Re: Wheelbarrow Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
A wheelbarrow is a small hand-propelled load-bearing vehicle, usually with just one wheel, designed to be pushed and guided by a single person using two handles at the rear. The term "wheelbarrow" is made of two words: "wheel" and "barrow." "Barrow" is a derivation of the Old English "barew" which was a device used for carrying loads.
The wheelbarrow is designed to distribute the weight of its load between the wheel and the operator, so enabling the convenient carriage of heavier and bulkier loads than would be possible were the weight carried entirely by the operator. As such it is a second-class lever. Traditional Chinese wheelbarrows, however, had a central wheel supporting the whole load. Use of wheelbarrows is common in the construction industry and in gardening. Typical capacity is approximately 100 litres (3.53 cubic feet) of material.
A two-wheel type is more stable on level ground, while the almost universal one-wheel type has better maneuverability in small spaces, on planks, in water, or when tilted ground would throw the load off balance. The use of one wheel also permits greater control of the deposition of the load upon emptying.

Re: Wheelbarrow Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning, Trissie, and thank you for starting us off!
Dogged, I'm glad you a d Germane were able to stay warm and fed during the powers outage. Do you have a power pack that you can use to charge your phone if necessary?
Gma, that was a very productive day. How kind of you to think of your infirm friends and neighbours. And I'm sure the Salvation Army will be very happy to have do actions of good quality shoes. Iny experience,.most flower seeds remain viable for quite some time after the expiry date. You probably won't get such good germination from the bachelor's buttons (and I see you showed extra in anticipation of this!) but I think you should still get something!
We're forecast.anotjer warm,.sunny day today, after a chilly.start. This overnight almost-frosts remind me it's far too early to think about growing anything tender yet! DH goes to the office, so my plan is to tackle the cladding at the front of the house - we had such a wet winter that there are green and black patches where I neglected.to keep up with the regular.wipe.down (because it was so wet!). I know I will give it a "proper" clean when he paints the house (the date has now shifted to late May) but I really.dont want to look at it in its current state until then - if I can get the worst off, I'll be happy). This needs to be tackled in the morning before the sun comes round. I would also like a walk, some garden time, and I need to clean the kitchen and do some admin tasks. That should keep me busy and out of mischief today?

Re: Wheelbarrow Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
DH has left for work, and I'm up and at 'em, and I've cleaned the cladding at the front of the house. It took 20 minutes.
It's not perfect, but it looks so much better, and it will do until painter J comes to paint the outside of the house (hopefully some time in May ) "Wipe and clean all the cladding at the top of the house" was specifically part of the job spec I gave him, so he should be able to make it really sparkle again.
Curiously, the cladding at the back of the house still looks ok - it faces SE, whereas the front faces NW, so I suspect that has a lot to do with it!
Note to self: I really need to continue wiping the cladding throughout the winter when I clean the windows, as this winter I didn't, and it showed.
I've given the bedrooms a quick dust and tidy, and poor Fred is waiting patiently for his walk, so I'd better take him!

Re: Wheelbarrow Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
I'm here with my coffee, kind of bleary-eyed. Trying to wake up.
WTG cleaning your portion of the cladding, Kitty. It sounds like it didn't take long.
I didn't get back here yesterday. The morning was spent taking friend MM to the airport and then at the weekly get together with friends S2, K, and J. I got home from that late - almost 1 pm. In the afternoon, I got sucked into payroll - exam prep, and really wanted to finish the IR exam. It needed a lot of revisions. I did get that done but didn't make the AK, which I'll do today. I also finished revising the AIR exam and sent it off for review. I didn't get in a jog. I did make a run to WF and helped heat up leftovers + made a pan of roasted broccoli for the Tuesday dinner crew. We were a group of 5 for dinner last night. But it was evening #5 in a row with an event - though Friday was a dinner and play (Uncle Vanya) night out with dh. We hosted dinner parties Sunday (9 people) and Tuesday (5 people) and provided food for CG1 on Saturday (12 people). I'm tired of feeding groups of people. LOL! And I can tell my social energy is waning. Thank goodness, I have a break tonight. Then, tomorrow night is helping with the Vol. ESL class. Friday is date night again. Dh and I might go see Hail Mary after dinner out! Saturday is another break - and then we're back at it. Sunday is hosting dinner for up to 8 people, and Monday evening is the church plant BS. . .
Today, I will prep for payroll this morning, teach 11-1, grab a quick snack/ lunch, meet with my personal trainer 2-3, go to Krogers, and be home for good around 4 pm. Maybe I will add to my exercise and go for a walk - but I also need time to work on exam prep and do those tasks I keep procrastinating. Dh will be out tonight giving his final exam (spring semester ends early at this university -but also started early right after New Year) tonight, so I'll be on my own for dinner. That is truly a break! I don't even need to cook!
It is 25*F (-3.9C) right now but is forecast to warm up to 56*F (13.3C)! It looks like it will be a sunny day, which always helps my mood.

Re: Wheelbarrow Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning!
Thanks for the start trissie! I don't own a wheelbarrow...
Kittykatt we are getting sunshine, too, for once! Everything is better in the sun:) 7 C for our high.
I brought the pansies in b/c we were getting into negative numbers at night but they can safely go outside as I see the numbers remain reasonable for the rest of the week...
No need to cook? Amazing, helia! Do go for that walk:) Enjoy the spring weather!
Bama get your sleep when you can! It's important.
Gma is the tooth better?
My day will be spent in the laundry and making calls...
I need to clean front door/back door and front window (inside only)
I will also go to DGD while DD needs to go out - twice today.
Heating pad in full force:)
then:
D2S
take meds/suppl
start a lol
walk dpup
