Morning all. Busy morning for me. And then I will reboot and figure out what to do with my afternoon.

First off school run and stay there for a bit. Going to meet with the iep manager for ds. Discuss his goals and see what kind of differences are happening this year. I honestly think he's thriving again although I still have no faith in the education he's receiving. He says he is ahead in math. English he hates . Teacher is fine he just never has had interest. Then he has the same Teacher for math and wood shop and the rugby coach. At least he likes him. Rugby and running keep him busy after school. Just have to verify the social and attitude and make sure his credits are right.

So meet with the school. And then I have to see if I can get hold of the coordinator for mom's care. See where that landed. My sister is away for work this week and I went to the meeting anyway. Nothing has happened yet. She had thought it could start right away. And same phone call. Book appointments. One for dh. Lab apt for me. And the 1030 bible study. And see what came of our other little mom's prayer sister group... maybe I just missed it a couple times.

Lots to do later.... or not? I have to do something. Garden. Tomatoes. Cabbage.. kale. Painting and organize craft room? Cleaning? Anything.

Home from work, and very tired. Yesterday was a super long day - DH was helping DS do his homework till 11pm! Yes, there was procrastination on DS's part, and his concentration in the evenings is even worse than during the day. Today needs to be an early night! At least dinner's already taken care of - spent extra 5 minutes this morning to start a nice big roast for shredded pork (half to use now, half for freezer), I'll just make some oven roasted potatoes and salad to go with it and we'll be set.

(((Gma and dmom))), your mom has a great team around her now with you as a leader. Use hospice resources for yourself too, we had a retired preacher working for hospice that I would call and talk, that was very understanding and helpful to my own mental health at the time. Just having someone to talk to that understood and would listen was helpful.

Helia, sounds like a “girl dinner” night on your own. Enjoy the quiet time.

Laura, I hope your day goes well.

It was nice to wake to a semi clean house, I mopped before I went to bed last night. It has gotten hot again which sucks the energy right out of me. Tomorrow is garbage pick up so at least I have a goal to focus on, get as much trash out as I can. Surface level it isn’t much though so it’s not that satisfying. I’m dilly dallying on any deep decluttering as it seems overwhelming. My own fault. I could do one box or one square foot at a time and make a little progress every day. The worst two rooms are dh’s bedroom and a small office next to it which I want to make my room. I can’t sleep with his snoring and bipap machine. And of course he only sleeps on his back. Idk how he does that. For now I’ve been using dd1’s old room which is down a hallway so I have to walk across the house to my bathroom and closet. I don’t mind but I’d like to empty her old room and put all of the pet stuff in it so I can get my main rooms sort of pet free, especially when we have company. And one cat, Opie, is stubborn and likes to mark different places around the hallway and fireplace. Ugh. There is entirely too much testosterone in this house. Hormones as well. I use the water spray bottle nightly to break up some tif. I think it’s 4 females and 7 males inside. Entirely too much but what do you do. All spayed and neutered of course. Plus one mama cat outside (mama to 4 inside) and the neighbors male that has decided moms porch is the perfect place to live. Two male dogs. I was always a female pet person so the males can be a little more than I want to handle. It would be nice to put them all in an empty room lol. More than you wanted to read today but it does seem to be encouraging me to work on decluttering the office area. I’m going to order a bed with a raising head and foot on it. I’ll be spoiled. 8)

For now I’m going to find something to eat since I missed breakfast and decide what to cook for tonight.

Yesterday was a self fulfilling prophecy. We were both home and I pretty much did nothing! Too lethargic to even pop back here.

And this morning I repeated that by waiting until Hubby left to get busy.

I do want to change this.

I did attempt to use scrubby yarn to crochet a scrubby. Hopeless! Google brought me suggestions along the line of 1. Carry it to Bin 2. Bin it!

Bama, I hope things are going better.
I can relate. A bottle of water slipped out of my hand as I was putting it in fridge. Somehow it fell sideways, knocked a shelf off the door. The shelf broke! Luckily no fire and luckily none of the condiments broke open. (In the past I've had a scary kitchen fire)
Wow! A lot of pets. I just have one ferrel cat. Trapped and neutered. He has learned to use the cat door into the garage so I'm happy he's got a bed for winter.

Doggedly, helion, Listening to Hubby's comments during Hudson and Rex can be annoying entertaining. The people are only there because Rex can't open door handles

Hi, all. I am late to the party, so I'm just going to jump in where I am. Bama, that does sound overwhelming! Any progress you make is good progress. That is what I am telling myself. I am also telling myself that the only reason my apartment seems so overwhelming is that I am living inside my own closet, and nobody's closet looks spacious and decorated, LOL. I did make progress on putting away things from the trip. But there's still enough there that it is blocking the drying rack from being set up. We have thunderstorms forecast, so I can't to try sneak the drying rack out onto the balcony. Plus we have a new building manager with his mark to make, so don't poke the bear. (We are not allowed to put laundry out on the balcony.) There's a lot where there is no Away To Put, but if I can get it reduced to the point where it all fits on one cart, then I can get the drying rack set up. There's the load of wet towels left over from yesterday's surprise floor washing that must be washed today before it moulds.

trissie, thank you for starting us off. You have got me wanting to find a free audiobook of The Winter's Tale. I used to have it on tape, and it was a favourite.

Gma, I hope that your dmother continues to improve in the hospital.

Paigealle, I have to agree with your assessment of Hudson and Rex, LOL. It's not as bad as the movie Cats And Dogs, where the good guys people are so bland that I tend to fast forward through their parts to get back to the animal puppets.
