Trying for forward progress here, I don't want to admit to dh that I could do a lot of this at home. OTOH, uninterrupted and unlimited time to do something I love is a luxury and it's good for me. He's anxious for me to get home. I could research here all day tomorrow also...the library is open. (Usually closed on Saturdays except for one a month.)

Today dh was going with neighbor couple to the Jack Daniels distillery. My dfriend M - Ruby's mom - will take care of Millie for him.

I was up in the nite at 3 ish / went back to bed ...
talked with dsis and watched deer across the st. in back yard of the house there.
Did a bit of knitting. am stuff journals etc.

Did 45 min. on the rose bush bush pruning.
Came in for a break one more pile to deal with maybe after trash day
then there will be room for it to go in the can. Did the pick up.

Sunny day here yea!
Frosted last nite. 31* / 62* F today's temps.

I need to pick up some stuff I used in the back yard.
Rest and walk after it warms up some.
I nearly have my a.m. exercise quota in yea!

Walked.
Moved plants I potted up yesterday.
DD called.
Got my steps in for today.

Home from a successful trip to the city to get CPAP resolved. I called and told them our situation, and they agreed to work us in between their appointments. We dropped the CPAP off for them to troubleshoot and they told us to come back in 3 hours. It was a PITB to waste 3 hours in the city, but eventually the time passed and we accomplished our mission.

Skippable CPAP chatter -
Insurance pays for DH CPAP machine every 5 years. This one was purchased June 2022 so it is out of the 2 year warranty and insurance won't pay for another one until June 2027.
Our options were....
** Purchase new CPAP at cost of $1800 with 2 year warranty
** Purchase used CPAP at cost of $900 with 30 day warranty
** They send DH CPAP to factory for repair with estimated cost of $300 but it takes 6-8 weeks. They will loan us a refurbished & sanitized CPAP while his is being repaired. Loan = zero cost.
We went with the factory repair & loan option.

your ds17 seems so independent. Has he already graduated HS or gotten his GED

DS17 is still in homeschool status until May, but he has finished all the state required classes. He will graduate high school with transcript and diploma. No GED necessary. DS17 has always been eager to learn life skills and put them into action. As he developed life skills, his confidence and independence grew.

Got the patio set up this afternoon.
Glad for that getting done.
Some grass clipping happened.

All that is left is to get mower fuel & get it going to mow not today.
The gathering rain for the day that's planned, several are not able to make it.
I'm okay with that as it was a great motivator to get going on the rest of the stuff outside.
It was a nice day and got my mind off it being LH birth-date too.
The plan may work for other later time will tell.
Now I can enjoy my outdoor space have a great sit down after working on the yd. & do my journaling,
qt and reading as it's warms up later on in the season too. Glad for a good attitude about it.
Some have writing gardens too!

Laundry is being done. Dishwasher is full and will be ready to go after the laundry is done.

Last night's pan got washed while I was making supper tonight.

I made fajitas but I only had taco seasoning, so it was a mixed up "Mexican" night. I also used up the leftover rice for "Authentic Mexican rice" according to allrecipes website. I just need to put some tomato sauce and spices in with the rice and heat it all up. I really enjoyed the rice. Dh had most of the very small steak that we bought specifically for fajitas.


One of the ladies at the Friday afternoon group shared that she had very recently gotten diagnosed with Cancer and will be undergoing surgery in 2 weeks. She is one of my favourite women to spend time with. She said she expects to be back in 6-8 weeks.

Dmom and I went to a funeral today. We were a little bit surprised, happily so, to find that one of the preachers was the preacher who baptized me and helped with my dad's funeral, and the other was a classmate & longtime friend of ds'.
After we got home to dmom's, she just wanted to lie down and rest, so I did not stick around to help her with the paperwork that was all over her kitchen table. Apparently I needed to rest too, because I came home and slept two hours on the couch. I had a bowl of chicken stew for supper -- the last of my Labor Day stash.

It has been kinda a long week, with the dgrands coming and going, and next week will be more of the same -- kids will be back in school, but we will be having Holy Week services at church at noon every day, and at least for Monday & Wednesday, I will need to go early to help with prep for lunch after the services. Monday and Tuesday, DGD will be having ballgames, and DGS says he has an after-school Scholars' Bowl competition Monday (which will conflict with dgd's game, so I may be called on for one or the other. I wish I could go to both, of course.
Anyway, if I'm AWOL for a little longer, y'all will know I"m just having to get up like a regular person and when I get home, I'll be falling asleep.
