☀️Good morning!

Page 2 and it’s barely 7am here!

(((Gma))), prayers for safe travels. Are you staying awhile? That’s a long drive for you. Things must feel so different this year. I feel for you as you adjust to a new normal.

Thanks for the start, kittykatt. It’s so interesting to learn that Siamese cats looked different originally. I don’t really care for breeders changing things up in animals, it seems to always cause health difficulties of some sort. Geraniums are usually hardy, aren’t they? Hoping yours survived the frost. Hope you find the phone.

Trissie, kids! That’s so odd about the trains, there’s nothing like complicating things for parents of multiple children. I had to lol at the wardrobe comments. Dd2 wore hoodies in all seasons until maybe her second year at college, even in the middle of summer heat. Now she prefers those fitted cropped tops and I’m wondering what happened to my sweet little girl. She’s still sweet but not sure I approve of some clothing choices.

Smile, I woke up early too! Twinning! Hope the riding lessons go well. I enjoyed when our girls took them. It’s a good thing to feel comfortable with animals of all sizes while they’re young, being cautious of course.

Hi LAnn. It’s good that dd isn’t being affected much by the covid.

I’m up, let the dogs out and back in, played my game, and al of a sudden I’m starving. I think I’ll do my Bible time and then bug dh to take me out to breakfast. Is he awake? No. Will he be? Yes.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Trissie, that is so true! (and a very pragmatic way of looking at things). I have noticed though that teen fashions.do seems to change relatively quickly, so there's always hope! :D

Enjoy Li'l H time, Smilelee! I've done a factory reset on one of my old phones, and it's now allegedly copying all the apps across from my current phone, although it seems to be prioritising a load of games that I uninstalled when I first got it, (I spend too much time online anyway , the last thing I need is ges to distract me further !) and some stuff that I've never seen in my life before, so I'm not really holding out hopes that this will work. However, as DH has left the contents of the cupboard all over the spare room bed, I'm going to have a "proper" look to see if I can find his old phone. I'm also going to have a look in the boot of the car, as I'm sure I've seen an old phone there ...

I'm glad DD is feeling better, L.Ann!

Bama, I agree about changing animals' shapes - I much prefer the look of the "traditional" Siamese. Over here we have huge problems with the brachycephalic breeds of dogs as they often have very serious breathing problems. The breeders are finally realising that this is a very Bad Idea.

I've written those three birthday cards and sent them out with DH for him to post when be brought the car back (apparently they went to a toy fair this morning, and they're going to visit a pub via bus? train? this afternoon.) I've also washed DH's jumper that he's been wearing all week and really needs to be clean before he wears it to church tomorrow! The first load of towels are in the washing machine. Next I'm going to quickly look for DH's old phone among the detritus on the spare room bed, and then go through the boot of the car as the rain is easing off.

L.Ann ~ glad DD is doing well.
Bama ~ It's been sweet watching her grow more and more comfortable with the horses. She likes to go back with the trainer and put all the tack away. We need to do a helmet hunt online tomorrow when she's here. Those "loaners" at the barn are filthy. I wouldn't want to put them on MY head. *shudder* But the kids don't care. Today - gotta remember carrot treats for the horse afterwards. I noticed a couple of the girls doing that last time we were there. Breakfast out sounds good!
kitty ~ sounds like you have a plan going. Good luck on finding the phone.

I'm s2s. G is up, not feeling too great, so he's a little grumpy. :D
Going to make a quick, short grocery list, and then head out.

Morning all. My so called siamese is definitely a girl of her own with many non siamese traits cause she's mixed who knows what. I don't have a clue where she got her color with a full on long haired Grey as a sister. I think her mom was Grey too. Whatever mix the tomcat had would be interesting cause if you look for it she has hints of tabby stripes.

Gma safe travels. I imagine you have not traveled far for a while. Blessings on your family time.

Trissie the girls will grow out of that stage eventually. I'm sure the photos will be beautiful. My girl was a little like that. Not so much baggy. She was pretty conservative and had only a few colors. Lots of Grey and blue and such. And to catch her in pink or red or bright was only a dream. Till she left home. She went with one dress to her name and I feel like now she has more dresses in all kinds than pants in her closet. And lots of color. She's become a very stylish girl that still likes her comfy home clothes too.

Glad dd32 is good now lann.

Well what do I get to today. It's the big Christmas craft fair. So I will probably putter around cleaning up and such until we're ready for that. Ds and ddil are going and ds16 will come too. It's at his school. He talks of having a quick look and then going to the track to run for a bit. Now that the store is in full festive decor I maybe will start in my house too? Maybe not the tree yet but I do want to fix up the plants and get out some of the decor. Music prep. I think I'm going to repot a couple plants. Detail dusting and all the dead leaves. Coleus are messy.

Then we'll see what comes of the rest. For now I think I'm going to crochet for a bit and then shower when dh leaves.

