Hi!
It's been pouring rain ever since I woke up around an hour or so ago. It was also pouring rain when I finally got to bed after watching Boston Blue last night.
I dusted some book shelves yesterday. I might do more of that today. Or not...

Good morning.
Have done some cleaning in the kitchen to reclaim it.
Never got here yesterday at all.
lucylee, thanks for reassurance about appt and hair (smile) Thurs nite.
It wasn't an easy day, but not so bad.
Monday will be three appts, one in which HRH and I say goodbye to my dr, who now goes to a faraway hospital to work with folks who have never before been able to trek to access the work she does. Very proud of her and her career choices. Will miss her.
TaDas yesterday have been getting the foliar fertilizer sprayed
um, can't think of anything else. A nap.
Costumelady, have adventures!
atlantic flyer, hope you all have a really good service and lesson. I taught adults, and miss it.
Birdlife in Wington
A very good headline today, relief. We have not had a tragedy.
Our little wren must have moved (slightly) her own nest to a little more hidden, deep spot. And ... ..
now has 5 eggs. So, maybe my inexplicable fuss over "her space" is not wasted. Who knows. I'm not naive about nature.
She is beside a metal sign, under plastic foliage and also beneath her own arrangement of leaves, which shouldn't seem welcoming or interesting. I can't take credit for the brilliance of hiding under artificial people-toys
one of the boys had stuck it in the planter while nothing else was happening there, and she figured out for herself that this was good cover. The male helps with the nest, and then lives nearby - maybe he picked it. She's a Carolina Wren, we think, which means she's less "mine" than she sounds, native from Quebec to Nicaragua. Another thing I've learned - they are non-migratory, so she's mine for the season's duration. Next year, probably doesn't pick the same nest.

Researchers speculate that because Carolina wrens forage in and around human settlements and buildings, they’ve gained familiarity with items humans leave lying around.
Carolina wrens nest in small hollows and holes, including synthetic objects like buckets, mailboxes, old shoes, and coat pockets.

Morning it's frosty out here this morning. Sunny. I hear crows or ravens outside overhead.
Yesterday on our walk at the corner saw a deer coming out from between two homes and walk in to the field.
Did not get the young animal in today's vid. but it's the screen!
I have 5 nearly daily places to write stuff re-thinking that.
One at least needs to be weekly maybe a story or thoughts of memories or happenings in a diff. unfinished journal.
One might be EOD .
I'm trying to do some thing each day in the garden so that is needed more this time of year.
Done
[_/_] Journals & Planners QT X
[x] water seeds by the deck
[x] daily drawing
Next
[x]Get sheets out of dryer
[x] bfast
[_] Mop
Later / thought of a new recipe to invent /
roll up meat sauce in dough like cinn. rolls.
H.B. & pizza sauce need to get hb out. Made it note to self next time do not forget the cheese!
It's fair weekend here so loads of folks are at that.
Next to remember to walk somewhere other than the road out there today. [x]
Have a lovely day ladies.

Good morning
I walked out my front door this morning to do morning wellness walk and then turned around and came back inside. It isn't raining but is definitely wet falling from the sky. It is a cross between mist and sprinkle. I'll wait an hour and try again.
No events are scheduled for today, so my options are plentiful. I'm letting the teens sleep in and enjoy a slow start to their Saturday.
In my effort for constant and never-ending improvement, I am selecting one thing to focus on in many areas. I am not looking for big projects but quick & easy ways to improve my surroundings.

It's soggy here today, which works for me because I'm in front of my computer listening to/watching a webinar for the day. Dh went to Torah study. I wasn't able to walk the dog already - she was resistant to putting on her harness and it's rainy, so too bad. I'll take her when we take a break in 45 minutes probably.
On the cemetery issues - I think that dprez was ready to persuade the chair to resign before I forced the issue. Found out that chair and another have meeting this week with the neighboring university for an issue that was should have been discussed with University long long before now - regarding construction on the lot they lease from us! And they waited so late that the construction may have started before they even get there for meeting. LadyM, someone else will have to become the treasurer. I shouldn't do both - separation of duties, etc. but don't know how that will play out. I'm not sure that any of the other board members are available for that - one is a nurse/anesthetist, two are R/E developers who are extremely busy and contribute connections - i.e. at university.
Oy this has been sitting here forever. Second webinar session of the day (Revolution in Virginia Inheritance - from Crown to Commonwealth), dog walked at break.

Continuous improvement micro actions accomplished -
** decluttered dining room table in the fun room
** Removed dirt & grass roots from walkway between raised bed #8 and #9. Added wood chips to make the walkway level.
** Soil added to planters around raised bed #11
** DH phone - connected him to amazon music so he can listen to endless music of his choice
tostadas sounded good this morning so prepared them instead of our typical first meal of fruit & dairy.

Another "S" for a Saturday would be "Sleepy". My goodness. Dh and I had our coffee and hot tea and we both went back to bed. I know I slept for at least 2 hours. Now I'm having leftover turkey on a bun for lunch.
It never fails. As soon as I start to post, dh wants/needs something. After I deal with him I might go to knitting.
