Scenic Sunday PWYC
It’s quite scenic here. Imagine a condo on the river (see a theme with rivers for me?) with boats going past to scallop this morning. The sun is out and herons are feeding by the little creek. A live oak stands by with Spanish moss trailing from branches.
What pretty scenes do you see today? Gardens? Fields of crops? Mountains or forests?

Re: Scenic Sunday PWYC
Thank you for such a beautiful start to our day Twins' Mom!!
We have been out in our gardens earlier today. Right now dh has taken the ATV for a ride. To get at the ATV, the riding mower needed to be moved. Dh asked if I could park it in the garage for him, so I had a very short drive on the tractor. Not a very scenic drive.
Dh went over to the peach trees on the far side of the alfalfa field and brought me back a peach. He ate his on the way home.
We got another tray full of beans from the garden this morning. Now we have 4 full ziploc bags.

Good morning
I love reading about and imagining the sights you are seeing.
I just came inside after reminding DH that his time outside is over until this evening. We try to mostly stay indoors during the hours of 10am - 7pm on the days the heat index is over 100. DH usually spends 2-3 hours outside before and after the dangerous heat hours.
Some VDFriends stopped by for a chat this morning. #TreasuredMoments
39 SHE cards completed.

Re: Scenic Sunday PWYC
Well, I am recovering from my surgery on Friday. Yesterday was kind of difficult because my nose bleed pretty heavily, which is normal since they don’t pack your nose anymore. I don’t hurt too much so that’s good just I’m glad you just a little bit tired.
We have had torrential rains today. I am puppy sitting again, and when I tried to take Coco outside this morning, the rivers were so deep she would’ve floated away. Thankfully, her owners have taught her to piddle and poop in the shower, which that may sound strange, but is extremely easy to take care of, especially since she’s only 3 pounds.
LadyM… I have much to learn about this little Yorky. All my dogs have been 50 pounds plus so I’ve never had a little one. She’s as cute as can be affectionate energetic and just a ton of fun to be around. However, she’s very stubborn. I’m trying to teach her some things like sit and stay would be helpful. If I could help trainer she’s doing better at that I must admit, but still in all she didn’t like the word come. But she sure does love all her toys and she loves playing with us. She especially loves sweetie.
Doing laundry and trying to do normal things today. I am told I can do anything I want for the next week except lift heavy weights, which I have no intentions of doing.

((Ramblin')) not packing the nose any longer? I had not heard that. Very sorry you had to deal with bleeding for longer. I hope the surgery is very successful. It sounds delightful taking care of a tiny dog, even if not always predictable.
Twins', I enjoyed envisioning your scenic surroundings.
I haven't seen much new lately. We did go out to the corner store last evening, and HRH encouraged me to actually go in myself, since it was so late and we were obviously going to be the only customers. Only two employees there, both new to me, and of course HRH makes them his pals right away. (I think he was already so with the young man.) The woman was in a snit over something but apologizing to HRH within a minute or two. It was interesting to wander store aisles again even if a small place. We ended up buying some foolishness, but not too bad. Back home, each of us had an ice cream treat.
Yesterday I got extra laundry done, including the cloth bathmat, which I ended up drip-drying by bedtime since it takes forever for even the dryer to get it dry. Bathroom cleaning was started, but there's certainly more.

Nope no packing and no black eyes. Just let the blood drain out the nose. Wearing a gauze mustache held by a band. Lots of changing and using a squeezable Netty pot with warm water.
Dr found I still had a bad sinus infection so I am on antibiotics and prednisone again. No lifting weights.

Re: Scenic Sunday PWYC
This afternoon is a baby shower for DS17 friends that are here many times a week. I am not attending the shower but sent our gift with DS17 and GF.
((((RR)))) I hope your recovery goes smoothly.
I enjoyed reading about your yorkie guest. Yorkies are a blast! If I had to pick one word to describe Micro, it would be demanding. He has no idea he’s tiny and is determined to get his way. He’ll jump up and down in frustration when we’re not responding how he wants. We can’t let Micro outside without keeping a close watch because of the owls and hawks that hang around. They could swoop in and grab him before we even have a chance to react. Because Micro legs are so short the grass touches his belly when he is outside and it causes a rash. When he started using puppy pads then the rash went away.

Re: Scenic Sunday PWYC
Dd26 visited this afternoon, bringing us a strawberry cake. Did her Daddy's heart good to get so many hugs. She clipped Tobias' nails as he patiently sighed. She brought the news of hosting a podcast for her workplace now. It begins in September although they've already done some of the production.
She and dsonil traveled to Maryland for a concert and met some of their friends there. Before coming home, after she had fallen asleep in the back seat of the car, dsonil surprised her by driving to the Smithsonian Zoo in Baltimore. Among other fun scenic surprises, they were able to see a gorilla mother playing with her baby, swinging it back and forth and around and around just like humans swing their small children. She was so sorry she hadn't had the presence of mind to get that on video.
HRH helped me get the master bathroom a little farther along this afternoon by changing out the shower curtain liner.

Re: Scenic Sunday PWYC
Tomorrow hoping to finish bathroom deep clean, do some mopping,
Can continue the declutter in the mud room, I hope.
Desk Day just continues to accumulate, and I'm supposed to make some appts on my own.
There's something with the prayer meeting group, also, unusual for a Monday, and I wrote down the time so that I can remember to get there if it's convenient at all.
Ddolder sent a photo of DangerBoy clowning for a photo in front of his and roommates' townhouse. It looks very nice. She sent the address, reminding that when we write we should use his actual first name rather than what he's called, so that there won't be any confusion for mail carrier. Last school year I made him a univ-themed bookmark of patchwork, but I doubt I'll do anything that elaborate again. Still, I'm sure HRH will want to send a little money sometime.
