been concerned about you not having an appetite - hope you enjoy foods today. I didn't realize you also had a dr appt with dh today. I hope the meds change makes a difference. I know you are so aware and attentive - hard for the dr to find anything that surprises you.
Cathy and Nancy are getting ahead of me letting go of stuff. Good jobs. Nancy, I like that word workstation.
blessed, thank goodness a guy with some brains came and figured out these various things done wrong by installers - good grief. So glad you did not get a "lemon" after all, just inattentive installation. You need your household to stay warm.
Ah, Tomas, there's a wide world out there but you'd be better off staying safe!!!
Kathryn, so sorry there is that much sickness in the family. I feel for her ... .. nausea... .. ugh.
Twins' Mom, you are going above and beyond the call of cemetery duty. Glad the mud didn't keep you from learning, but gee that's a lot of responsibility. My dcousin who does that work had wanted me to be the one to take over from him, but then it turned out after all these years that I was a girl, you know.
He must hand off to a guy, as with all other responsible positions. Sure they'll have fun with that limiting situation.
My gigantic TaDa is that we are home from Dr. appt and the roads were okay, the traffic was okay, the blood draw was okay. I just stayed in my cap-like toboggan the whole time and didn't care. Dr. said, "we want you warm". lol. I looked over-compensated, but it was the least awkward in these temps/wind. I think most just assumed I was careful of the weather and ignored it. He was very reassuring, very caring. I complained a lot, IMO. He said it's not complaining if you're just telling the truth. Much of the bloodwork he would normally plan was unnecessary or unhelpful at this time, but there was still plenty - goodness the vials! So, specialist will have her informative study to do.
An interesting sidelight - I have lost no height. HRH and I had thought perhaps I had, but it is the same and, nurse says, the same measure-er place as always. They haven't checked it in years. I wonder, because when I hug HRH he seems taller to me. He says he's growing, lol.
Back home, I made tofu scramble and that alone makes me feel as though I am doing somewhat okay today. Stood at stove and didn't have a problem through probably the most cooking I do for a breakfast/brunch type meal. I was hungry, which is a good thing, but it really wasn't so great to go so long through morning without eating and having meds on time. Nothing to be done about it though, with blood work.
Dd44 called to check on us after we got home. On Tuesdays she gets something of a break at mid-day because the boys' schedules are lighter. Enjoyed that.

I got stuck after talking with (listening to) dd. I'm finally eating a late brunch.
I never got a clear plan going for myself for today. I'm wondering if I should go to the grocery today instead of tomorrow. I'm seeing we may have winter weather beginning on midday Friday - will it be crazy at the store if I wait until tomorrow? So I think I'll run the two errands out for today, and then go to grocery and stock up. Could be snowed in for weeks, you know.
Our power just blinked off and on and took internet awhile to come up. Wonder if cold weather is causing a strain on electric resources? Our furnace is gas but needs electricity to operate. It's only 35 degrees, probably warmer than yesterday and wind has dropped.

I can honestly say I am truly trying but am not seeing much progress -and my ADHD isn't a problem at this moment
I still have morning dishes in the sink, clean dishes in the dw, dirty: microwave, stove and counter.
I did go through the mail and bills have been paid, mom had a breakfast/meds and has changed her cloths and actually drank 1/2 a cup of water. She is now going through her purse (for the last half hour). I have French music on and she sings along every so often.
I try to add parts of her childhood to her experiences here. It makes her happy and many times she dances during the day. (she always danced with her sisters in our homes).
it's 20 degrees and I hope to get her meds with her soon.
waving to each and everyone of you!!!
It's 12:26 already

wow

Hello, everybody!
Much of my morning has been spent updating my calendars in my phone and adding a couple of alarms that I didn't think of yesterday. DD made a doctor's appointment, and I originally told her it would be okay, but then I noticed I have a doctor's appointment the same day. Mine is 50 minutes later, about 25-30 minutes from hers, so I will have to do some twiddling before my appointment and she will have a lot of twiddling to do after hers. Fortunately, there's a shopping strip across the street with a couple of restaurants in it, so she can have a place to go while she waits. I'll just have to make sure she has money for a good tip if it's a tipping sort of place, because she'll be there a while. Anyhow, that prompted me to add DC's dropoff/pickup schedule to my phone so I take that into account when making appointments.
Just got a call regarding my spotting -- the NP would like to move my appointment up, so that's a little scary. OTOH, that's the appointment that was on the same day as DD's appointment, so that day just got easier.
I've set up a time daily to have both kids together to work on projects. The main project I want them to work on is choosing a place and setting up drivers' lessons, but today, I wanted them to dig out my car, which looked pretty well encased. Well, DC had come downstairs in pajamas, so by the time they got dressed and were ready to go out, DD was coming in, already having done the job. So DC shoveled the back and front walks. Do I get to count that among my ta-das? Delegation?
That's rough, Rose. Hugs, and here's hoping the meds do wonderful things.
LadyM, we had chili last night, but not as wonderful as yours. DH has chicken with sausage, prunes, and apples in the crockpot for tonight. All I have to do is make some potato dumplings to go with it and then maybe a SGS? on the side.
Finished lunch. I should do some laundry. I also need to read my book for book club. Guess which I'm more likely to do?
