A lazy day here. I didn't get up until almost 9:30 so no nap here! Dh has gone to the pool for awhile. I'm upstairs playing.

So good to hear from you, Sunny!!! I'm so sorry it's difficult for you to hear from Harmony. I miss her and I know you miss her. Best wishes to the (soon to be) newlyweds in your family. And I''m glad you're getting to enjoy your dgreat-grand!
I have done nothing for the fourth of July, except put on a red and white top. LOL. DS called a little while ago and asked if I wanted to go watch fireworks tonight, and I said yes, so we'll do that a little later. He said we could go somewhere and eat before, so we're leaving around 6:00 pm. I imagine DGD will spend the night with me afterwards.
I have washed a couple loads of clothes, and the second load is in the dryer now.
Did my Bible reading and 5-min stretching.
I'm feeling kinda down today. Of course, fireworks are kinda a trigger for bittersweet memories for me. DS has no idea -- I always want to see them, and it was a big tradition with dh after the dgrands came along. But OTOH, they also bring back memories of watching them with OG once -- and that makes me sad too. I may need to post in J&C. I wish we lived close enough to the beach to just take off and drive there for a couple days. Dmom would LOVE to go, but it's such an ordeal -- we're about 6 hours away from the Gulf and I've never driven half that long by myself. Of course, with dmom with me, I wouldn't be alone, but I don't know if she could even walk in the sand at all. I bet it's beyond crowded this weekend anyway.
I'd like to have been invited to whatever my cousins are doing today, but also OTHO, it's so hot, and I would NOT want to be in their swimming pool with at least 8 kids! Dmom said she was just going to stay in and try to stay cool today. I think dbil and dsisil are spending the day at her home (she kept her house) and pool. I wouldn't mind being on the boat with my parents, but I never wanted to do that when ddad was alive.
Sometimes, having "fun" is just too much trouble.
I'm sorry things have been cancelled in your area, Rose! Here it is sunny and 89 degrees, feels like 93. It should be down to 77 when the fireworks start, so that's pretty good. I see that my dbro is having rain predicted for the rest of the night also.
LOL -- I am so glad dgrands have good, strong memories of dh. The other day, DGD dropped a Barbie shoe in the kitchen, and while she was looking for it, she said, "This is like when Granddaddy dropped one of his pills and we all had to help him find it." That WAS a common occurrence.
Nancy, I did my indoor walking last night. Trying to get back in the habit. I've really been lazy this week.
Cathy -- I feel like Eeyore (from Winnie the Pooh) -- Thanks for noticing me! LOL -- or rather, noticing my absence.
Someone is already shooting fireworks around here -- I can hear them. It is broad daylight! Dcousins usually put on quite a show at their house, and it is just across the pasture from me -- too far to walk (for ME, anyway) -- but I can usually see them from my house. But they will probably be finished before I get home from Next Town with DS and family. I don't think we're supposed to set off fireworks in the city limits, but dcousin's are like me, just outside the city limits. In fact, dbil next door to me IS in the city limits, but I am not.

It's SUNNY day when we get to hear from SUNNY. How in the world is dgdM older than a teenager? How does time fly so fast? Best wishes to all in the family, with all the news. The Granny Squares project sounds like you are having fun with it. If you get a chance, let us know how it goes in A, C and Needlework thread.
Guys, LAnn lost her mother in the early hours today and posted about it in the Fun and Games thread.
The trip out to get my injection was just as time consuming as we thought. Because it is a holiday, we had to walk so far in the heat, back and forth. And I didn't realize I would have to have bloodwork done first. We actually got the results of the bloodwork before the lab even started formulating the injection med, and so it was a long time. Also, ouch, ouch.
Back home, we had a quick lunch and I just had to nap. HRH tried to wake me at one point (although he insists he was just teasing me and didn't really try hard), and I was so zonked I just went right back to sleep.
This afternoon, our green-eyed boy came and mowed the lawn. His Daddy came in and sat to chat with us and play with Tobias. He is so missed when he leaves - Tobias just stares at the door hoping he'll come back and roughhouse some more. Ds is so suntanned! They are thoroughly enjoying the above-ground pool they just got. He says ddil can lie in it for hours reading. Lol - glad she has found a calm retreat from kids, dog, husband, work.
In so many ways, a lost day. I was getting so much more done around the house on Tues, Wed. Oh well.

Yuck, I heard fireworks earlier this afternoon when I was walking the dog, Nancy and Lucylee. And while we were walking this morning, I think a dneighbor must have detonated one accidently. Smoke coming from behind his fence and he had just accidently let their little dog out. I wonder about his capacity - it smells like weed a lot and he's quite frail.
We were also invited to see fireworks, Lucylee, and I suggested dh go and I stay home with ddog. She'll need meds again tonight I'm sure. But he didn't want to go.
It's been a holiday here for us - dh went to the pool and was hanging out with a neighbor, her dh and littles. We've known her parents since before they were married. It's good for him to get out and socialize on days like today when we don't otherwise have plans. And I did a little playing with genealogy and a little stamping.
LOL, Lucylee, you're ahead of me...
We were also invited to see fireworks, Lucylee, and I suggested dh go and I stay home with ddog. She'll need meds again tonight I'm sure. But he didn't want to go.

I'm making my to do list for tomorrow. Dh and I are going back and forth about what time to leave on Sunday a.m. Check in time is 4 p.m. and I hate to get there much earlier, especially on a busy summer weekend. It's likely we'll be delayed in getting our keys etc. and I hate to have to rush around in the morning, then have to hang out for hours before we get our keys and condo. This is by far the most noise from fireworks I've heard here... .. ever, I think. Hollywood could just use this sound for a war movie and save money. 
I hope little Pearl is okay over at ddolder's house - they made a lot of arrangements for her, but she is alone. Also, my granddog at ds' house, but he has his people at home. Just thinking of the animals in the fields, too, wildlife.
Did a kitchen declutter. I was going to use my hand-held electric scrubber on the sink, but the cord for charging has mysteriously disappeared. Sigh. HRH says he will try to see if we have another set up that will get it charged.
We made a grocery order. Hopefully that will get here in the morning and get us back on track with a few meals I'm looking forward to making.
Had to give up on ordering a script for me because pharmacy was closed. Oh well. We never seem to be able to get all the ones we need to pick up at the same time done conveniently. HRH will just have to get his picked up and I'll just have to wait until another trip.

I've heard a few fireworks off and on today.
More now but less than in years past so far any way.
They cut back allowing it to a day or two and just one day this year b/c it's so dry.
Got the jeans hemmed yea!
Cooked myself a hamb. patty put on a home made bun. Side was a home grown tomato from my yard.
Watched some on my series.
Worked on some writing.
Too cold for beach pool activities here today IMO.
