Dh said he was going outside to do some stuff. When he came in a while later he told me he had taken out the garden hose and hung it up and "that's enough for today". I was making myself a hot tea. Dh asked if he could have a hot tea, so I asked him what kind. I opened the tea cupboard (a ridiculously narrow cupboard between the stove and the fridge) and he saw one of his old favourites (orange honeybush something) so he chose that one.
While we were sitting there I told him I had deleted over 40 people from my phone yesterday. He handed me his phone and asked me to show him how to do that. I helped him delete almost 60 people from his phone. I told him that was enough adulting for him today. He wanted to know what that meant so I explained it to him. I told him that I try to be an adult at least once a week and more than once a week is a bonus. So he did another very adult thing. He called someone on the phone and told him he wanted to come to see him because he owed him an apology and he said it was something he wanted to do in person. They will get together tomorrow. I'm happy because in this community, having a friend who happens to be a farmer is always a good thing. (Dh mouthed off to the guy last year at some point.)
Sorry for the long boring posts, but anything dh does that isn't another setback feels like something I need to celebrate. Even if it is just going outside and putting the garden hose up on it's holder.
