Thanks for the kind words. Yes, kittykatt - it was laparoscopic .Bama we have pain meds for 4 days... And, YES, I was VERY worried with anesthesia and all that... I lost my little dog during dentistry last year...
She is VERY sleepy - so am I. I woke up many times during the night.

Hi Everyone! DD32 is doing well KitKat. NIH suggested a different medication protocol which has at least for the moment has normalized her blood counts. The problem is of course it comes with a bunch of side effects so we are working on managing those. We still do temp most days although at this point it is part of the routine from the years of neutropenia and the concern that it could come back if the meds quit being as effective.

Hi Peaches! It is another very rainy day here, Trissie. The library program was a bit chaotic for Little Bit. Puddles are always a fun thing according to Little Bit and she is obsessed with playing with the water table, even in the pouring down rain. Hi Bama…. I need more veggies too. Are most of your plants outside or in the greenhouse, Laura?

Little Bit seems to love playing in water, L Ann! We're forecast to get some rain around 5 pm here.
I see the pup did well, kitkat.
Bama, I remember Josie, our chocolate lab, running around like an absolute maniac the day after her spay. We let her outside to visit with friends. (We did eventually corral her back in the house when we saw how crazy she was. . . ) She then developed a lot of bruising around her incisions; I sent photos -- but the vet was not concerned and said all was well.
CL, that's a lot of exercise classes. I'm quite sore and tired after just 1 hour with my personal trainer. He does push me in areas he feels he can. I cannot imagine 3 hours of working out.

Thank you Kitty, Lauralind, and others. The appointment was very informative. Now, I need to do more information gathering. They would like a copy of her vaccination records, which the previous NH did not send. She might do an e-consult with urology re: kidney issue + thickened bladder walls. And I should be getting a call from neurology for an appointment. New check up appt. made in September.

L.Ann, I kinda think playing in puddles is fun too, but I am too adult-y to do it!
helia, you reminded me of when we had our first cat spayed. There were some complications and a second surgery was needed and it was a bit touch and go. D-then-boyfriend was home with the cat because I had to be at work, and he sent me a text message saying "good new - Miri just peed in our bed!" (there were concerns about possible damage to kidneys/bladder). If I didn't know till then he was a husband material, I would have been sold that moment!
well, you gotta show DPup how to properly take a nap, then, kitkat!

I'd love a nap. I'd take an early bedtime either, but I don't foresee that in my future either
