☀️Good morning!

Kittykatt, thank you for the educational start. I didn’t know how marigolds got their name. I hope the email situation ends pleasantly for you. The snoring issue is impossible to evade as it’s a trip and I can’t book 2 rooms so I will just have to “suck it up” bc dh isn’t very helpful since it doesn’t bother him.

(((Trissie and dfamily))), I’m so sorry for your loss and the hard decision you had to make. It’s not an easy call but necessary at a point. 19 is a long life with lots of good memories.

Gma, you’re doing great on the decluttering.

Dogged, I did not get to go to the movie/speaking engagement. How did you like the movie?

I’m up so I need to stay up. The registration for the trip is first come, first serve and I don’t want to miss out. It will be our first vacation in many years and won’t be repeated, at least not any time soon.

MONDAY To Do List:
Sign up for trip and package
Book hotel for dd’s graduation weekend
Book boarding for dogs
Weigh
Water
Bible
Pet chores
Spot clean floors
Wfd? tacos?
Dust
Vacuum
Mop
Glass
Laundry
Walk dogs
Take down Christmas decor, pack decorations, pack tree
Paper, planner - in progress - pick habits, goals, write out bills in date order due, learn something new, fill in past few days.
Read - book club book, Brenda Gantt book (both in progress)
Catch up on BG videos (in progress)
Craft - fake cupcakes - need to find spray
Outside - deal with bottles and jars, prune fig and weed around, fertilize (get dh to fetch fertilizer from shed)
Weekly - mop, water plants
Monthly -clean glass, polish cabinets
Check on lp order for dd2, email says delayed, no update until January sometime
Check for frying pan at moms
Week 3 bathrooms (catch up wk 2 bedrooms?)
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Oh, Bama, I understand. I think there are different types of ear plugs, made from different materials, so you hopefully you'll be able to find something that works for you. The only other humane solution (from your DH's POV!!! ) I can think of, is for you to try a sleep eye mask. This helps your brain to think you're in complete darkness, which may help improve your sleep quality. I hope you manage to get your reservations!

◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕

(( )) trissie and family, sorry for DKitty.

Kittykatt thanks for the start, nice to have a large sekection of tasks to choose from. Wtg dealing with that email first.

Gma, WTG on all the sorting.

Bama, good luck booking your trip.

Lurking from payroll, rainy Monday, managed to bring back to the shop the kids'clothes that didn't fit, so my lunch break was productive at least.

Thank you all for your kind words!

Yay for a productive lunch break, Frenchie!
Bama, my husband is a snorer too. There have been nights when I was threatening him with body (and sometimes life) harm! Never got to it, though :-)
kittykatt, once you DH retires, he wants to get more seriously into that railway thing, doesn't he? That would take him outside of the house a lot!
gma, that's a lot of cards! Just wondering, how much does a post stamp cost? Here it's pretty outrageous and the fewer mail people send, the more expensive the postage!
L.Ann, I have a "squash, zucchini, carrot" themed cookbook pulled out to look for inspiration - this is really the weather for some squash soup!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear kitty, trissie. ((HUGS)) to you and your children. You absolutely made the right decision. So glad you all got to be with her and pet her as she was being sedated. She knew she was loved.
Ooh, so glad you're signing up for a vacation trip, Bama! I'm in favor of vacation travels. 8-) Where will you be going?
Hope your work day is going well, FFB. Is your boss on site today?
WTG getting that troublesome email done, Kitty.
I'll join you grocery shopping today, L Ann. I'm going this afternoon.

It is sunny today! ☀️ 25F (-3.7C) at the moment, but warming up to 35F (+1.7C). Really, this is beautiful weather for mid-January in Michigan!! It will get down to more usual cold temps later this week.

I'm watching a red-bellied woodpecker figure out our bird feeder! He got it! Yes - he's a male according to the pattern of the red on his head. Lots of titmice, finches, and a couple chickadees have stopped by. They come in waves. Dh and I think they travel around the neighborhood in little flocks, stopping by all the various feeders in rotation.

