I was thinking that the sun should be moving south in winter, which is why the global south has summer those months, but then I looked up the winter solstice and realized that the sun is actually on its way back north in January. Those old philosophers knew what they were doing, LOL.
Apropos of nothing, I will just mention that Ottawa's winter festival, Winterlude, starts with a W.

Hello, everyone!

WTG getting those errands done, L.Ann!

Helia, the plumber is a very hard working young man, who has a day job where he is employed as a plumber, and his freelance evening plumbing work. I think he is planning to eventually set up on his own, but for now he is saving as much as he can, in order to have a large deposit when he comes to buy his own house.

I hope the gym was worth all the effort, Smilelee!

Sorry about the frustrating day, Trissie. An inch of snow bringing everything to a halt sounds just like over here!

Dogged, up and coffee'd is definitely a win! I'm writing this with Matilda on my lap, so no one has missed out today.

My main achievements for today - I have a new kitchen tap, Sainsbury's delivered the goodies for parish Christmas lunch, and I have finished decluttering / deep cleaning the bedroom. As a bonus I've wiped out the cupboard under the sink which had to be emptied, and I'm checking we really need everything as I put it back.

So now I can concentrate on Christmas prep. Today I found the Christmas cards and put them all together. They need to go in their box still, but that's on top of the wardrobe, and I need the steps to reach.
