My mother's apartment is done -today is the last day that it is mom's.

the walk through has been done and I must say I did a very good job

The head of the department for the condo's, apartments offered me a job to do the same thing for other clients of the retirement community - I wouldn't do that again but it surely made me feel very good.

My brothers wife came in one day and helped pack things. it was a big help. She came in with her sister to pick up furniture and other things. (pieces of moms life that meant a lot to them). dd older helped a lot and it was great!

my brother never came in and then complained to dd older about things I should have done and that I must be missing things. It's more than ok - I got it done without him.

I did check in this morning and I saw your posts from yesterday - thank you so much for thinking of me!!!!

I hope you all are just wonderful!!!! You are wonderful to me!!! such a blessing.

Blessed - it is so good to see your CI. Congratulations on your success with your DMom apartment.

I delivered DD14 to school with only one bag. ***SHOCKING!** This is a surprising change and I couldn't be happier for her decision to do it. She has insisted on having 3 heavy bags/backpacks with her every minute of school. I weighed her backpack once and it was about 40lbs. She has a locker but chooses to not use it.
ANYway, DD14 and classmates will ride school bus for about 3 hours today for field trip to OKC bombing site and Bricktown. She is looking forward to the trip with friends. Who cares if it is 90+ and the school bus doesn't have a/c.

Today's project continues with tax prep for CPA. I am missing one 1099R.....argh. It has to be here....somewhere.

Oh bw2, so glad to see you checking in! And happy your mom's apartment is finished and do just ignore that brother of yours.

I'm not sure I'll see dcousin today - she had a bad night and her dd will text me later to let me know if she's up for company. I think the last few days have been a lot for her with so many there and that she might prefer a quieter environment now that we've all visited for several days. Dcousin's nausea is worse also.

I will workout this afternoon - needing a lot of gentle stretching and movement. And perhaps some creative time and just some downtime. Dh is bowling again tonight - good for him too.

Update, J is very nauseous and not wanting company right now. I let ds and dh know, and included dd so she will know what's going on also. She called while I was at dfriend M's last night and I thought she might call me back, but didn't.

Glad to hear that tax info is nearly complete LadyM. You might be able to login online and download it - or make a phone call to get it if you need to.

BW2 it is good to get to read your posts again.

I have done three things.
Got outside after that and raked up seed piles to containerize later on.
Bag maybe for some seeds are not all the way down but 75% ish or so are so I can do those.
Made pumpkin corn bread for ddoggo.

Duds are washing now.
Bfast happened.
Found some white spray paint for the black bolts on the lattice.
I need to put down a tarp of drop clothe before I do that.
I made things to go around the bolts from a used recipe card also.

Good morning (for at least the next few minutes)! Obviously, I have not gotten as good a start as I did yesterday. Got to bed later than I would have liked. The good news is that I made a lot of progress on the shopping list last night; I just have to compare what I need to what I already have. I don't think I will be able to cross a whole lot of things off the list; the cupboards are getting awfully bare, or at least the freezer is. I almost thought about trying to get a grocery order in for tonight, but then I remembered the kids are going to the hockey game (AHL playoffs). Fortunately, they were able to arrange a ride with friends, so I don't have to drive downtown in the dark. I was especially worried about where to meet them for pickup. So I'm hoping to get groceries tomorrow morning. DH will be home tomorrow afternoon, but girls' night has been transferred to tomorrow -- too many of us had plans to see the youngest child of our collected group dance her senior recital at the end of the month. When we started out with our girls' nights, most of us had kids in middle school; now all of our kids will be in college or beyond. Anyhow, I will have to make sure to order something DH and the kids can have that will not require much preparation.

So good to hear from you, blessed! Glad that the apartment cleanout went so well. That's not a job I'd want either. How is your mom doing? And how is the construction going?

Good to see DD14 gaining confidence, LadyM! I hope the missing 1099 has presto!ed its way into your hands by now.

It sounds like you have a good plan to take care of yourself, Twins.

Good luck on the DPC, Harriet! I have a couple on the back burner -- the grocery list gives me the excuse that I am doing the Most Important Thing.

I will have to take your efficiency as a good example, Nancy!

Next up: a "Good Mornternoon!" to DC (they've gotten up at a reasonable hour the last couple of days, but sadly, not today). Then lunch and some more dishes. I have been doing the dishes for each meal after that meal and adding a few dishes from the backlog each time. By the time DH gets home tomorrow, I hope there will be no dishes on the counter. After that, more grocery list.

Hi!

Yet another overcast day here. Dh has someone coming to do weed whacking tonight. He also needs help from this guy to work in the gardens. That includes taking down the water tanks and rebuilding the structure they were on and then putting the empty tanks back up. He's also waiting to hear if some special plants are available from another person. These are plants that aren't available for sale at greenhouses or garden centers. Even though growing pot is legal in Canada, nobody sells the plants.

So, dh has a lot to get done in the next week, including going and buying dirt. Normally all that would have been done too early. This year we'll be lucky if he does any of it. I am no longer holding my breath. We had words over this last night. We will be asking the doctor for heavy duty pain meds at our next appointment. We will also discuss whether dh can get either an x ray or an MRI or something. Dh has always assumed it was a muscle problem. Maybe it's a spine problem or something else. I rub ointment into his back at least once a day. Now he also uses a heating pad. He's getting worse and I can't convince him to do anything for himself or around the house. I really thought he would be trying a bit harder to get the gardens ready. Heck, if he can't even do that, maybe it's time for him to go into a long term, full care nursing home. I really thought the gardening would get him up and moving. I am at the end of my rope about this right now.

I am sooo glad to see blessed and hear good news! So glad you got the apartment clean-out finished, and glad your dsisil could help you!

I have a few errands to run -- post office, grocery store (just for bananas, we'll see what I come home with), rec center (I told ds I would go sign up dgd for volleyball) and local produce farm for strawberries. (The ones who always give me a gift card, and I hope I am not too late in the season for strawberries!)
