Twins, I loved "seeing" your view in my mind.
My view was not especially scenic, but I love it. It's one of my favorite times of year -- they've just cut the hay and there are big round bale of hay all across the pasture behind my house. My yard is freshly mown, and it looks so much nicer. I actually sat outside in the shade of my carport for awhile, looking across the pasture. There are a few houses in a subdivision at the far end of the pasture, but mostly the pasture is surrounded by trees, and in the far distance, you can see the tops of a mountain range. Well, what WE call a mountain -- LOL -- Harriet and Twins would NOT consider this much of a mountain. It has been a beautiful day here, blue sky with some puffy white clouds, a little bit of a breeze, and I was in the shade, so the temperature was bearable.
Anyway, I sat out there for awhile after I took the garbage to the road. Prayed a lot. (See J&C)
I may go out after midnight and look for shooting stars. We're supposed to be having meteor showers, but the next three nights are the "peak" viewing times.
This was after I took dgrands home. DDIL called and wanted them to come home early and help her with dog. Her back is still giving her a lot of trouble and she said the only way she could stand it was to lie down. She taught Sunday School this morning, but left afterwards.
I took the dgrands to eat after church and they came home with me, but I took them to their house after an hour or so.
Since then, I've set up my planner for next week.
Tuesday I have to take dmom to the doctor (about HER back) and Thursday I have a haircut. Friday, I suspect DGS will want me to take him to the high school ballgame, since DS will be out of town, and Wednesday-Friday, I think I will be on after school pick-up duty. I hope I will not be doing overnight and morning drop off Thursday and Friday. I hope ddil can at least drop off dgrands with me in the mornings, dressed and ready for school. It is really hard for me to get everyone to sleep at a normal time when they are here on school nights. So -- anyway, in my planner for Wednesday-Friday, it says "Be flexible."
In the middle of all this, I do plan to get more done with the patio furniture.

LadyM, I'm glad you and LordM had such a good day!
I certainly hope I can get outside before 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and get something done with that furniture. I'm determined to use all the liquid paint before I buy more. And my goal for the week is to at least get the chairs done.
I also need to prune the shrubs a little bit, and probably need to water the little tree sprouts. (Although T-Th, we have a 50%/60% chance of rain.)

The little Yorkie sounds so precious! I have never had a small dog, except when I was very young we had a dachshund, which I barely remember, but he must have stayed in my subconscious. That is still my favorite kind of dog. Later I had a collie, and dh and I had a Labrador/German Shepherd mix.
Harriet, I"m glad you got to go into the store and had an ice cream treat. Soon things will be 100% normal for you! (((HUGS)))

Y'all, I'm having a really nice night. I just ate supper -- Stouffer's lasagna and ice cream for dessert -- and I'm watching The Parent Trap. It is not the original -- it's the one with Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, and Lindsay Lohan as the twins. It is so good -- I've never seen the original. I just realized who Natasha Richardson is -- she was married to Liam Neeson and died with a blood clot. So tragic.
When this goes off, I'm watching the season finale of The Gilded Age.
I do need to put some stain remover on my shirt. SMH. I can't eat without messing up something...
