Fyi....if anyone is intending to purchase men's hoodie sweatshirts, there are several good buys on a-river. I went to get some for DS17 and was surprised at the price (less than $10). Some options said 39% below normal price. These were Hanes, Guldan, and fruit-of-loom
brands.

Noting a sad moment in DH abilities. He has always been proactive in changing the clocks. This is the first time in our marriage that I am doing it. We discussed which clocks need to be changed but he made no effort to do them which clued me in that he doesn't know how to do it. This is a HUGE red flag to me in the change of his mental abilities.

hello - I had the house to myself (and mom sleeping) - it was lovely - the Sunday helper went for christmas shopping and lunch - mom won't be up for a while.
helper took mom on a mile and half walk - it's chilly but mom loved it and the fresh air was lovely for her - she said hi to people along the way.
I am thinking of hiring a car to take us to the hills/woods while the colors are stunning and then going to b & N -
dd younger is at man trailing - dog finds people in hidden spaces
dd older is feeling a bit better - salmonella hit her hard.

hi d lady thanks for sharing the gift of idea of the sweatshirt on sale!

I've been down a genealogy rabbit hole but I'm continuing my gentle discussion with this guy on FamilySearch. Just asked him if he wouldn't rather read a pension file and make decisions on his own? lol.

I'm breaking to reconcile the HOA bank accounts. Not going to pull out papers and filing today. I think dh and I are going to walk up to an open house in our neighborhood. We're not looking to move, but this floor plan is an earlier version of ours. We just want to walk through it. I think he's bored but it's his own fault.

I have a quiet week until the next round of houseguests arrive on Friday. Dd will be in very late - she's flying to ATL and taking an shuttle here. The friend of dh's is traveling by car and we don't know when he'll get it. He has a yahrzeit (anniversary of a family death) and wanted to go to services but wasn't sure if he'd be here in time. He tends toward conservative/orthodox. Dh will probably drop him off at Chabad.

So I need to reboot guest bedroom and upstairs bath. Dcleaning lady will be here on Thursday so as long as I have sheets clean she will make it up. i think dfriends stripped the bed but I told them not to bring it down - don't want it in the way in my small laundry room until I'm ready to deal with it. But I can't forget.

And later...the open house up the street was cancelled. We walked up, talked to a couple of neighbors there, and came back. Dfdriend M was walking R uby so I got Millie and we walked a lap together. So walking the dog is done for the afternoon already.

I took down all the halloween stuff and put up what little thanksgiving we have.
I saw some things at the craft show for thanksgiving but I promised myself not to bring things in until I feel comfortable in the house.

I went to a celebration of life this afternoon. She was in my Monday morning group. Such a sweet lady. Soft spoken and so nice. She is missed. Her husband is in his 90's.

Stopped at a few places on my way home Two grocery stores. The parking lots were full at both places, yet the stores seemed empty. Pantry is almost well stocked. After all the shopping I did in the past few days, I STILL need to go to Walmart for cat litter and cat food and cat treats. Plus I am down to 3 rolls of paper towels, so I might have to go back to Cost co.

Dh really fussed with the one digital clock he resets. The oven and microwave are now done. I did my car and I still need to do the truck.

Dh loved the apple pie. It looked so good when I took it out of the oven. I bought the ready made Pills bury crusts that just need to be unrolled after you take them out of their box that has been in the fridge since I bought it. The "best before" date is next week.

We are having bubble and squeak for supper from last night's left overs.

Starting at 5 p.m. I had all 3 cats come into the pantry/office to come up beside my chair and meow at me. Considering that they probably think I'm an hour late feeding them, I was happy to feed them at their "regular" time.

Dh isn't hungry because he had a late lunch. Supper is ready.

bubble and squeak
was I the only one that must look this dish up? It sounds like something I would love.

I was surprised by how crowded Sam's was—it was packed. Normally, I would have left because of the crowd, but since my primary goal was waiting an hour for DD14 to get done, it turned out to be a convenient spot. I used the Scan & Go app, so I didn’t have to wait in those incredibly long lines to check out. After spending $209 on pantry supplies, I’d say it was an hour well spent.

6 p.m., and it's already dark outside. Ugh!
