micro actions accomplished -
** Breakfast type cupcakes cooked & enjoyed. I also included bagels and hashbrowns on DH plate.
** Continue to work on removal of Bermuda grass in garden aisle. This is the only aisle that randomly has Bermuda grass showing up. It has been my experience the only way to get rid of Bermuda grass (without using chemicals) is to dig out the roots. It is a slow process but satisfying to see the result once it is done.
** Made a full pot of my favorite soup....which is made by opening refrigerator door and seeing what random meat and vegetables I find. I make it without a plan or recipe and somehow it always turns out tasty (IMHO). Today the soup has chicken thighs, brisket, hot link, onions, red & green cabbage, carrots, tomatoes and chilis. Everything is chopped up in small pieces. I open the spice cabinet doors and randomly add whatever strikes me - cumin, pepper, cayenne, garlic are some that I remember using today. The end result is a high protein & low carb soup that is tasty, never boring, with a bonus of being easy for me to chew. I package the soup into glass mason jars that are easy to store in refrigerator or freeze.
** The battery weed eater ordered for DH arrived. It is as simple operation that I can find, and I am hopeful that he will be able to use it. He has 70+years of being productive and busy. That is just who he is and it brings him joy. Somehow, I need to find ways for him to continue doing things without danger to himself.

I've spent at least some of the webinar sorting cemetery papers while listening. I had reconciled the account through March but hadn't pulled together all the paid bills with the first Q bank statements. So that is all done. I've made a list for cemetery follow up.
The last session is going now.

I have done kitchen stuff the new recipe is in the oven now.
I cleaned up already that's a win!
Sun is out and it's warmed up glad for that.
Not sure what's next other than my knitting.
Did an art assignment.
-----
UPdate on new recipe I put squares of cheese slices like a diamond one white cheese, one marble alternating all around!
Looks great and its back in the warm oven to make the cheese melty for the win! Did in in an oval instead of slicing it like
cinn. rolls could not figure out how to move sliced ones to the pan with out loosing indigents.

I came home from knitting to find that dh sliced the pork ribs and put them into the pot that I had left on the stove. He also added BBQ sauce. I added 2 onions cut into chunks and turned it on and the house already smells amazing.
It is still raining. Only 2 of us at knitting today. I told dh that the rest of them are afraid that they will melt if rain touches them. (Wizard of Oz reference that he didn't get. Picture the witch saying "I'm melllllllting!!" )

Ddolder dropped by on a walk. We were enjoying the garden beds when she happened to mention to HRH that every day WonderBoy was playing the guitar HRH had given ddolder. And that he was interested in an electric sometime.
So this started a whole thing for him, of reminding her of the whole collection here, and the usual momentary worry when one vintage one couldn't be found quickly. This time, it worried him so much that he and I had to have a photo-taking session to document.
She called on her way home to ask if he wanted to come kill a copperhead she'd encountered halfway home. She'd called ds, whose family would be closest to the situation, but he wasn't at home. We decided she should just give it a wide berth - they are just too common to think getting rid of one fixes much.

I have been out to the yard and calmed down the neighbors dogs as I talked to them and did some weeding.
My new recipe was excellent and I've divided it up and frozen over half of it I put in slices in two containers,
one is not sliced also froze and some in the fridge for tomorrow.
One of the many uses for a walking sticks ... to clear the path of snakes dead or alive!
I have been back out in the yard and picked up the grasses I pulled and got in a wheelbarrow and then in the can.
Put away tools pitchfork and wheel burrow, looks like we have rain coming.

Yep, that would have been a good idea, Nancy. The most important thing I always insist is the phone in the pocket (which, of course, she used well), but a walking stick in the hand is wise for a lot of reasons. A little extra confidence for any possibility, certainly for larger animals protecting territory, the possibility of a rabid animal, groups of unknown dogs, or a coyote. On the chance there's any reason, leverage for pulling up.
It reminds me of Roselynn Carter's quote about her stick, "It's not a cane. It's a trekking pole."
My dear aunt of the daily aprons had a long distance to her mailbox. She would carry her favorite hoe. Multipurpose.
It's supposed to rain through the night, so I'm not going to do any watering now. We need the rain so much.
Twins', in the way we hear folks say, "Make the job your own," please be sure to make this situation your own, too. I'm glad to hear this is not just others placing an addition of more onto your shoulders, but a thoughtful change.
LadyM, I hope he gets good use out of the battery weed eater.
blessed, hoping you have had a great day, too!
Earlier today, I sent both dds a GIF of the bit in the comedy movie Miss Congeniality in which a contestant, dressed in her pageant garb, answers a question by saying her favorite day is April 25th, because it's not too cold or hot, and all you really need is a light jacket.
