Waving to lauralind, helia, Dogged, kittykatt and Frenchie!
Sorry, can't be social, I had a really short night and if I sit down, I'll never get up and this is not a week I could afford slacking!

TaDas
- morning madness
- morning routine
- load of cleaning rags
- sort and delay start light
- day at work
- flip laundry to dryer
- pick up DBD from school
- take her for her speech therapy
- 10 minute power nap

ToDos
- midday routine
- 15 in master bedroom
- sort overflowing bag of hand-me-downs for our neighbour to three piles (she has three kids and all are a size or so down from mine, so she gets everything - win-win for both of us!)

Were there fewer people in the store today, or more even, lauralind?
How cool that you actually have been near Maasai Mara, helia! Visiting that part of Africa is on my bucket list (I had vacationed in Tunisia and Egypt several times - it's just one of the destinations Europeans go to - well at least anyways used to go to, haven't been there since 2008 and even then we were carefully selecting a hotel outside on main tourist areas for less visibility and therefore lower appeal for a terrorist attack)
L.Ann, glad the procedure went well!

on my last set. I will aim for an early bedtime tonight, though I've made it through the worst tiredness and feel mostly fine now - but I will feel better tomorrow if I get some extra rest!

TaDas
- afternoon routine
- 10 mins on stationary bike
- call kids to do homework
- dinner
- dinner dishes done

ToDos
- 15 on laundry
- 15 in office
- evening routine

I enjoyed reading about Maasai Mara in Tanzania from trissie and helia. Tanzania is where Ken in Canada goes for a few weeks most summers to teach mathematics to teens and he definitely teaches teenaged girls. So helia, maybe those classes and others like them will be part of the solution to the marrying-off (rush to marriage?) of young teen girls rather than encouraging their continuing education.

Gma, I was so sorry to hear that your dmother had been experiencing so much pain. I'm glad you could be with her.

I believe I was summoned psychically (lol - no) to read yesterday's posts because someone typed the word quilting as a potential craft ahead.

Quiltmaking is my reward during this lead-up time to the holidays, right now making tiny ones for ornaments. I say quiltmaking because I no longer hand quilt but try to do most everything on the machine.

Wheelchair - my ds says that fire departments often know wise choices about how and where to donate home care items. They get calls often and can match to organizations, etc.

Hello everyone!

Helia, what a wonderful experience that must have been for you and your friend in the Maasai Mara.

Laura, I hope work goes smoothly today.

Trissie, you've certainly got a lot on!

I'm glad everything went well today, L.Ann, but yikes about DD32's debit card!

Harriet, I used to do sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet before we had three cats!!! Tobias must be very well behaved to resist the temptations of needles, pins, thread and wool!

I had a very nice time in my garden today - it was really warm in the sun - and I used some of my time outside to do a little more admin. A d I had a nice chat with Dnextdoorneighbour C. Upstairs is now clean and tidy, and everyone has been fed. The vet rang to say Matilda's food has arrived, so I'll pick that up later in the week. Relaxing on the sofa now with Matilda on my lap.
