Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
sorry I couldn't answer earlier! I spent the morning in the yard and then sitting with d mom and helper chatting.
it's pouring now.
d twins thank you!!! I have struggled getting used to not being needed with mom - I find myself leaning in and I have to force myself to focus in on the work!
mom - I feel for her - she has been better mentally but it is sad that her body and her mind isn't always working with her. She has not been violent any more. she gets frustrated at times, bc she wants to do it herself; understandable.
having multiple young helpers has been great for her brain.
she has been feisty but funny - quick witted.
hi d Nancy
hi d cathy
hi d lady
hi d harriet
hi d Lucy
hi d everyone
I will be back to say hi individually.

Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
Progress. Rescheduled hair appt for Friday and dermatologist for a week later. Long phone call with sleep doc people because I had an appt in March so they don't know if I need a new one, or if the script can be just sent again. Held on phone with vet's office for a bit but didn't continue. I can call back. The caterer has my stainless bucket for drinks and I can pick it up tomorrow, and return their trays.
Now, to upstairs!

Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
Hi! I went and dropped off my winter coat for dry cleaning along with the goose down duvet. It's so hot so I figured getting them both done now would be better than waiting until October.
While I was out, I dropped off the blue jay cross stitch to be reframed or adjusted or whatever they needed to do to make it straight.
I found the ownership to my car. I never looked in the inside pocket of my winter coat. (It's better to NOT keep it in the vehicle just in case the vehicle is stolen. Same with the insurance of any vehicle with only one driver. Better to keep these 2 pieces of paper in the wallet of the driver. A police officer told me this.) I'm extremely happy to have found this piece of paper. I had been going through a lot of paperwork looking for this.
Meat for supper is in the crockpot/slow cooker after it had been marinated for around 10 hours. I think it smells wonderful in here.
I also got the groceries I forgot about yesterday. Butter was on sale, and so was soda. Dh only wanted 3 six packs yesterday. I brought home 7 more. If we can save money, it's better to stock up. I also got milk and eggs and bread and beans for the bean salad that dh loves.
Dishwasher was full so it did the dishes while I was out.

Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
I had a great afternoon. Actually found the will of the eldest of the two same name guys, and he refers to his son with the same name. And did some research into Tennessee. I'm not recording this as well as I should, thrill of the hunt, you know, so I need to update the word document and record conclusions.
Dog is walked and fed fresh food. Her food last night went into the refrigerator because she hadn't eaten, and it's been there all day today, so I dumped it and started over for her. She's a picky eater, vet reminds me she won't starve herself. I never called vet back so that's on a list for tomorrow.
Dcleaning lady will be here in the a.m. and I have a workout at 2 p.m.

Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
The visit from construction guy was productive. We have a plan for starting on the chimney and its needs, in a process-of-elimination way of working on that from top down, hoping we'll have to do as little as possible. He also looked at my kitchen and took photos, but we're all agreeing that the chimney is priority. I appreciated that HRH, in taking his card, said to him the deciding vote was sitting on the couch. It took him a second, but he grinned and quickly got out a second card for me.
In preparation for him coming I probably did a little more housework than I usually would by that time of day. Swept, mopped.

Harriet - sounds like you are well on your way with finding solutions with construction guy.
I've had a productive day and feel good about what I've accomplished. 80 SHE cards completed. I didn't get everything done....but that never happens so it doesn't bother me. Those loose ends will be waiting for me in the morning. I have instructed DS16 that he is to text me a picture of his clean bathroom vanity. I do want to follow up on that request.

Re: Write it down Wednesday PWYC
LadyM, it really does sound as if you have had a very productive day. That's a clear but satisfying way to get his bathroom vanity cleaned up, plus a photo will allow him to really see it as others would.
"The thrill of the hunt". Lots of intrigue, Twins'.
I hope your Millie is just being persnickety and has her appetite back soon.
I made a very good and pretty homemade coleslaw using purple cabbage this evening and put enough away in the fridge for a meal tomorrow, too.
Got a birthday card ready for the mail.
