I laughed out loud when I saw today's title Kitty! I didn't know a tuxedo cat was a cat color variety! And I hadn't connected the dots on all those famous tuxedo cats! Thank you for such an informative - and personal - opening today. :) -Yes, the window washers typically do inside as well as outside - at least the ones we hire. This is a new-to-us company, so we'll see how they do. The company was trying to engage didn't answer their phone very quickly, so dh went ahead and hired this one.
I hope the girls can find clothes they like without any drama, trissie. Yep - sounds like a regular day for you.
Smile, the trustee is actually much younger than I am with kids still in high school. She is not a family member - by design. My mom trusted few people, especially with the farmland. My parents put a local KS branch of a large national bank in charge of administering the trust; the trustee is an employee of this bank. I've been able to work with her quite well over the years; I think sometimes she gets busy -- not sure with what -- and kinda disappears.
((Bama)), I hear you on your new friend. That seems like a super long conversation; did she ask about you? Or was it kind of one-sided in terms of your emotional energy? Asking you to help organize the stuff in her 3 sheds is a huge ask for a non-family member and a new friend. Goodness - do you even have time to do that? Could you say "no" or set limits? There are companies you can hire that will help you do that. A HS friend of mine does that exact job in IL. You have such a soft heart for others, which we love to see -- but we also want you to be joyful and thriving!! And I hear you on taking time with kids when you can. My dd30 is in Florida visiting a friend, so she won't be here for Thanksgiving at all, but dd27 will be. I'm hoping for a zoom call with ds, F, and baby I. Maybe dd30 too.

It is another gray day. It's supposed to warm up to 50F, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the sun.

Skippable: My weight has been trending upward every day this week, which I find discouraging because I've also been eating pretty well this week, close to my points - even under points the last 2 days. Maybe this is previous bad days of eating finally catching up with me? I'm heading into the holidays, and I'd really like to be lower. . .Plus, I think that would be good for my back and probably help me get out running again more quickly. I weigh at the same time every day. I know what to do -- I just need to keep doing it and be consistent.

helia, are you keeping properly hydrated? When the body does not get enough, it actually hogs anything it gets, which results in higher number on the scale!

Good morning ~ kitty ~ trissie ~ Cathy ~ helia ~ and all incoming.

Bama ~ I find that I'm a lot more clear headed and objective going through someone else's things other than my own. I helped someone several years back who was a hoarder. Omg... it was bad. Her 18-year-old daughter had never seen the refrigerator cleaned out. There were things under the microwave in the kitchen counter that I won't even talk about. Yep... that bad. Her desire was to host her family for Thanksgiving. I went over once a week for an afternoon. It took us a couple of months, but we got her kitchen/living/dining and a spare bedroom all cleaned out. I'm not sure how I would've fared if we had done it all in one fell swoop, but once a week worked out very well.

Met with a church friend at Panera for coffee after the townhouse visit yesterday. It was nice, not sure if I've ever been on a solo social visit with her before. Got up a little late, but not too bad. I think I'm feeling better from my gym visits this week, so I'm going to try and keep it up. Maybe I'll feel even better! G will be home late afternoon/early evening if flights go well.

Today's short list:
• Gym
• Errands:
--Townhouse to solidify choices
--Meijer returns
--bank: got a check from the state for unreclaimed money. Okay.. I'll take it! It was $164!
--return samples - or keep them for G to see?
--laundry
-- bedding
--general house spiffiness

oo.. busy day.. I'd better get going! Off to flybys!

Good morning, Freddie! How nice to be appreciated. What I posted about Freddie Wednesday:
Kittykatt, I hope Freddie has a very laid-back and calm day tomorrow! He has no patience with Paparazzi - they don't appreciate his aura.

Also, good morning, Sylvester, who is also blessed with housemate cats.

Nice to learn that there was a lovely retirement destination for the tuxedo who served at Whitehall.

Here, our one and only Tobias is a tuxedo, too. Kittykatt, everyone says of him that he is so soft. Do you think that is also a trait? I wonder. Dd-now-27 named him for a Christian martyr after dstepson first called him "Lucifer" when first rescued, because of that teeth-baring, hissing hysteria thing. Dd was having none of her brother's opinion, and had Tobias purring to her in no time.

☀️Good morning, Glories!😎

Love the title, kittykatt! I’m sure Freddie is appropriately pleased and handling the fame in his own way. Much love to him and all the tuxedos. Our Tux is a tuxedo, we weren’t very original with his name lol. He looked like Yoda as a baby but the girls, thankfully, didn’t let me name him Yoda.

