Tuesday's Ta-Da Tally PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

How many ta-das can you tally up for Tuesday?

Count what you do accomplish today and let's hear about the results. No fretting about that pesky to-do list!

Thank you for such a tremendous start to our day Twins' Mom!!

I have been up since 4:30. I shouldn't have had that nap yesterday afternoon.

I have some more donations in the box going out to my car later. I also have a bag of garbage from the bathroom waiting to go outside. All I have left to do is take that stuff out. Just after I typed this, dh took out the garbage!

I even went through a bunch of costume jewelry to donate. Most of it is stuff someone else gave me. Why did I hang on to it?

It's another really cold day here and it's overcast.

I have also been working on my cross stitch project.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I was exhausted and discouraged last night. I'm still fretting about the HOA invoices. I can't send those until social chair lady takes the references and payment option off the website. And if I can get the outgoing payments working I can still use it.

OTOH yesterday's ta das:
-cemetery check taken to temple, going forward hopefully getting online access to cemetery account (that has taken me at least two years!)
-wrote HOA checks and dropped off two to neighbors, other is for the gal out of town
-ID-ed unknown grave with mud over it (I think we need to have the stone reset, I bet the digging machine crossed over it and pushed it downward)
-managed supper last night from what we had in the house instead of going out (smoked brisket from holiday gift, sauteed spinach)
-washed towels
-finished a.m. routine
-walked ddog three laps in cold

Small victories. I need to be productive today too but am not sure how day looks. I need to try again on getting HOA deposit made, and dh asked me to drop something at the FedEx store for him. Both those are close, and in same direction. (I went to different branch of bank yesterday, it was between here and temple.)

This sounds like the sort of challenge I needed today. Thank you for the start, Twins.

I slept 8 hours, 7 of which without getting out of bed but I did wake up enough to restart my sleep podcast 3x in the night but went straight to bed. I might have slept more than an hour after 7:30 except we have a light on a timer that turns on at 7:30. As well, my do-not-disturb on my phone ends then and dd had texted through the night. She's been throwing up since 11p.m. They are to leave to got to England today. So there's a lot of scrambling going one and I'm on standby. Sadly, she told me at 5:30 last night they didn't need me today and so I had mapped out my day to include errands which now may be put off.

All I've done today is my tea, chocolate, light, vitamins (today I ramp up my anti-depressant) and signed up for the paid version of the sleep podcast. I've been relying on it a lot over the past weeks, both to get to sleep and to return to sleep.

Goals for the day:

[ ] inventory freezers
[ ] scrape off the frost from the deep freeze
[ ] strip and remake bed
[ ] 2 - 3 loads of laundry
[ ] enter and reconcile at least one credit card (that will have to be an easy one)
[ ] Costco run

good day to you!

d Lucy - I saw you came in late last night - I wanted to wish you a very good morning and afternoon.

d twins thank you for starting us!!! I am so sorry you are discouraged and tired from last nights invoices. hope it all works out soon.
look at all your ta das from yesterday - wonderful.

d cathy you must have seen the sunrise! have fun dropping off donations. it always feels good! it was nice that dh took out the garbage. I do love a good cross stitch - enjoy.

ta da - I am awake and here - that's my first ta da!!!

------------------------------
we had the furnace man come out - he was our regular and lovely young man (gosh that makes me sound old lol) here and he found out the furnace installers didn't put the furnace on to the stage it should be. They left it at the factory setting where it only works half way. They forgot to put it on stage 2 the full setting. (some of our vents were closed as well).

Hoping that the furnace works better now. Glad he caught it.

he was (and is always), very kind to dh.
dh insisted the reason the furnace wasn't at full capacity is bc the ducts weren't wrapped like his grandparents were. We have lived here for 25 years and we have never had our ducts wrapped. The young man told him is an idea to look at and really think about. Dh went away happy and the young man told me it didn't need it (separately). He is so respectful to dh! (dh has stewed about this for a couple of days and it was nice for the young man to validate what he thought).

Ta-da count: 2

* strip and remake bed
* get dressed for the day

first load of laundry is in the dryer, second in the washer.

I have to take dsil to the airport with the kids, leaving here at noon.

Must learn how to attach new way of using the converted child seat which is now a highback booster.

Just got back from Sweeties dr. No surprises there as I can see him loosing ground on a daily basis. The PA gave him the memory test. 30 points is the highest you can score … 6 months ago Sweetie scored 18, this time 10. And so it goes. Many questions involve language… retrieving words and understand what is being asked. I see Sweetie loosing these skills on a daily basis so his score of 10 points is sort of off. His PA did up his meds to see if it will slow down Sweeties progression.

I am feeling better, just no appetite. Make grocery shopping hard cause I don’t want to look at food.

I need to go to Walgreens to pick up a prescription
Get my nails done
Load my trunk with GW stuff
Go to the grocery store
