Well, my weight made a big jump up this morning after decreasing 3 days in a row - but I'm going to use it for my weekly weigh in. Not sure why the jump, but I'll stay the course.

Last night, I finished the first part of exam prep. The drafts have been sent off. We'll see what changes I need to make.

Today, I'm meeting with my trainer at 9 a.m. and proctoring the session exit exam at 4:10 a.m. In between those 2 events, I'd like to . . . work on the house!! Wow! Housework always gets shoved to the back burner in my life. Clean sheets and towels, finishing the desk tidying project, perhaps more clothes decluttering. A walk would be good too. It should be less rainy this afternoon -- but hot. Dh and I will go out for dinner tonight, probably for sushi to keep it low-cal. I might have more payroll if I hear back from the teachers re: the exams.

Morning Dogged. I would like to go back to bed.

Do the kids go to camp this weekend, Trissie? It is nice here right now, kittykatt. We have had a week with much lower humidity than usual. It is supposed to feel like 105 though by afternoon so we want to get to the art garden early.

I am doing 15 minutes of desk work and then I need to get the kitchen floor mopped.

1-desk work 15 minutes
2-cook pasta for pasta salad
3-get DGD12 to laundry

Morning all. I am up . Normal time for us I suppose. Sitting here putting off getting moving. I really should. I have the same amount of time as before work we're procrastinating our departure time by an hour or so. Heading up to dd place. They aren't home till 6. We often arrive just a bit before that. But I have left all the packing and basic routine so we can leave the house for a week till now. I didn't even clean up supper last night. I'm getting bad. The food gets put away and that is it.

Helian you have your mom close enough to see every day if you want to now. Plus teaching and very many social engagements. My house goes on the back burner too.

Looks like you have made great opportunities for dgd. Has dgs ever come to spend time with you? That will be fun too.

Two weeks of camp trissie? Do all 4 go? That will be a nice break but quiet house. I kinda wish I could do that with ds. He's barely interested in going to his sister's house now. Man when she left for school he was devastated. And he gets along really well with his new brother in law. Same sports interests so that helps. He doesn't seem sad or upset or anything and he's playing a new game. But his usual drive for cooking is barely there. No desire to get to the court. Last summer at least he attempted occasionally to time basketball with his one friend. He is even resisting church atm. He knows everyone there but I am not about to fight that battle. He will go when he wants to. His autism diagnosis did come through. I've asked a teacher in special ed friend to read it with me. After we get back. All of the help programs are in the city and that is not helpful at all.

Anyway I am looking forward to seeing the kids. Sad these 2 can't come. But I get to see them here. I've spent quite a bit of time the last few days avoiding a bit of a mess in the family again and I need to get outta here for a week and catch a break.

Yes, all of our kids are going, but I'll believe it when we return to an empty house!

lauralind, good luck getting the help your DS needs! What grade is he going to in the fall?
L.Ann, that's very hot! Does the art garden have indoor / shaded areas?
helia, there's LOADS of work to do when setting up the camp, so we'll be there to do our share. I for one am in charge of assembling the big party tents for kitchen and mess hall, it's been my job for about 5 years now

Time to get started on the actual packing!

I shopped 2 days with mother. My foot hurts, because the floors are hard and she has unlimited wish to shop for hours. She did need new shoes, and we found 2 pairs she liked. And she found a blouse that she just "had" to have! She loved it. I hope it fits, it's a medium, and that is normally her size. We did manage to spend her Kohl's cash wisely, plus earned $20 more. She had a 20% discount coupon for the new purchases after using the Kc.
I also had several email communications with mother's NH regarding her falls, her nutrition, and other things.

Kittykatt's dh has managed to get his new desk planted.
trissie's kids are off to camp
doggedly got her clothes drying rack inside to avoid the rain and any penalty for it being seen outside
helian has been exercising with a personal trainer - I'm jealous that you can have that encouragement and skilled help. Her mom's in hospice agian, gets better each time - I hope that helps this time too. And bro is coming probably mostly to see mom - now that she is far away, he is aware that he should see her - more often than when she was close!
L.ann is very busy with grandkids! And loving it! and looking forward to a nap!
Laurlind is overwhelmed as ever with parental caregiving. And is learning about the autism spectrum. 16 already - what seems like a long time ago there was a little boy called Peanut - was that him, or did he belong to someone else? I don't remember. If it was him, h's not a Peanut anymore - how tall is he?

We had a huge downpour rain a couple nights ago, and ended up getting fast food for supper because we didn't have to get out of the car. My weight went up 2 pounds! And today it's back to where it was. Probably too much salt in the ff. But it tasted good haha.
I'm on 2 days in a row for my sitting exercise DVD. Trying to exercise but pamper my foot. It was feelig pretty good until 2 days of shopping and pushing wheelchair around.
I've got ot find a bill so I can pay it.
Should go to bank and check balances.
Grand Nephew's birthday today - need to get to mother so she can call him (great grandson) and wish him a happy day.

ItS summer. mid 80s and very humid. Very typical weather here. I run 2 dehumidifiers in my basement and empty them at least every day, sometimes twice. I have one at mother's to empty, and her tenant has one as well.
When am I going to get to IKEA to look at small couch for the apartment???