Trissie, mojo queen, good luck with all of your daily goals.

Hi Cathy, it’s always nice to chat with a fellow cat lover/she.

Helia, I totally relate to the weight gain, I gained 15 lbs after my mom passed and in the past 2 months have gained another 8. Nothing has changed other than me trying to be healthier, I’m moving more, so maybe it’s a hormonal/aging thing for me? Idk but I’m so over it. Not saying that is what is going on with you, now I’m rambling lol.

Smile, yay on hubby coming home and unexpected money!

Hi Harriet! I’m sure Tobias appreciates not being called Lucifer lol. Our Tux is short haired, smooth so not very soft, maybe more silky? Although his belly is soft and furry and he’s very cuddly in his old age.

Thank you all who have kind words and thoughts for my situation. Prayers appreciated. I slept very well after I got all of that out of my head. L is very nice and funny, not imposing at all, her house is very clean, she has a friend come clean once a week, who visits, decorates, cooks for that day sometimes… I would probably say she’s a hoarder bc every wall is lined with bookshelves full of collectibles but it’s all very organized and clean. It’s more a hobby out of boredom since she doesn’t get out a lot besides going to church on Sundays. She started the local auction which is women only, mostly seniors, so you can imagine the type of things they offer up, usually kitchen or decor items. She has tons of china, knows names of collectibles I’m not familiar with but claims they are very valuable. I’ve been in one shed to help her get her fall decor out and it’s all very neat and organized. She wants me to help with her bath situation but it’s a tiny bathroom with a tub, not much room for a shower chair. She really needs to get the tub taken out, install a walk in shower, and put a chair in, I told her to tell her boys to get her that for Christmas, but we will have to work with what we’ve got for now. We just went through all the family stuff with my mom and dh’s mom, getting siblings to participate, etc so I totally understand her situation and it makes me sad. My brothers didn’t step up like I thought they should and Ms L is a widow with 3 sons who are the same way although 2 live on the same main road as she does, along with grandkids and great grandkids. I’ve never met any of them so can’t really say how they feel. They do stuff for her but it’s more of an as needed thing, she has to ask for something and they oblige, while she wants a stop by and visit occasionally. I have time to help, just need to be more organized and less “winging it” so I’ll have to work on that. It does keep me from dwelling on dh who seems to be shaking a little more, less control of his left hand, not constant but occasionally. He’s still able to work and be independent so I’m not rushing his caregiving any time soon.

Today starts a new challenge on my game that comes around once a month so that is my inspiration to work, I’ll work in areas and treat myself to game time after each round.

Done:
Bible
Weigh

Do:
Spot clean rug and hallway floor (thanks Tux)
Feed inside animals
Feed dh and me - I told him it’s oatmeal and he groaned so I take that as agreement
Play til toth
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

CathyS! Hello! I forgot to greet you earlier. It looks like Sylvester is in good company here.
Sounds like dd27 is a cat whisperer, Harriet! So true it seems about Freddie not liking the paparazzi. LOL! :D
trissie, that's a very good point. I am actively trying to drink more water; I have that "dehydrated" taste in my mouth. I know that I don't naturally feel thirsty when I should.
Amish honey sounds great, L Ann.
Bama, you have good thoughts on your friend as do others here. I've known my share of manipulative people in my life, and I just wouldn't want that to happen to you, but it sounds like that's not the situation.
Happy to hear that the gym visits are helping you feel better, Smile. I need to keep it up until I can run again.

The window washers are here. It's a father-son duo; very friendly and very fast.

Harriet ~ haha! well said! Good on your daughter!
helia ~ I'm not good at drinking water on my own. Ever since I had to be on "dry mouth" meds for my jaw surgery, I have a water schedule - a pint of water every 2 1/2 hours. Just chugging it is the way to go.
Hi, L.Ann! Hope dd is doing okay with the covid.
Bama ~ sounds like you've got a good handle on your friend's situation. Guys DO need more direction when it comes to things we need. Maybe you could encourage her to be more vocal. Nobody wants to say, "come visit me" but maybe they need to hear it. Prayers for dh.

Back from the gym. Downed a couple of grapefruit. Man, that was good! Nature's sunshine gold. Do I shower first or house stuff first? I think I'll shower. If I don't - there IS a chance I might not till tonight. so.. off I go to flybys!
