Got my lunch time
Have sawed up the branch that fell yesterday.
Fill a couple of things with weeds I took out the other day.
Seed needs to be picked up that I raked up this morning.

Watered back beds and put tom. cages on the plants I have in already.
Spray is fine might need a 2nd coat not sure yet definitely is an improvement
glad I found that can easily!

----
Pulled out a few more random onions.
Did some knitting.
Got some Vids. of my recent work in the yard.
Got my steps in today.

Twins' I just saw your post about your dcousinJ even though you seemed to have posted before me earlier... .. hmmm, at the same time, maybe. Anyway, I was sorry to hear she is having such discomfort and I think you're wise to pare down visits even though you've surely been a boon to her.

(Cathy), I hope he can have some days he feels better and gets to do the things he wants.

Yes, the DPC is done. Now to wait and see if anything was accomplished by it.

Nancy, our various index cards are like duct tape  as problem-solvers for us handyhomemakers, they have a multitude of uses! Hope the spray works out as you plan.

Painting chat, btw - it dawned on me that the outdoor "thicket" color green paint should afix well to indoor pots, too, and I have some uses for that!

A couple outdoor mini- crises have been averted. HRH and I worked together to stop a leak at one of our outdoor faucets. A strange one that had him having to sit down to ponder it and use his largest wrench, AND get drenched in cold water (oops - he would have been quite vocal if he could have found his voice) but we got it done. A threading problem - isn't it wonderful when something is not my fault?

Also, just one plant was collapsed, looking as though suddenly plunged into desert drought because... ..? ... .. All others around it look gorgeous and ... .. it's May. I began to think some animal killed it from underneath! Remedied that, I think, with a simple watering, but this new-to-me specimen that promised a large, lush presence, is evidently temperamental and will require daily babying beyond our irrigation's help, so I'm disappointed. Keeping my "new thoughts" on the blooms that are going crazy elsewhere in the garden!

I'm home from workout that was mostly stretching and some balance. I feel better, looser.

I spent a few minutes pulling out some family photos if I'm able to share them with dcousins. Stamped a very little also. I'm disappointed that I'm not getting extra time today because he's not out tonight. And dinner out at 5:30 means a short afternoon.

I did all my errands except the volleyball sign up for dgd. I had forgotten to take my copy of her birth certificate with me. (Why am I doing this anyway, you may ask? She asked me once why I always did this. It's just something dh started when dgs first got old enough for t-ball. DH was so excited to get dgs started playing sports, and he didn't really trust ds/ddil to remember to get there before the deadline. So it's just something we always did and I am trying to continue the tradition.)

I also got strawberries for both our households, and took one bucket to ds. DGD was happily preparing a bowl to eat when I left.

I got home, read the paper for awhile, ate waaay too much junk and decided I needed a nap. So I set the alarm on my phone and slept from 5-6. Then I had a meeting at church -- we had to amend the salary for the new pastor.
After I left church, I ate supper at the local drive-in -- kinda like Sonic, the kind where you pull in and order and the carhops bring your food to you -- I just sat there and ate, came home, and

TA-DA --
Typed the church notes AND my teacher group notes from yesterday AND emailed them to all concerned!

Now all I need to do before bed is hmmm... get the sheets ON the bed.
I better do that quickly too. I have a 7:00 a.m. wake-up call in the morning -- awards day for dgs! Then he will officially be a freshman in high school.
I don't think I can stand it. :) :(

Was outside for quite a while. Mixed up and applied the foliar spray, and watered before dusk. Indoors, continued the indoor plant care.

A very quiet evening because HRH was online with friends.

I'm glad you found that the strawberries were still available, lucylee. Sounds delish.

Signing gkids up for sports reminds me of a time inlaws were going to get dson in boxing at the kids sporting club with out me knowing.
I did find out about it and put the kbaush on that. That was not my idea of a fun time having kids hitting each other even if they had boxing
gloves on. dson said he did not really even want to do that. Hubby was working out of town at the time. sigh any way I was mad as a wet hen
that in`laws were massively trying to interfere with raising of our kids and went behind my back to do that. Talk about interfering!
Oh my that took the cake for me. [ I was raised in sort of an anti sports family esp. if it conflicted with mid week church services in a
time conflict.] I now sort of see that boys could use self defense, girls too but I was not of that mind set at that time.

I had low bs this afternoon am okay now. Had to take it easy this afternoon.

Winds kicked up briefly here this evening.

Jet boat races were on the river today I could hear them when I was outside this morning.

Never fear, Nancy, I am definitely not doing this behind the parents' backs! We've discussed it a couple times, and last night I called to ask ds if he wanted me to go sign her up, and I heard dgd in the background saying, "Yes! Yes!" DDIL is definitely not as sports minded as dh, but being in the South now, it seems to be growing on her. She was more upset than I was the other night when dgd wasn't in the starting line-up in the softball game. I guess I have mellowed a little between being mom to a ballplayer and being a grandma. :)

Y'all, I have been sitting here at this computer the whole time since my last post!   I've been watching comedians and just wasting time... I don't know what gets into me!
NOOOO -- I have NOT taken a break to put the sheets on the bed.

But NOW... I am going to do that NOW!!! ----->
