Hi, all. I wandered away yesterday and never made it back.

Kittykatt, did turning off the lights convince your dcats that it was bed time? Or did they laugh and say "Nice try! I can see in the dark. I have cats eyes!"

Big WTG on getting your full list done, Gma!

That is an excellent strategy, L.Ann. Well fed and quick clean up!

That is excellent news that you have a class next season, helia.

I am now caught up for yesterday. I have to go and flip the laundry. Last night I made a batch of Clean Your Fridge with the small slow cooker, so I am enjoying my spicy tomato beef and tofu with my rice as a change.

Thanks for starting us off, Kittykatt. Those teacakes sound awesome. I would like to try one one day. I should check if the Scottish And Irish store is still in business. It's on my way to the restaurant tomorrow.
I hope tha your DF gets back to her usual self soon.

A trip to the craft store sounds like fun, helia.

Are you enjoying getting back to routing after your eventful month, L.Ann?

Gma, they say that a change is as good as a rest, but I'm not sure that they were thinking of your To Do list, LOL
I'm in the laundry room too, today. Earlier than was my wont, so no worries about getting done before they lock up. There also doesn't seem to be much competition at this time of day either.

Thursday
Cleaned up after dog
Made arrangements to donate a box of pee pads and the hydrolysed protein dog food that Germane doesn’t like
Spiffed self
Started two loads of laundry
Germane pooped in the laundry room, beside her pee pad.
Cleaned it up. I bring wipes with me to clean off the machines, so we are well prepared.
Brought Germane back, where she used her pee pads properly. Celebrated.
Flipped laundry

WTG getting to the laundry room before the crowds arrive, Doggedly!
Hi Peaches!

I have about 45 minutes before I need to start dinner and trying to get some mojo. Next, I'm going to move the calendars downstairs (I save each year's as a sort of documentation of what we did that year) - and declare the desk done!! While I'm down there, I'll switch the laundry -- and then I think I'll go for a walk to accompany my work out this morning.

Next:
- calendars downstairs
- switch laundry
- walk

Later:
- lights: w d f pa
- writing time
- sheets on guest beds
- go to craft store? (Parking is difficult in that area of town - could also go tomorrow as it's in the general direction of the NH)
- walk
- dinner: tuna pasta, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- review fall travel schedule with dh
- duo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - a bit up
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website - it should clear up this afternoon with a high of 74*F
- 8-9 work out with AS
- gassed the car
- some qt
- reclaimed kitchen
- groc. list and wrote up menu plan for the week - minus tomorrow's menu which dh hasn't given me yet
- Kroger run; also deposited plastic bags to be recycled -- if they actually are recycled :?:
- put everything away
- lunch
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- made the bed
- folded and put away darks
- lights: washing
- paid snail mail bills + house ins. bill
- filed away receipts; mail bills prepped for the mail
- put the desk sorter together; the directions were rather unclear.

WTG on working on the desk, helia. Mine is crying out for a total declutter, and I keep putting it off because I donwanna.

I did, however, do 2 of my 3 phone calls and cannot for the life of me think what the third one was supposed to be. Whatever it was, I'm sure that it can wait for tomorrow.

I am chowing down on spaghetti and my Clean Your Fridge sauce. It came out well.

Called restaurant to tell them the final headcount for Saturday
Filled the dw to run later:”Retirement” Goal Win: Filled it mostly with dishes that need to be washed a second time, that were cluttering up a shelf
Called the animal hospital to get Germane’s prescription renewed and check for dog food. They are out of Germane’s but think that they will have some in stock tomorrow. I hope so.

Hello, everyone!

Helian, the knitting projects sound adorable and not too much work! I haven't heard from. dF E again yet, but I'll send her a text rom6

L.Ann, July has certainly been a very demanding month. Fingers gets crossed August will be "normal".

Gma, that's very kind of you to mail things to your DSis, especially as you spent 12 hours cleaning g the house after her .

Dogged, your meal sound ms both enterprising g.amd delicious. How wise you get the lau dry done while there's no one else around.

Hi, Peaches!

Lunch went very well, everyone was happy, and the general consensus is that people would like to go back there in future. :D I spent time afterwards chatting with DF PM, and planning when the next few lunches are going to be. We've also talked some.more about the Christmas lunch, and shared the idea with the group. That has also been met with enthusiasm and offers of help. :D So we'll need to get the sign up sheet for that ready for the beginning of September, when everyone is back from.holiday. Afterwards I walked back to church to talk to MQ, and finally.for home around rpm!!

DH has arrived safely at his brother's house. Waitrose were early, so I was able to water the front garden afterwards. Everyone had been fed, and Ive wrapped those last two boxes for eBay. I'll take them down to the garage tomorrow - it took far than planned, and I'm late to bed to night. But I can turn off the alarm for tomorrow! :D

chipmunk trap checked and empty. Maybe there was only one? I'll move it to another location tomorrow if it is empty after tonight.
showered, lotioned, and dressed
I've made blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
The dw is loaded and running.
1 LOL in dryer, another in the washer.
dehumidifiers checked, didn't need emptying yet.

PFT (plan for today)
  laundry 1 sweater still needs soaking and buttons repaired.
 Found a gas card that I had given dsis2. she hadn't used it, so I didn't need to go to church
 mother-> call her, went to soak her feet and do her toes. 101 year old toenails are a challenge to manage!
home again to eat my supper, get last lol out of the dryer, folded and ready to take to her, so she can pick out what she wants to wear tomorrow
Leaving in about 10 mintues to go see her set her hair in rollers as my cousins/ her nephews are coming to go out for noon tomorrow.

That looks like quite a list. My lsits are never the same from day to day! I didn't get nearly as much done today as I did yesterday.
Dson came to move my seewing machine back where it belongs. I hope I can get a little more done there when I get home from mother tonight.

moved to tomorrow's list

package up several things to mail to dsis2. Things she left when she was here, plus a dress I found in my closet I can send to her. It has not been urgent - but I want to get them out of here, not wait until she comes in December to take them home - and then she will not want to take them because she will have limited luggage space. But no, I am not mailing the newspapers she left scattered around the house and porch as my other sister suggested. I put them into the recycle soon after she left, and spent 12 hours cleaning mother's house (where she stayed for 2 weeks).
get vacuum cleaner bags for mother's house - I just used the last one.
2 buttons need to be sewn on to her sweater. Others need reinforcing.

When I was there doing her feet, I noticed VERY swollen feet. Her poor 101 yr old heart just isn't as strong as it used to be. She has been up in w/c all day, with legs down. She needs to get back into bed for a while after lunch, to get her feet up? probably .
