** I did not lose energy today even though I was super busy.
** Got to spend time with lifelong friends from high school that live out of state.
** DS17 received the title around 5pm to the F450 that he just traded the Cummins for last Sunday. Within two hours (by 7pm) he has agreed to trade it for a F250 King Ranch. He has 4 friends here discussing the pro/cons of this trade. All these ridiculous (IMHO) vehicle trades serve a positive purpose because they keep the teens busy, engaged, learning, and out of trouble.

I just watched last week's Boston Blue and at 10 I will watch this week's (if there is one). My dd has been working as part of the behind the camera crew on this series. They are filming most of it in Toronto.

Late night post to check-in --
It's almost 12:30 and I'm about to take a shower and wash my hair so I'll be ready to d2s and get up when dgd sounds the alarm.
She said she was "starving" when she went to bed, but turned down everything I offered her. This, after a 6" Subway sandwich, her chips and part of mine, 2 bowls of ice cream, a pancake/sausage "corndog," a popscicle, AND a can of ravioli. She MUST be having a growth spurt, that's for sure! SMH...
Accomplishments today:
* Christmas cards are ready to be mailed in the morning. (DGD was no help at all on this, but it's done!)
* Tree dmom sent home with me (only 3" tall, pre-lit) has ornaments on it and I plan to go to dmom's tomorrow to find missing ornaments.
-- Dmom has bought (or had me buy) ornaments for dgrands every year since they were born. However, she has sent home to me some of the ones dgrands gave HER with their pictures, etc, through the years. I don't think I am supposed to have these, and probably should take them back to her tomorrow. DS is going out there to hang her wreaths in the window, and I told him I would go with him, and search her tree for the ones that do belong to dgrands. I certainly wish I had put the date on ALL of them.
-- Also, she reports that two of the solar lights are not burning. Sigh. We may have to go to Home Depot next week anyway. Ugh.
* Went to Wmart and I think I have all my Christmas prep purchases completed.
* (One more) Bought a poinsetta for dh's grave and took it out there... then decided that was about the most stupid thing I could do with the weather report for the weekend, so went back and got it and brought it home. I will wait till the weather warms up a little next week before I take it back. We are having temps in the teens this weekend!
Blessings:
* DS called and asked if I wanted to go to local restaurant for seafood gumbo today. I was awake in plenty of time and enjoyed that very much!
* Dmom was feeling well enough to take herself to the beauty shop today, so that's a good sign.
* DGrands liked their new Christmas ornaments from dmom (my selection) for this year, and I wisely put their names and the year on these. I also used my brand new glue gun to repair one of the ones from dmom's collection.
Cathy, I love Boston Blue! That is so neat that your dd is getting to work on this show. I hope Tom Selleck makes a guest appearance at some point. I have been watching Dateline all night tonight, but I have BB on the dvr and I will probably watch it tomorrow.
I am LOL at that whole fish. Yuck. DGS ordered tilapia once in a Mexican restaurant and it was a whole fish like that; eyeball looking up at us. He enjoyed it but ooohhh... I didn't even like sitting beside him! Chinese take-out is a much better option! (IMHO)
I wish I could go to Disney for the holidays. Well, in theory, I would like to go to Disney. As with many things, it is a little better in theory than in practice. Can you share why your dbro has decided maybe never again? It IS awfully expensive. And stressful. Places like that would be much better if one had Elvis Presley's money and could make them shut it down for everyone else and have private access. I don't think even Elvis ever did that at a Disney park!
I did tell dgs tonight that if he turns out to be a good driver in a couple years, we may just take off one day and go to the Biltmore. And Williamsburg. Those are on my bucket list.
So fascinating watching your ds trading vehicles, LadyM. (((Hugs))) for your dneighbor. You were just the right person for her today.
I'm so glad LordM had a nice visit with classmates. That must have been so enjoyable for him!
Nancy, I dressed festively (is that a word) today too. But I look like Sheldon on BBT. I have a short-sleeve green t-shirt with tangled lights all over it, and it says, "It's fine, I'm fine, everything is fine." But it's cold, so I wore it OVER a long sleeve white t-shirt. And jeans. DS showed up in khakis and a green plaid button-down collar shirt. Nine times out of ten, ds would be wearing overalls. SMH.
(((HUGS))) for HRH and you, Harriet. Sorry you two and your dd are under the weather. Take care; I hope everyone feels much better soon!
I hope you aren't coming down with something too, blessed! (((HUGS)))
I hope you had a good day after you got your "help" out of bed and busy, Mystery!
Hope you all have a great Saturday!

LucyLee, I may be wrong, and I hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but I *think* Cathy lives in Canada, so I'm guessing her brother and family live in Canada too,.and won't be visiting the US due to the current government / political situation there. Many of my friends with kids have been to Disneyland Paris, as it's much nearer.and cheaper, but a few have been to Florida. However, they've all said they won't be going to the US again for the foreseeable future, even though they had a great time and loved the people they met. Sad, but, IMHO, understandable.
I've done the Christmas lights outside, and started decorating indoors. Today I hope to finish that, and also do some present wrapping. My shoebox has to go back to church with me tomorrow!

Oh — KittyKatt — got it. I wasn’t even thinking about that. You are probably right. I understand.
Cathy — just ignore that part of my post.
I’m about 12 hours away from Orlando, (driving) and I’ve been to DisneyWorld maybe 4 times — once with my parents soon after it opened in the 70s, and three times with dh and ds, including January 2020 with dgrands.
Like I said. I love the IDEA of everything about it… but then I get there, and it’s so crowded, and so expensive, and it is just too much of a good thing.
