I've done my exercises (I just had Fred, who was asleep in the sun, with me - I evicted the Girls from the bedroom!) and I was inspired to PUPA and quickly dust and hoover upstairs. Going to finally jump in the shower now!

Dogged, I've had basa before, and IMHO it was delicious. Iirc, it was served with a sauce, which wouldn't be suitable for Germane, of course, bit she's a lucky little dog!

Re: Winona Ryder Wednesday
Good morning! I can't believe we are on page 2 already!
Thanks for the start Kittykatt. Picturing you with Freddie lazing around near you:)
Dogged - that is dedication: cooking fish in the middle of the night for Gourmet Germane! Lucky little dog.
Gma your dfriend is so lucky you know what you are doing ...
Finished my book last night and it WAS good... Now, decision is to be made. What do I read next? (No shortage of choices)
Another gloomy morning.
I will attempt to take pup for walk before the rains come.

Re: Winona Ryder Wednesday
Kitty, enjoy your at home day.
Gma, glad you could support your friend. I remember packing to go to Europe for 3 weeks (to visit dh's family) with 3 small children (ages 4, 2, and 4 months one year) every summer for a few years. We needed warmer clothes and cooler clothes, dressier clothes for days in the city and church, and casual clothes - outside play. We needed OTC meds for adults - and also for kids. We usually made a trip to the Alps, so all walking children needed good walking shoes, hats, etc. Plus, the baby needed all the diaper stuff, baby backpack, portable crib. . .And 2-3 car seats. (We sometimes would rent a car seat with the rental car co.) It was quite the production. I agree with your mom - going to a nudist colony, especially one in this country, would have been easier. LOL! I'm glad I'm not doing that anymore! For those trips, I actually did start packing days beforehand.
You asked me about packing yesterday, I think, Doggedly. I have a list somewhere in my documents, but I got so fast at packing when I was traveling to visit my mom every 5 weeks, that I don't really need a list for short trips (2-4 nights) anymore. I just kind of know what to grab. I pack a little differently for car trips v. flying trips, of course. But I don't worry much about some details, like which socks I bring. LOL! When are you leaving on your trip?
Let us know what you decide to read next, kitkat!
All this talk about traveling makes me want to travel! Dh and I are talking about a weekend away for the 2 of us, but our window of time is short (May), and he wants to fly south somewhere in the US - but it is getting hot there - while I'd be happy driving north in Michigan and making it a simpler (but cooler) trip.
Today: I jut have payroll on the schedule. I have a phone call with the director at 11:40, and then I'm going in early (by noon) to make an announcement in two writing classes. I'll just stay and finish prep for my own class and then teach my own class @ 1:40 - 3:30. Dinner will be early as dh has a 7 pm meeting; I'm going to make chicken fajitas and green salad. Before I go in this morning, I'd like to get in a jog and perhaps the grocery shopping as well. Laundry and clean sheets on the bed would be good too - we'll see if they happen.
I'm going to go jog in about an hour. It is very gray and the chance of rain is declining as the morning progresses.
I'm amending my brain dump after a message from SS; the Vol. ESL class has been moved to next week.
Next:
- back exercises

Good morning! Yβall are busy this morning!
Celebrate with me, Iβve been stressed because I had my first doctor visit since 2022, bp is very high in the office so tracking it but she found a goiter so had to get an ultrasound yesterday and got the results already, BENIGN! Yay! What a relief. Today is dhs primary care doctor so not putting up a list until I get back, if I get time to work on it. Have a great day.

Re: Winona Ryder Wednesday
Morning all. I think we've become pretty practiced packing too. Dh always does his own. I did the kids when they were young but very early let them learn how to do their own. October we forget something. I'm the more complicated cause I have to think about the weather. I don't like being cold so I pack a couple sweaters even if it's a little warmer. I like choices. But it's most often to family and I think last trip was a rare one I didn't do laundry there. Mostly cause I would rather not have it all to do at home.
Today is off. Kinda. Taking ds to school and then ds27 and I are going to hopefully finish tiling dad's floor. I hope we can actually finish it. Now we know what we're doing and I advised ds buy 2 more bags of adhesive powder we can return one. We won't run out then. I think first off we gotta move the tile and clean the top landing so we can keep going when we finish the bottom. That's probably going to be most of the useful day. I should go see too if I can move a few things and sort dad's laundry. See if he's missed anything useful for mom. He still brings her laundry home to wash.
Basic routine first and stretch exercises.
On another note I gotta check in with ds this morning before school. He wouldn't go again on Monday. It is just not motivating when he misses almost nothing. I gave him a challenge then. Look up the online ebus school and see what he would like to take. Dd now 25 did all of grades 9 to 12 like that. She pulled herself out of school. Ds16 needs his sports and he would self isolate if he never went. He has lovely new friends with running wrestling rugby. I think he can do ebus at school. Electives are good in class. He can do all his math ebus. And there were a couple of economics classes and other things. They have way more available and actually a challenge there. He's probably going to start with foundations math 10 over summer school and that will see. Cause I can't get him consistent in class. He's also resistant to his iep social skills help cause she's side tracking him trying to pull him out of class. No go.
Anyway I think I will skip shower as I'm going to get messy again. Basic routines. Get dh off and see what I can do.

Re: Winona Ryder Wednesday
That sounds hard with ds, Lauralind. Our kids actually balked at being pulled out of classes in high school for trips because they'd miss so much, and catching up was a lot of work. We scheduled around their vacations/ days off.
I've posted the morning announcements. I'm off to my back exercises and then a jog.