Yesterday: It is ironic how Sundays have become the busiest day of my week. We were out from 10:10 - 12:25 to visit a church. Then, CG2 arrived on time at 3:30. From that point until 8 pm, we were hosting as the Cs and the girls arrived at 6, just as CG2 was ending. Fortunately, M is very helpful heating up food so we actually have something to eat at 6 as we were saying good bye to CG2 friends. And I s/sed the main bathroom and wiped down kitchen and bathroom counters with stone spray cleaner, so hopefully they're more clean this morning.

Today: NOTHING on the calendar! But lots of things that need to be done. Exercise will be a priority. I will get out there and jog in this beautiful day! I'm also meeting the girls at the gym, mainly to sit in the hot tub. LOL! This afternoon, I'd like to get the weekly grocery shopping done. Going every day like I did last week is not very efficient and frustrating to me. I've gotten the Tuesday dinner menu from dh; it sounds like it may just be dh, myself, M, and maybe one of the girls. Not too large. I also need to get the GGT spreadsheet done today. I can also work on those items that have been sitting on my lists for day/ weeks.

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- reclaim kitchen

Later:
- make bed
- dress to jog
- lights in dryer: fold and p/a
- park: jog (go to entrance near gym)
- gym: maybe swim and sit in the hot tub with the girls
- s2s and self care
- lunch
- grocery list
- WF
- Kroger (order?)
- put away all groceries
- payroll: finish GGT spreadsheet
- email reply to niece's mother
- make appt. with foot doctor
- read for fun
- duolingo
- update health apps
- dinner: pasta, homemade tomato sauce, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- write 1 hour?
- 1 lol w d f pa?
- bank to deposit tiny check?
- other things?

Kittykatt, thank you for understanding. I hope it’s not because you’ve experienced the same lol.
Dh’s sneezes are so loud it sounds like a pew pew going off. Everything he does is so noisy. :P

Thanks, FFB. I dread having to return things so I’m glad that isn’t on my to do list.

Hi LAnn. Spaghetti sounds good.

Trissie, I’m glad you haven’t gotten around to “harming” dh too. Yet. ;)

Helia, hope you add some fun to your free calendar day. I enjoy watching the birds too. And it’s free cat tv.
It’s an Alaskan cruise in August.

Thank you kitkat. Hope you’re having a great day.

Morning all. Wow I'm almost wondering if I'm going to land on page 3. Busy Monday morning. Hi all.

Trissie so sorry about kitty. We too had to put 20 year old Velcro down. Oh man how many years ago? Like 8 maybe. They are definitely part of the family when they make it that long.

I guess I've had a successful weekend. Though somehow I didn't get here after Saturday morning. I got up and got started after and the new carpet machine worked really well. The rug looks so much better. But it sure took most of the day. Oh and then just after I started I turned around and noticed my big about 30 inch tall cactus decided it was going to fall. Wilted itself into a curve. I texted my sister. We decided to lift it out of the pot and I apparently had quite damp soil. Oops 😬. Between that and we were at ds and ddil place quite a bit. Playing with dgs . He's absolutely precious 💖.

Church was good yesterday and I did nothing productive other than putting furniture back in place and groceries on the way home. And band.

Who said something about squash soup? Ds tried his hand at it yesterday. He actually did a really good job. Except it's not one dh is willing to try. Only thing it was almost baby food thick. Need to thin it out a bit.

I should get up and do a few things yet before work. This living room is in really good shape atm. Except I should clean the tables. Declutter a bunch of other flat surfaces. And it will be much better in here.

kitkat, what do you mean by "finish laundry pile" - I didn't know that was actually possible!
oh, a free calendar, helia - though I know it will fill up soon for ya! :-)
Bama, there's been some "I hate you!"s while I vacate the bedroom to sleep on the sofa, but so far no bodily harm :-)
lauralind, no page 3 for you! maybe I will be the queen? :-) ETA: nope, me neither! :-)

We got another 2 inches of snow and severe weather warning asking people to stay off the roads if possible after 4pm. So I called DBD's speech therapits if we could switch our 4:30 apt to online but she prefers to reschedule because that means she can leave earlier and get home before things get really bad. Works fine for me - DBD's cooperation today is far from guaranteed, and I am very glad to not have to get on the road!
