Morning all. I've cuop a few few days here and there . To keep up a little with your comings and goings. Watching as some places become spring and some seem cold still. Must be dreaming of planting with all the garden tool topics. Our snow is almost gone up top yard at least. A little left in the back. But poor dd and dsil and father in law. Extremely snowy up there yet. It still looks like midwinter with a couple feet of snow left.. mid April. Ugh

We were away the last week of March. A lovely time with the whole family. Ds and ddil came and stayed at dd place. We stayed with fil and went back and forth giving the 2 couples a chance to get to know each other. And include fil more. Its hard he's almost an hour from dd. So close yet he isn't up to driving much and getting out. He is 84. We did games. Shopping. Cooking. Family time. Helped dd and dsil pick out a new car for their growing family. And most of all just Watching Lil j get to know his auntie and uncle and great grandfather. Other uncles came too for short stretches. It was so good.

Back home... back to work. Back to life. Dad is renovating. Changing out flooring in his house. We tried to tell him not to bother but to no avail. Get that done and I can go do a little cleaning. He canceled that help. Mom is still ok. Slowly losing strength and little bits of decline. But still ok.

I've been doing extra music. Next week is festival of the arts that I have not been involved in since high school. Band is playing. 3 songs. Then I agreed to accompany the choir with a descant flute part for one song. Oh and we had a baptism again at church. 5 people. And now a coming funeral. This weekend which means tech. Baking something. And a freezer meal for the man and his special needs son.

What did I get myself into... next week could be out almost every night. Today is bible study. I said no to a trip to the city with dad. Too much. I need to do some laundry of couch covers today... 🐈. And just general straighten. And music prep. And some downtime.

Anyway I was Mia for a while now I have left you a novel... 😬

Going to go shower and then make a list.

We're weather sisters today, kittykatt! Chilly start and warm and sunny afternoon!
oh my, helia, you house is like a walk-through! does it still feel like a home with so many visitors all the time?
night night, Bama!

Home from work. 4:45pm, not good, but not terrible either, to quote the famous Chernobyl line. I asked AI to give me some motivational quotes for getting up and getting going, but the only answer I got was "oops, something went wrong with that", so now I don't know - am I doomed to inaction, or should i just find my own way as always? :-)

TaDas
- morning madness
- day at work, very busy
- take DS14's watch to repair place
- pick up DBD from school
- see DBD off for her scout session

ToDos

Do I look refreshed? I feel like I am anyway. :P

Trissie, lol at walk through house, I’m picturing those doors that revolve as people go through at a big store. I was always afraid I’d get stuck in one when I was a child. You’re in a chipper mood today. :) Lol at AI not understanding.

LAnn, hope dd feels better and the weather is enjoyable.

Laura, welcome back! Family time is so important, especially the seniors and the youngest of the group.

Kitkat, did you say what color pansies you got? I’ve always been partial to the blues and purples. Enjoying your new washer?

Helia, hope you’re wide awake now and preparing to enjoy a quiet evening. Yay to no cooking. I’ve been doing very simple meals with no fuss.

Kittykatt, love the Walt Whitman shem. I totally understand the missed spots that suddenly glare and need attention.

On wheelbarrows, one time we were helping daunt with her yard and she rolled out this thing she called a wheelbarrow. My grandfather had made his own, all out of wood, even the wheel, with a metal strip around it. I thought it was so cool I got it later. I grew up in the city only understood store bought goods back then. Makes me appreciate it all the more now. They took very good care of their things so it’s in very good shape.

Bama, I got totally sidetracked researching various kinds of wheelbarrows :-) anyway, I always considered them standard garden equipment, but then again, I grew around houses where there were still (re)construction works going on, so they's be handy. We have a metal one too - currently full of compost :-)

TaDas
- midday routine
- clean kitchen window and install insect screen
- start dinner
- flip laundry to dryer
- pick up DS from scout session
- drop of recyclings and green waste

ToDos
- afternoon routine
- evening routine
- 15 on laundry

bama, a hand made wooden wheelbarrow - what a treasure! and a great keeper of a good memory.
trissie, kittykat, seems like a good week to think about gardening - but we are still quite cold here, like several others here.
helia, I htink we are very much weather sisters here - same lows, same highs. Same wind? The sun feels nice when the wind isn't blowing - but it's blowing most of the time.
laurlind, music is so healing. I am happy you have some time for it. How wonderful to have multi generations together! Happy memories.
L.ann, I hope dd33 is able to manage whatever has feeling low today. It's such a struggle for both of you.

I was up half the night reading the book we are supposed to read for church, so am short on sleep, and therefore energy. I have about 50 pages to go.
Did have nice coffee out with dfLR. We haven't had coffee since Christmas. It was good to catch up. Her Mom is in memory care.
A walk may do me good - outside, sunshine. I can wear a coat.

Hello everyone!

Trissie, LOL at AI not understanding. (Why am I not surprised?!)

I hope DD feels better soon,.L.Ann

Enjoy your no cooking evening, Helia!

How lovely to have your grandfather 's handmade wheelbarrow, Bama!

Enjoy the sunshine, Gma!

Today was absolutely beautiful : 24C /75F and sunny. I had a lovely walk through the valley park, and even remembered to take the latest bag of donations with me to the charity bank. I then spent some time in my garden before tackling the kitchen. DH brought pizza home for supper, so that was easy. BTW, he didn't notice the cladding!!!