Smilelee, I've had a thorough search of the car boot, as the rain temporarily eased off, and I found a phone *case* but no phone. At least I know now! I'm going to have 15 minutes sorting through the "stuff" on the spare room bed, then 30 in the bedroom, so at least I do *something* there today, and then 30 on the sitting room. Rinse and repeat!

Enjoy the craft fair, Laura!

Wow, Smile, I can't believe Li'l H is big enough for riding lessons! Enjoy time at the stables if you're going with her. I took riding lessons in that area when I was in high school at a stable out toward H Lake. I rode hunt seat so I could get into jumping, which I loved! I always had my own riding hat. I may still have my riding pants and boots somewhere, not that I would fit into the riding pants anymore. LOL! I had my own crop as well, but I think I got rid of it. I hope G is OK. Maybe the travels yesterday were hard on his body.
WTG on the birthday cards, Kitty! Of course, it's Siamese today! As a child, I always admired them. We could never have a cat because my mom had a strong allergy to them.
Enjoy breakfast out with dh, Bama! WTG getting up early!
WTG tackling the floor, trissie. And that is strange about the 2 drop offs for the same train, but it sounds like there was some reason for it. I wonder how many parents had to do that?
Enjoy the crochet time, Lauralind.
Gma, that's a lot of driving! Be safe. Are you leaving today?
Glad DD32 is feeling OK, L Ann.

I'm up late because I can be! I think I slept a good 9 hours. I don't know why I've been so tired lately. Anyhow, I'm up late - but drinking coffee and admiring the sun shining through our very clean windows. Even dh has exclaimed several times on what a good job they did. This company is a keeper!

I didn't get back her yesterday. After payroll, I chatted with AC for a short bit. We got a tentative date on our calendars for a weekend away. I got home after 4 pm and didn't do much. I'm struggling with losing the late afternoon hours with this teaching schedule. I get home from work tired around 4 pm. I take time to decompress - and that time ends up growing to 5:30 - when I need to start dinner. Anyhow, I got wrapped into pics of baby I sent by friend CK who is visiting them now. Also, the laughing farting unicorn arrived! I tried it out - and had to make my own video to share. LOL!! Thank you trissie! Everyone thinks dniece will love it. 6:20, dh and I headed to the restaurant for dinner with the Os. After dinner, dh and I went to a favorite Yemeni coffee shop for coffee. We got home at 9:45 - and I was tired and socialized out.

Today: Dh and I are going back to one store to order the dining room chairs we liked best. I'm having lunch at dd27's place -- I'm bringing my own food to control the calories, but dd27 wants me to try one of her homemade buns. Of course! (She does amazing things with gluten free baking; many people have told her she should open a gluten free bakery/ restaurant. For some strange reason, there's not one in this city.) We are going to spend some time crafting together after lunch = knitting for me. I also need to go to the gym for some cardio. The elliptical does do something for me; after 35 minutes I have a little sweat, and I think my heart rate is up a bit. Then, there are the Memorial thankk you cards + continuing to wash and process Mom's stuff and some payroll. Dinner will be leftover quinoa over rice + green salad.

A Christmas craft fair sounds so nice, lauralind!
Smile*Lee, 3am is VERY early! Me, I am more likely to be STILL up than ALREADY up, but I totally get the not sleeping thing. Is there a nap possibility in your future?
L.Ann, glad DD is not having a bad case of covid!
Smile*Lee, well, I'd rather not comment on teen couture, as I do remember having a purple era (remember the time when glossy leggings were a thing? Yikes! :-) )
helia, the reason is that one of the adult leaders lives in town A, and is not too relaxed about things, so insists on kids coming to train station in town A. However, the kids who live in town B, which is the official seat of this scout chapter, can get on the train there and do not have to travel, whereas the ones that live in other villages near those towns and their parents are driving them anyways, are requested to be taken to town A. Today, this person was in charge of the girls' group. The other leader lives in town B and is completely cool about everything, so it usually is not an issue, but today this other person was in charge of boys' group and didn't want to meddle in the first person's decisions. There was two sets of parents which ended up with this problem, but we didn't coordianate this morning and they had other plans for the afternoon, so we did four rides. We have two cars, so other than the gas and time, it wasn't such a hardship...
kittykatt, I see you're busy with laundry!

I wish I could be (busy with laundry, that is, but our washer had decided that blowing the fuses is more fun than washing. We've had it for 7 years and apparently there's something wrong with the electronics which would be a costly repair so not going to attempt that. But that still leaves me with a wet load in the (locked) washer! Just another problem for me to deal with... I really could use a couple good days, but they are harder and harder to come by.

TaDas
- scrub floor under dining table
- clean out food storage shelves in downstairs storage
- snip all the flowers from flowerboxes
- scrub middle of living room floor
- lunch (poor man's chili - heated some baked beans with sliced hotdogs - anyway those beans needed using up, as they were the "chili beans", as somebody very clever in marketing decided that if you sell regular beans and chili beans, their packaging should be exactly the same with a tiny "chili" note on the can, and then somebody also very clever decided to put them right next to the regular beans)
